He never expects to find her there… knows nothing of his clandestine activities with the criminal enterprise, and stands as her stalwart protector.
Forced into marriage…
But Quinten never expects the mob boss to force them into marriage at gunpoint as a test of loyalty. Not to mention, the idea of her belonging to him isn’t unappealing, nor is he as averse to the prospect as he lets on. Becca, with her sweet curves and take no prisoners attitude, fascinates him, stirs him, and leaves him craving her submission. Yet his past is fraught with broken dreams and death, so he uses his friendship with her brother as a shield against his yearning to claim her as his own.
Resistance is futile…
However, circumstances soon compel Becca and Quinten to become the most unlikely allies in a deadly game of deception. Now they must depend on one another for survival. As they race to unlock the keys to breaking the case, will Quinten be able to maintain his hands-off policy with Becca? Or will he surrender to the earth-shattering passion and turn their marriage of convenience into the real deal?

This is the third book in the Crescent City Kings series, it can be read on its own but more enjoyable if you read them in order. If you don’t like BDSM, then you may not want to continue. Becca finds out the local mob is running drugs through her art gallery and is saved by Quinton, her brothers best friend, and an undercover cop. They go on the run and he gives in to his attraction to her. They had some intense scenes in the dungeon and their chemistry was off the charts. Although he keeps fighting his attraction to her, dangerous situation makes him realize how he feels and finally gives into them. I have enjoyed all of Ms Summers books and this is no exception.
Anya Summers delivers great books full of action and great sex scenes that are oh so darn hot in this wonderful series of Crescent City Kings series. Becca and Quintens scenes make the pages sizzle with chemistry and their hot scenes. Quinten is an undercover cop and Becca owns a Art Gallery that is been used by the mob. However when they meet at one of the mobs parties that Becca is forced to attend, Quinten and Becca pretent to be ingaged, the only thing is the leader demands that they marry then and there. So to keep up apperances they do so……….
You really dont want to miss this fantastic book…. phew… hot hot hot.. in all ways….
Hero cop with battered heart finds love…
Quinten has an injured heart and does not let anyone in that is, until he rescues his best friend’s little sister Becca. Becca has never found her place, she doesn’t “fit in” that is until Quinten marries her to save her life. These are the characters that Anya is great at creating and developing; then writing their stories. This story is of danger, lava hot attraction that cannot be resisted, and finding ones place and person. Some BDSM that allows Becca to be strong & independent outside the bedroom and submissive within, if that is something you like I recommend this story.

Loved this book, but I’m fan of Anya Summers book.
We have dungeon, Dom and his Pet and hottest sex. It’s a BDSM romance with some suspense twist.
Quentin and Becca are great together but Quentin should man up a little. He is a Dom after all…
The storyline is good, very enjoyable and entertaining read
Definitely recommended.

Anya Summers has become one of my go to authors. I know I’ll always get an enjoyable read and this is no exception. Becca is surprised to discover her gallery has become a front for a local crime boss. But what is even more surprising is that her brothers friend Quinton is involved. Both of these characters have to overcome their own ideas about what their relationship should be before they can consider being together. I really enjoyed this book, it was part roadtrip, part crime story. I did feel that there was a point in the story that was going to address Becca’s family, but that never came, which I was disappointed about. Overall a great read and I’m looking forward to more in this series
This book starts out at top speed and keeps moving right along. Becca stumbles upon her assistant using her art gallery to bring in drugs. She is forced to go to the head of the outfit that evening and discovers her brother’s best friend Quentin is an undercover cop. They end up having to marry one another and then they go on the run. Add in that Quentin is a dom and Becca thinks she is submissive and we have an explosive story. Even though this is book three of the series, they are loosely connected. They are all standalones. Of course, there is a HEA and I am eager to find out how the other masters at the club find their partners. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the third book in the Crescent Kings series. Although it would work well as a standalone, the whole series is five stars, and the books work well together. This one focuses on Becca and Quinten. When Becca finds drugs being shipped into her studio, she’s ends up in way over her head. Thankfully Quinten, working undercover, is able to step in and rescue her.
Becca was a very likeable character. Becca initially seems like a very confident woman, but the author slowly reveals a lot of long standing insecurities. That helped her feel more real to me. Quinten was an incredibly hot male lead. Despite seemingly having it all together, his past hurt had him repeatedly screwing things up with Becca. Just like in the previous books, the other members of the club were more thank willing to step in and work thinks out.
The story itself was well written and flowed really well. The author pulled me in from the beginning and kept my attention until the end. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.

I liked this book. This story is filled with drama, thrills, danger, tension, suspense, emotional turmoil, sizzling steam, romance, BDSM and a hint of the forbidden. Becca and Quinten were likable, had great chemistry and I was a big fan of the brother’s best friend angle. My ore pet peeve was how back and forth Quinten was in his attitude and actions toward Becca. This is my volitional, forthright review.
Great start and does not disapoint. Grabbed my attention and held it to the end.
Loved Becca and Quinten, their chemistry is off the charts. She is a stong self aware woman who follows her dreams. Becca does not back down in fear but stands strong.
Quinten is a fierce strong man following his family legacy in the police force, but the loss of his younger brother has left him scarred.
You will not be able to put it down so be prepared.

This was a story that grabs you from the very start. A mob boss, untrustworthy assistant, absentminded artist, undercover mission and a run for their lives, while still being able to discover submission and trust. Becca is in new territory but with Quinten in her corner she just might get out alive, unless he kills her from denial, too much pleasure, or her stubbornness. But her soft quiet side along with her willingness to please has him tied up in knots that he doesnt think he will be able to untangle from. I was absolutely enthralled with this story.

You don’t often find books that haul you in and hang on to you from the first page, if not actually the first sentence, but this one does that. There are levels of deceit, of betrayal, and of suspense in this book, and both Quinten and Becca are appealing characters that you pretty much root for from the start. Becca is no pushover, and she is a good match for Quinten – even if he doesn’t see it for most of the book. This is fiction, so there are some possibly over-speedy resolutions, but they don’t detract from the story, and they certainly didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story. The Crescent City Kings is rapidly becoming a favorite series.

I’m honestly not quite sure about this book. At times I got so frustrated with it that I had to put it down and read something else. I absolutely love Anya Summer’s books, so I’m not exactly sure why this one didn’t appeal to me as well as the others. I think the writing is done very well, but there are some parts that I feel were left with no resolution in my mind. I think most people might enjoy this story due to the BDSM, suspense, and very steamy scenes that take place.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This was an Anya Summers Awesome Story! I haven’t read one of her books that hasn’t taken me on a thrilling, steamy ride and I’ve read each and every one of her books! This is a detective and an art gallery owner on the run from Mobsters!! But it still has the BDSM touches in it! A great book for the over 18 crowd. Loved it!!

Have a tall icy drink at hand when you read this one. Full of action and ACTION (wink wink), this book is a fast moving read. I was hoping for a more dramatic ending but it had a satisfactory HEA anyways. Some characters from other books make an appearance but they were not integral to the story.

Becca is the black sheep of the family…always too much for others. Quentin is the hot cop friend off her brother..also a Dom. When they unexpectedly run into each other in a very dangerous situation can Becca convince him too let go and can Quentin stay away from his friend”s little sister and keep her safe?

Becca and Quinten meet up again in the house of a criminal kingpin. While not sure if they can trust the other, Quinten’s quick thinking at least saves his best friend’s little sister. His cover is blown soon after, and they have to go on the run.
Although the suspense story line is cookie cutter, I did like the heat build up between the MC. Becca is no pushover and speaks her mind each time Quinten steps over the line. She was strong in herself and her knowledge of what she wanted.
I did feel the ending was a bit rushed. Quinten should not have been as quickly forgiven, by both Becca or her brother. I did not think he made up for all the hurt he caused.
As always a well written book by Anya Summers

When I first started reading this story I was immediately drawn in with the picture the author was painting and the characters seemed like they would be fun to spend an evening with.
Becca’s character seemed to be a touch naïve, somewhat vulnerable but still had enough of a spine that I found myself liking her and her self-talk wasn’t too immature.
Quinten came across as a very standup guy, with a strong code of ethics. Finding himself in a position where he was trying to fight his attraction to a close friend’s sister and still bring in the bad guy was a pretty tall order but it sounded like his character was up to the task.
Where things went off the rails was when Becca and Quinten finally gave into their desires and sweated up the sheets. While I understood Quinten was harboring guilt on two fronts one from messing with a friend’s sister and the other from his younger brother being killed, his hot and cold towards Becca got old after a while. One minute he’s all in and enjoying himself the next he needs to leave her alone and break up with her, then it’s back to just one touch etc…and repeat.
His wishy washy behavior continued through most of the book, several of his Dom friends told him to get a grip and man up that he had feelings for her and he should see where things lead. Let’s just say for a Dom he was acting very much like a newbie Sub. Becca had more of a spine than Quinten did and was willing to at least take the risk.
There are a few things about the reason these two had to pretend to be married that are a little out there, but hey it’s more of a BDSM story than a serious thriller, so as long as you keep that in mind it should be fine.
I also discovered that besides the words Sir and Master as being something that does nothing for me I can now add Pet. Will admit to my eyelids twitching every time I saw the word and the author used it more than 62 times. I did breeze by the BDSM scenes once the word pet made it’s debut. (Yes I know in some BDSM stories the words sir and master are used I usually just skip it when I read the story.)
It’s not a bad read, Quinten’s back and forth gave me whiplash after a while and he just made the book seem to drag for me.

I loved this book, it has everything I like, a mystery, a twist, and a sensuous, erotic love story. Quinten and Becca have an instant connection but he has baggage and is a seasoned Dom. Becca is an artist and thinks she is submissive and wants to explore further. They have Becca’s brother in common and baby sisters are off limits. Their coming together is unique to say the least but boy do they sizzle. There are problems to overcome but her submissiveness is not one of them she is deeply submissive and Quinten is the perfect Dom. There is a twist at the end and a happy ending and some humour with Michael and Danton; altogether a great story.

Quinten didn’t like to see her there. There she was standing with Rudnikov and he wanted to know how Quentin knew her told that Becca was engaged to Quinten. So Rudnikov wanted them to get married that night because Becca was angry at him because he wouldn’t set a date. Becca loved Quinten though all he wanted was sex,. His friends and colleagues who were also Doms were asked to look after Becca if he were to die. They had been setting up a sting on Rudnikov and Becca just happened to be at the wrong place. Quinten couldn’t believed how much he loved her but kept things at an arm’s length. Being a detective he was in the middle of a sting and he had to bring Becca with him. Little does he know that a lot of things would be reveled at the sting. Things he wasn’t ready to hear
Quinten rescues Becca from a dire situation. The situation binds them together in an unlikely manner. Their love for one another grows, as secrets of the past are revealed.
