This was a great book to end the trilogy on. I really loved the friendship between Hudson (Hud) and Joanne. They were high school sweethearts that were on a break when both of their lives changed. They were able to rebuild their friendship and they became the best of friends, neither able to find a lasting relationship. After Joanne gets left at the altar, Hudson is there to help her move on. But Joanne realizes she isn’t as broken up about it as she should be, she is more concerned with how it will affect her business- a bridal shop. I love that Hud tries to help Joanne get past this and it opens her eyes that maybe she never got over Hud. Of course Hud is trying to show Joanne that he can be and is the guy for her. They really were a great couple and I was so happy for them to find one another again.
This was a great book and a great trilogy. I would definitely recommend it.
Book three of the Wildfire Ridge series a well written story the story flowed smoothly from page to page. Joanne Brant is dumped at the altar and her best friend Hudson Decker is there for her.Hudson loves her but can she finally she what is right in front? I enjoyed seeing their story come together. I will be reading this story again. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Solid 4.5 star
Be ready for a fun, frustrating, sweet and enjoyable read.Joanne and Hudson had their chance when they were young and it didn’t go to plan and now years later Hudson has the chance to set things right but boy is Joanne not going to make it easy and I don’t blame her she has been burnt and there is mistrust where Hudson is concerned. But the determination Hudson shows in trying to woo and show her he is worth the risk is so well almost swoon worthy but it isn’t going to be easy and it was great seeing them both wary of their feelings and making Hudson work for Joanne’s feelings.

Jo is a jilted bride, wedding shop owner, best friend to Hudson. Hud is a firefighter and man-whore. They were each other’s first at 16, and have remained best friends ever since. And now, they’ve decided to do what they should have done all those years ago – be together. I love how Jo and Matt (her son’s father) can mostly work together for Hunter’s best interest. I love even more how Matt apologizes when he doesn’t talk to Jo first about the driver’s license, and his acknowledgment that she’s done most of the heavy lifting when it comes to raising Hunter. Hud – OMG my new book boyfriend! When he decides to go for it with Jo, he’s all in. This is a terrific little town they live in – lots of friends and great neighbors. I’m so sorry that I missed the first two books, but will try to grab them at some point.

Jo & Hud were first loves that seemed destined to be together. Their relationship took a hit when they were teens. Hud wanted to spread his wings & date other girls so they broke up. As fate would have it, when Jo went on her first date, other than Hud, she ended up pregnant. With time, Jo & Hud settled into a friendship that deepened over time. Now that they are both free at the same time, can they deepen their connection even more? Or will they end up losing their friendship?
I love all of the connections in this story. It connects with the characters in the other books in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Ms. Belle does an excellent job developing her characters into well rounded individuals that everyone can identify with. The connections that they have with their families, friends, coworkers, & even the older ladies relying on Hud & the fire department, show a great deal of emotion, love & togetherness. This was another well written story from a great author.
This was a fun addition to the Wild Fire Ridge series!
Joanne and Hud were first loves who crashed and burned in high school. Now, 16 years later, they are best friends and nothing more. After Jo is left at the alter, Hud is there is help her put her life back together, again. But this time he wants to be a lot more than friends.
I love this series and The Right Moment was a great addition! I loved Hud and his fun, flirty nature. Another great story from Heatherly Bell!
We are back with the Wildfire Ridge series, and this time it’s Joanne Brant and Hud/Hudson Decker who get their story.
Jo and Hud have a history dating back 16 years ago when they were 16 . They lost their virginity to each other but when Jo wants a serious relationship, Hud runs the other way. Not realizing that their lives would change forever when she became a teenage mom after a night with someone else.
But they have remained best friends and it’s Hud whom she chose to give her away at the wedding she’s diligently planned. But what happens when the groom gets cold feet?
Will Jo and Hud finally realize that they are right for each other and that NOW is the right moment for them? Or will fears of commitment from one, and fears of abandonment from the other keep them from finding their HEA?
This is another sweet , though at times heartbreaking story, in this entertaining series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book.
