Now that Celine has all her elements, it is time for her to rise up. Her throne is within her grasp, and she will take it. She will leave the shadows and step out to learn her powers so that she can nourish the waters for their crops to grow and develop a healing touch to restore her people.
Brier, Lindon, and Tate join with Celine again; only this time, they are joined with the newest element … element Lee. Only Lee and Brier have a dark past, and all of them will not travel to the Clearwater Kingdom together.
Another Element has joined them, as well. Jacob is undecided where, exactly, he fits. He doesn’t see Celine as the others do, but the more time he spends with her, who she is becomes clear. The feelings that spark between them are real as they begin to see the truth in one another. A truth that leads them into love.
Jacob is there to teach Celine how to use her powers. As her powers grow, their waters start to flow as one. The attraction, the connection it shows them, allows passions to rain down on them, forming a bond that surprises Jacob and Celine both.
The sacrifice is starting to call to Celine. With each element she bonds with, it calls out for another. Lindon is in the shadows, waiting for his bond. Something has been them holding back. But every time they touch, they feel the pull and it is consuming. Pain and the need for comfort draw them together, but they can’t stop with just one touch.
Because the sacrifice was now calling for fulfillment. It wanted all its Elements joined. And a child is on the horizon.

When I started this series I was really excited about the plot and getting to know this fantasy world. And although the first book was far from perfect, I had high hopes that the next books would be better, that the author would grow and that the world would expand and that the plot would get a bigger and more prominent role.
And, although I still enjoy reading this story in some way, I have to admit that the progress I was hoping for, isn’t really happening. Maybe I simply have to admit that those books and I don’t have the click I had been looking forward to. And that’s okay. We can’t have a click with every author and every story out there. And what doesn’t work for me, might totally work for someone else.
However, that doesn’t mean that there are no things that do work for me. One of the things I really love about this story is how the author takes her time to build the relationships between the characters. They have conversations, they get to know each other, they are more than just people having some instant attraction and acting on it. They really fall in love with each other because of their personalities and therefore we also get the chance to grasp their personalities.
I personally find however that the focus of this story is a little too much on the bonding between the characters, on their very active sex drive and sex life, on their relationship. The blurbs speak of political intrige and a bigger plot and bigger threat, but that’s maybe only 20%, if not less, of the book. And no matter how much I love the fact that the relationships are built up so carefully, I wish the bigger plot would play a bigger role in this story.
Because the bigger plot is really interesting, just like the world is really interesting, but it never truly gets the chance to star. I also feel like the writing is a little too “basic” for me. I have a hard time explaining it, but it misses a unique voice and it also misses, for me, pure emotion. I feel like it’s a lot of tell, but not that much show.
So, I think the premise is awesome and the series has some really nice elements (ha! pun intended!), but I also think that for me it doesn’t reach its full potential yet, which I personally find a pity. However, I’m pretty sure that other people might enjoy this series a lot more than I do. Who knows, maybe you’re one of them?
love the continuation of Celine’s story!
A really good read! I found the storyline intriguing, with twists and turns and surprises along the way that kept it interesting. The characters are well developed and I loved their interactions and chemistry. A really well written book and I look forward to reading the next book.
Unique and full steam ahead…Manis creates beautiful romance and intriguing action.
Holy Wow! This book is so damn good! I didn’t think it was possible, but this series just keeps getting better! Celine and Jacob(my fav) are the main focus of this book, as they take on each other and their new responsibilities. The storyline is fabulous, with plenty of twists, turns, surprises, intrigue, and so much sexiness! I could not put this book down, it is a definite must read! I am going to go crazy awaiting the next book!
