I loved this whole series.
I adored Miss Notley she was a plucky character who was perfectly fine with saving herself.
Is this title correct??? I think the title of this story needs to be changed to ‘The Taming of the Beast’. Jonathan had a reputation for sacking his employees without notice. That is until he hired Miss Notley as his housekeeper. From then on this story takes on a wonder of twists and turns that are quite entertaining. It was hard to set this book down. I believe I had a smile on my face for most of this reading. The rest of the time I hardly paid attention to my face as I was engrossed in wondering what was going to happen next. Once I reached the end of the story, I understood why the actual title of this book was so apropos. I concede that it is a correct title, however perhaps it could include both characters? It would only be fitting as they both had risen in the eyes of those around them. This is a read I can highly recommend.
I loved this book and down loaded the book about Harriett.
It was ok. I found some of the circumstances a bit hard to believe, but it’s only a fanciful romance, so it’s fine.
Fast read, very enjoyable.
I never read this genre but I did like it Went on to read #3 Sweet story
Really enjoyed this book.
Easy romance for an evening after a tiring day.
This book was easy to read and the characters were well developed and easy to like. It was predictable but very enjoyable with a happily ever after ending.
It is a good book
This is a cute book which I thoroughly enjoyed. The author gave me many chuckles during my pandemic home confine!ent. Exactly what I needed.
It was predictable but still an entertaining read. I enjoyed it.
The characters were admirable for their belief in honesty and humble in their discovery that honesty is not always the easy way.
Really enjoyed the surprising and fun relationships!
This was an enjoyable read. I will read more from this author.
This is a wonderful clean regency romance. I enjoyed it so much. I look forward to reading more of Rachael Anderson’s books
To be or not to be a housekeeper
Stern and unforgiving, Mr. Ludlow never gives second chances to anyone. He certainly never expected to give an unqualified young Miss Notley the position of housekeeper. What was he thinking?
The Rise of Miss Notley by Rachael Anderson was well written, and I mostly liked this sweet Regency romance. That said, I didn’t like it as much as the first book in the series. I did enjoyed getting to catch up with the characters from the first book, as well as get to know a new heroine and hero. Also, many of the secondary characters were interesting, as were their stories. Like with the first book there were humorous moments, but there was also just a little too much angst for my taste. Thankfully the happy ending was smile-worthy
Content: This book is clean and suitable for any age reader.
Enjoyed this book. Liked the banter.
