Gwen thinks it’s all over. She couldn’t be more wrong. I’m Arthur. The rightful king and heir. But only if I can prove it. If I can’t, then my kingdom will be torn apart, and I’ll lose everything – my crown, my friends, and the woman I love.To make matters worse, Dindrane has a prophecy of her own we need to stop from coming true. We need to stop them both, before it’s too late.-The Rightful … too late.

The Rightful King is book two in the Fate Of The Crown Duology and follows Arthur and Dindrane. This is a non-bully academy romance based on Arthurian legends.

I thoroughly enjoyed ‘The Rightful King’ which is the second book in the “Fate of the Crown Duology” and also a retelling of King Arthur’s story. Laura Greenwood’s world is detailed, the characters are well developed and I could immerse myself in the storyline. This was a really fun read for me.
Arthur is not nearly as stodgy in this book as the cover might lead you to think – it is actually a rather fun, YA romance with a bit of family conflict and a lot of friendship. Dindrane is finding her life changing dramatically, but Gwen is by her side supporting her through it. Meanwhile, Arthur is facing his second curse and this once could be even worse than the first. Can these friends get through it all together?
Dindrane is more often associated with the holy grail, but as traditionally Percival’s sister, she seemed a logical choice as a love interest. I had trouble placing her curse, seemed possibly reminiscent of The Juniper Tree. She just seemed so unsure of herself throughout the book – I was glad at the end when she finally found the confidence to follow through with something she though was right. There is hope for her yet! The romance in this one was adorable 🙂
This is the second book of a duology set in the same world as Once Upon an Academy and Grimm Academy and you might just recognize a few familiar faces if you have read those books. It can be enjoyed as a standalone, but really should be read after The Almost Queen as the events follow that book and it builds in the world building from that book. There is an opening left for more stories with characters from King Arthur’s court, but this ends in a very satisfying way.
loved it !!! twists on the Arthur story…picks up right after the queen… it just sucks you into their world…could not put it down !!!

The Rightful King is book two of the Fate of the Crown duology and it picks up where book one left off. If you read book one then you know this is the story of Arthur, Gwen, and Lancelot but with some interesting twists. I really enjoyed reading this author’s version because of the well developed characters and the amazing world the author has created.
This second book was just as enjoyable as the first. I’ve always enjoyed Arthurian tales and the story line in the book was well written as well as the characters.

f you enjoy retellings of classics with fun characters, a great storyline, and romance, then this is the book for you! The characters were well-written and interesting and I loved them. The had fun personalities and I was excited to see how their stories wrapped up in this duology. Greenwood has a way of writing that sucks me in every time and surprises me. The storyline was unique and was an interesting retelling of the Arthurian legend. The romance was sweet and clean and added to this story. I really enjoyed this fun retelling and can’t wait for more by this author!
This novella continues where they left off from book one in the Fate of the Crown Duology. Arthur and Genevieve (Gwen) have broken up. Gwen and Lancelot are in love and are together. Arthur has fallen in love with Dindrane, who is Percival’s sister. They all go to Grimm Academy and they are trying to stop Arthur’s and Dindrane’s bad prophecies from becoming true. This story is loosely based on King Arthur’s legend with the author’s own twist to their story. It was an entertaining read with enjoyable characters that interact well. The story flowed well and kept you interested in finding out how they would resolve their issues. Another good story by this author! Arthur not end up with Guinevere? Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, and Dindrane all have prophecies. And if they stop their prophecies from coming true, they might all end up with the true loves of their life instead of what the prophecies foretold. But as usual the road to true love has bumps along the way. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
I liked this twist on the Arthur story. t is the continuation from the first book but involves Author as the main character. It was cute, fun to read and nice characters. We get to meet more of the kids families and try to figure out how they ended up such good kids. The twist to Arthurs prophecy was fun too. Just fun and entertaining to read.
The second book in the Fate Of The Crown Duology an Arthurian retelling of Arthur. This is Arthur and Dindrane who both have a prophecy that must be fulfilled, they will have help from their friends Gwen, Lancelot, and Merlin. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. I am a complete fan of King Arthur and the original story. This story is different from the original story. It was exciting and had great characters and a great story line that I quite enjoyed. It had me reading all the way until the end and I was happy with the story. I am giving this story stars instead of five because I am enamored with the original story so much that this retelling just didn’t seem completely right to me. It is an awesome retelling though and I do not want to take away from that so I am still giving it high points just not the total five stars.

This second story in the series is really Arthur’s story. I enjoyed the take on the legend and actually enjoy this much better than the originals. The story is fun with some drama but the world-building is amazing.
Book two of this duology was as enjoyable as the first one was! I really liked the new spin on the legend of King Arthur and found it innovative and original in the way Ms. Greenwood has such a talent for doing. I can only wish she would have more stories about this world she has created.

The Second Prophecy
“The Rightful King” is Arthur and Dindrane’s story. This installment is the perfect addition to the Grimm Academy and an original reimagining of the King Arthur legend. Arthur must see his second prophecy to its end to find his HEA with Dindrane.
