I am absolutely loving this collection! Ada wants her friend/roommate’s brother who doesn’t even know she exists. The BMF, (Best Male Friend) Theo, is everything a man should be. Excuse me while I swoon . Sometimes you go looking for love and the fairytale ending when in truth, you never had to look in the first place.
This is the third book in the Modern Princess series. Each book in this series is based on a fairytale and this one is loosely based on the The Princess and the Pea. This modern retelling gives us a friends to lovers romance. Ada is in love with her best friend’s brother, Cicero. However, in college, Ada works at a local bar and her boss Theo is in love with her. During her time working at the bar, Theo has fast become a good friend. Quite an interesting love triangle here! Is Ada focused on the wrong man? Who will she ultimately choose? Ada needs to take a close look at her heart and what she really wants. This is a cute and sweet addition to the series that I really enjoyed reading. It’s an amazing series and I can’t wait to see which princess story comes next!

The Right Princess is a beautifully written modern retelling of the classic fairytale ‘The Princess and the Pea’. This college friends to lovers story was beautifully enchanting from start to finish. Theo and Ada’s story is sweet, passionate, steamy, heartwarming and on occasion utterly frustrating. A quick read that had me enthralled and unable to put down as I desperately wanted to see how this fairytale would end and enjoy the moment when these two discovered their Happily Ever After has been in front of them all along.
A fantastic, engaging, and brilliantly written read! The story-line is flawless, emotionally deep, witty, funny, fast pace, and is guaranteed to pull you in and hold your interest until the end with the drama, back and forth, and ups and downs. The characters are likeable and you will love and root for them; the chemistry between them is off the charts. I did not like the end; it ended a bit abruptly in my opinion; it could have been better. Definitely recommended!

This was such a refreshing take on princess and the pea. I loved every single second of this story. The emotions that the author poured into this story can be felt on every page.
I liked this book for the most part. I wanted to slap her to get her to see what was obvious. I know she is young and just starting out but she needed a good taking to.

This is book three in the Modern Princess Collection. Ada is tasked with marrying wealthy but she wants to marry for love and all the stuff that one reads about. Her roommates older brother, Cicero, would fit her Dad’s husband wishlist but she is not sure he fits hers. Her boss and best friend at the bar, Theo, could fit her wishlist but not Daddy’s. He is her best friend, now what to do, take that chance? A frustratingly good, insta love story where best friends cross the physical line. Enjoy!

Fairy tale with a twist! Right Princess will have you cheering for the best friend in this classic retelling of The Princess and the Pea. This was a sweet friends to lovers story, with minimal drama and a whole lot of romance. It’s a good thing it wasn’t a film as I would’ve been chucking popcorn at the screen for my annoyance with some characters, and their blindness at what was right in front of them, lol.
3,5* of very well written story
This story was really well paced and very well written. I liked the heroine and could relate to her crush on the wrong guy. There are moments in our life that we tend to want something we shouldn’t and we are more often then not blind and we do not see straight away that this might not be the best thing for us. I liked how she was trying to understand her feelings and fight for Theo. What I didn’t like that much were some actions of Theo. But I’m always trying to rate the story not judging the characters, but somehow here it irked me a lot. Unrequited feelings, bruised ego and unwillingness to put his pride aside could have something to do with the fact how he acted. It didn’t sit well with me especially that through whole book I didn’t see it coming. He was portrayed as different person, so that it was a little bit shocking. And the ending of the story was too much of back and forth. All in all I spent good time with the characters and liked the plot itself.
This was a great book that was full of pages with well developed characters and engaging storyline and plenty of chemistry to keep me entertained.

This is my first book by this author, it won’t be the last. I’m not a reviewer that repeats the blurbs, if you’re reading the reviews you probably already know what the story is about. I like a book with a strong female lead and a man that’s strong and secure enough to let her be herself. I like intelligent dialog, humor, and steam. This book has all that. I was not disappointed with the characters interaction or maturity level. I found it to be an entertaining quick read and would recommend it. The Modern Princess Collection has been a pleasant distraction from every day life.
The storyline was wonderfully written with characters that were so well defined that I was totally captivated throughout the entire book!
I gave this four stars because I don’t rate any lower than four. Just because this isn’t the right book for me doesn’t mean I need to rate it low. I did enjoy the story for the most part. Ada having 2 men in her life: the best friend and the man she wants who really doesn’t give her the time of day. I mean, granted it’s not hard to see who she should choose. However, I think both men act the same and are wishy washy. I didn’t like either one of them as a potential mate. They were both fine in the friend mode…but that’s just my own opinion.
I loved the characters Ada and Theo. They worked together and were best friends. Neither one wanted to admit they cared more About the other person than just friendship. Ada was so fun and easy to like. She goes to CamU and works at the Reef bar with Theo, who is also her boss. Ada thinks she is in love with her roommates brother Ro but Ro is going with Fia, Drama Queen. Ada figures out that Ro is just a player and not for her and that she really loves Theo. Ada thinks that she has to marry someone who is rich. Ada’s mother likes Theo better than Ro and encourages Ada to ask Theo to the dance. Another great story around College and really life.
Right Princess is a modern-day Princess and the Pea fairytale. This is the first book I have read by this author but it will not be the last. Loved the friends to lovers storyline and would have given this 5 stars except for one plot twist that turned me off but despite that, this was a cute story that I finished in no time.
I am loving this series – the Modern Princess Collection. The Right Princess by Autumn Archer is a fairytale rendition and loosely based on The Princess and the Pea. In Right Princess, we meet Ada who is head over heels in love with her best friend and roommate Kitty’s brother Cicero. Ada has always been a spoiled princess and friends wanted to get close to her due to her parents’ wealth. Once starting at college, she decided not to tell anyone about who she was and got a job at the local bar The Reef where her new boss Theo becomes one of her closest confidantes. We see that of course, Theo is head over heels in love with Ada but her eyes and obsessions are fixated on Cicero. Especially since she has been told that to inherit her family’s company Rarity she must marry someone as wealthy as her. We have a lot of back and fro’ing with a love triangle between Ada, Theo, and Ro. I was wondering how this book was going to be related to The Princess and the Pea but about halfway through you start to see little easter eggs relating to the original tale. I have to admit I did get frustrated with Ada as it was like hurry up and tell Theo how you feel and then Theo at times was like a spoilt little kid himself with the occasional tantrums he threw.
Overall though I did enjoy Right Princess and now looking forward to reading the other books in the Modern Princess Collection. Fans of Fairytales and those who love renditions and variants of the stories will love Right Princess by Autumn Archer.
This is a modern day retelling of “Princess and the Pea”. “Our Princess” Ada is a bit naïve at times. Her journey to finding love feels misguided. She has a great attitude about entering college and not coming off entitled.
Theo is a best-friend to Ada who gets a front row seat to all her missteps.
Unrequited love, college life, and obliviousness are key elements. As all is revealed, Theo becomes my dude. Sigh. He is my fav in this book.
Happy Reading Everyone!
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Theo and Ada. She’s from a family that makes speciality jewelry for the rich and famous. He manages a bar that Ada works at. Both are keeping secrets. But Ada has a crush on her roommate’s brother, but he’s unavailable. But she relies on Theo and he’s her best male friend. Great beginnings to a HEA.

2 1/2 Stars
I was really loving this BMF to lovers romance as the author sweetly built up Ada’s realization that Theo was the be she loved.
At 73% of the book, my heart broke for her even though she was made of sterner stuff and was determined to let Theo know how she felt. The whole scene with the OW, and the fact that he continued was to awful for me. Nope.
Still three stars because the first three fourths was really good.

Cute book loosely based on the princess and the pea. Good book and plot. Theo and Ada are adorable and the hea is very sweet.
