This was a cute, fun novella. I really liked Jimmy, he was such a nice guy. Trisha kind of annoyed me but overall I loved them as a couple. Trisha was basically a bridezilla and all she thought about was her wedding. Jimmy thought about his marriage not just the wedding day. I am glad that they didn’t let this bump in the road derail their whole relationship and Jimmy really pulled out the stops for Trish at the end. It opened her eyes a little and she realized there was more to her relationship than just the wedding day. This was a quick read and I would recommend it.
Trish has been planning her wedding since she was a child. Jimmy loves Trish and just wants to get married. Then…the wedding planning!
Jimmy would be happy with a quickie…elope he said…why not…he asked. We want to be married…let’s just do it. Unfortunately, Trish isn’t having that. She ‘planned’ her wedding with her now deceased mother as a young girl. Hours spent in wedding magazines, with discussion about what would be the perfect day.
The Right Man, begins with Trish and Jimmy newly ‘broken up’. She can’t believe he wants to ‘cheapen’ their marriage by eloping, but she’s still in love with him, so hasn’t had a chance to tell anyone in her family they’re not together anymore. With Thanksgiving looming, Trish asks Jimmy to ‘fake it’ for that day. She promises to tell her grandmother the news when they (Trish and Grandma) go Black Friday shopping
Grandma has some wise words for Trish, and Jimmy concurrently takes matters into his own hands. The result is Trish’s dream come true.
This was a novella, so there wasn’t time for agonizing reappraisal of the relationship. It was a very quick read and I enjoyed it! It fit right in with the other books in this series, although it does stand alone and you don’t need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one. You will WANT to continue to read this series though!!
Trish and Jimmy are really perfect for one another…except for the fact they don’t communicate very well! The Right Man by Heatherly Bell really showcased how if you don’t actually talk to one another, events can go horribly wrong. The great news is, once you DO actually communicate, there is a spectacular chance of everything working out. A great story about two people who are just meant for one another…as long as they stop being scared to open up – sometimes the biggest leap of their lives.
This book was the perfect book after a rough week at work! I really enjoyed the flow of the storytelling within this book. The characters were interesting and the premise of the second chance romance was awesome. It is one of my favorite themes.
Does Bridezilla get to marry her true match or does she blow it with her perfect man? This was a fun read I highly recommend this book!
Enjoyable
Bridezilla was something he couldn’t understand. He loved her but the perfect wedding. He told her they should elope & it didn’t go well. But they loved each other still.
