As the youngest of her large family, Skye Devereaux has tried to be taken seriously all her life. Despite her age and her successful career, her family and half her small town still treat her like a little girl. She’s been in love with Matthew Jenkins, her brother’s best friend, since she was twelve years old, and he still thinks about her like a little girl too. She’s tired of it. She’s had … it. She’s had enough. She’s going to prove to Matthew and to the rest of the world–and maybe also to herself–that she deserves more than being patted on the head. A high school reunion that brings Matthew back to town is the perfect opportunity to show him she’s all grown up.
She just needs to figure out how.

Well, this was cute.
This time we have Skye and Matthew; she’s had a crush on his since she was little and first met him; and he, although flattered by that attention, doesn’t feel the same for her. Until now.
I liked Skye, she was pretty kick ass, but I felt for her and her unrequired love. Years loving this guy, and he only sees her as a little girl. No wonder she wanted to move on. It also sucked that the town saw her only as that, as well.
Matthew was cool, but I wasn’t a fan of his constant hesitation. It was frustrating, to say the least. He was a good guy, who didn’t know how to show his love, but still. Tell her, dude, lol.
All in all, this was a cute read. Frustrating and sweet.
And omg Theodore. <3
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
What is there not to love about this little story? It’s short and sweet and leaves you with a smile. Throw in a special dog and you have a good little quick read.
You could feel the simmer between Skye and Matthew, but the fact that they just seemed to ignore the pull they felt was sometimes irritating – you kinda want to jump in the book and yell “open your eyes….say something, anything”. I admired Skye’s attempts to keep her teenage crush at bay, it think it really made the difference in the way the tables turned and added to the sweetness of the story.
This series is so delicate and romantic, which is the mark of the Noelle Adams’s books.
Skye has always a crush on Matthew (her brother’s best friend) and they lived together in the same small city. Now, he is an architect and lives in a big city and she is living her dream at Azalea with her friends and business.
Matthew always thought that he is not deserved and Skye is that ultimate goal that was distant from a possibility. She is a couple of years younger and has always been the baby… Now, they are both adults with all their limitations and romance seems possible, but he is afraid of giving his heart.
Noelle Adams is sensitive in her books and this one she puts all the insecurites on Matthew. Skye is living her life and trying very hard to build a future for her with her friends and business. She has to prove all the time that she is not a child.
I like the book because it shows strong female characters and a lovely love story.
Love it!
This is book three in The Second Chance Flower Shop Series and it is Skye and Matthews story. Skye is the youngest in the family and everyone treated her like a child but hopefully not for much longer. Skye has been in love with Matthew her brother’s best friend for years and he also treats her like a child as well but now she has a plan but will it work. Matthew realises that he has feelings for Skye but he is not very confident as she is treating him different and he doesn’t know what to do. Omg I love this book and series so much that I couldn’t put it down and read the whole book in one sitting as I had to keep reading to see what would happen next. Skye and Matthew were really sweet and there story was so emotional and a real page turner. Noelle Adams is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by Noelle and you will not be disappointed.
I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy of this book.
While I enjoy books that have wild and unique characters and storylines, there is much to be said for a romance that is just straight forward with no contrived actions or twists. The Reunion is the type of romance that every reader can see themselves living. It’s realistic in the plot, the drama, the smexy times and most importantly, in the development of the relationship between Matthew and Skye.
Ms. Adams creates her hero and heroine to be imperfectly perfect for each other. They fumble and fail as they tread into new territory and I couldn’t love them more because of it. Watching them struggle to understand what the other needs/wants drives the angst level up and I found myself turning pages faster and faster in order to find the perfect ending this author always gives me.
I loved both Matthew and Skye. Matthew was so very real to me as he battled against his own issues and the creation of a completely new relationship in his life that he was never expecting had me near tears several times. I loved having his point of view as it really added to the depth of the story and allowed me to witness a bit of possessiveness he held for Skye.
This was another amazing read and a superb addition to this series. I’ve loved each book and this one might actually be my favorite so far. It’s hard to say as they all have won my heart once by the time I reach the epilogue.
