Not all fairytales end in happily-ever-after…Sebastian “Wolf” Wood. Former soldier. Medic. Loveable, loyal…and lethal. He knows better than anyone that appearances can be deceiving and he has no problem exploiting his cover-model good looks to get what he wants, especially when it’s for the success of a mission. He’s done it before, he’ll do it again—until the one mission where the tables get … where the tables get turned by a storybook beauty whose bite is worse than her bark and who leaves him trying to figure out what’s real—and what’s an illusion.
Peyton Richards is getting a second chance at her big break—a chance most people would kill for. But her excitement at making a comeback is overshadowed by her irrational attraction to the man hired to watch over her—a man who looks like he’d be more at home on a California beach than as a bodyguard. A man who seems to relish butting heads and irritating her at every turn while stealing kisses that leave her breathless. A man who’s entirely too comfortable in a glittering world where everyone is pretending to be someone else.
When a publicity stunt goes terribly wrong and it becomes obvious that someone wants Peyton out of the picture—permanently—it’s up to Sebastian to keep her safe. To do that, he needs to breach her defenses and show her that it’s what you can’t see that’s real—and if he fails, it’s only a matter of time before the game of fantasy and make-believe lures them into a nightmarish hell of lies, deceit…and death.

What an absolutely amazing book with captivating characters and a well crafted story that sucked me in from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down. I loved the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Sebastian “Wolf” Wood and actress Peyton Richards. Ms. Kamps has given us another winner in her must-read Cover Six Security Series and I can hardly wait for book six. If you enjoy well written romantic suspense don’t miss this can’t-put-down book. I received an advance reader copy of “The Rescuer:Wolf” and am voluntarily leaving my review. I liked it so much, I purchased a copy for my keeper library.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns. Sebastian and Peyton story was hot and steamy with emotions that makes you want more.

This was a good read. I just didn’t much care for Peyton. There was just something about her that I didn’t like.
Wolf babysits the Princess……………….not so much a fairytale
Sebastian Wood, aka Wolf, is my favorite of the Cover Six Security men so far. He is gorgeous, sexy, romantic and a complete Bad Ass when he needs to be. He is not a happy man when he gets his next assignment as it is a babysitting job for a Princess named Peyton. But it is his assignment and he will just have to “suck it up buttercup” and take this cushy job. Peyton is twenty-three years old, is an actual Princess and has had to take a staring role in a historical movie to earn money. First impressions are something that are funny and Wolf’s first impression of Peyton are – spoiled, rich, witch, rude, diva, etc. Peyton is non too happy about having Wolf assigned to her especially since it is her aunt that hired him. Let’s just say her aunt is not a straight arrow and seems to be out for her own interests only. But Wolf will not be deterred nor fired and is stuck to Peyton whether she likes it or not.
As Wolf and Peyton spend more time together and see through the facades they each present they find that there is a whole lot more under there than either expected to find. They end up each liking the others true self and then things get more interesting. It seems that Peyton is in actual danger and all of her little incidents on the movie set may be much more. Will Wolf be able to keep her protected and safe?
This is a wonderful story that has a lot going on. There is mystery, action, intrigue, betrayal, laughter, romance and a lot of chemistry between the characters. The story-line is solid and well thought out and the characters are nicely developed with depth and many facets. This was a great story to read that I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. A definite recommend read to other readers.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This book is steamy and amazing and will push your boundaries and leave you breathless!
I loved everything about it – the characters, the plot, the emotion, the writing, and the ability that the author had to tell me a story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.
I received a copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
This fifth addition to Lisa B Kamps’ newest series has a mixture of suspense, intrigue, passion and humour. As always when it comes to a book by this author, I found myself hooked and unable to stop reading. I really enjoyed getting to know Sebastian ‘Wolf’ Wood better and meeting actress Peyton Richards – just when I think my favourite couple has come along, Lisa B Kamps always gives me another one lol! We also get to catch up with old friends we’ve already spent time with, and I’m excited to see who gets a book next. Whilst this story could be read as a standalone, I really recommend you start from the beginning and lose yourself in this addictive series.

Everyone needs this type of rescuer!
The Rescuer: WOLF is the fifth book in Lisa B Kamps’ Cover Six Security series and it is an excellent continuation to this series. In this book, the storyline centres around Sebastian “Wolf” Wood, who knows appearances can be deceiving and uses everything at his disposal to ensure a successful mission, and Peyton Richards is doing everything she can to ensure that her second chance at her big break doesn’t slip away until someone else has other plans. The chemistry between these two characters sizzles and the more time they spend together, the more depth and layers they uncover about each other. As with the other books in the series, this book is jammed packed with all the suspense, danger and action that you would expect from this author and sprinkled with moments of smouldering, sexiness that will have you riveted to the last page. This is another page turner that you will not be able to put down. I would recommend this book and cannot wait for the next one in the series!
I love reading about the Cover Six Security guys! Reading about Wolf was really interesting especially how he deals with his new mission!
Possible SPOILERS
Sebastian “Wolf” Wood has a new assignment and he is not amused because it’s a glorified babysitting job….well not really..its a personal security gig for a twenty-three year old actress.
Peyton Richards is not impressed with anything right now. She was starting to enjoy retirement however due to money issues Peyton has to step back into the spotlight but nothing in this movie is going right.
A lot of unexplained incidents keep happening on set so Peyton’s Aunt/manager hires someone from Cover Six Security.
Wolf & “Princess” Peyton despite her attitude are getting closer…but when they get too close to each other Wolf decides that It’s better for Aiden aka Flare to step in for a bit.
Peyton is learning the hard way not to trust too easily because it has cost her….
I loved this well written book with great characters and a smoothly written storyline. The chemistry between the characters is strong from start to finish making for smooth flowing storyline. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Oh how fun it is to listen to these big bad alpha men interact with each other! Then there are the women who have tamed these bad boys, wonderful pairings!! But let there be no doubt, they have each other’s backs! When Wolf (Sebastain) gets the assignment to protect an actress and nobody is really sure what the threat is to her, there’s are words exchanged and a bad attitude from Wolf himself. The last thing he wants to do is play babysitter and he soon finds out the actress who he calls Princess (Peyton) isn’t exactly thrilled to have him around. That changes quickly, when it’s apparent there is a threat to her. Wolf figures he’ll be alone, he’s not looking for any type of relationship and Peyton isn’t his type. But as her life is threatened he finds he cares more and more for her and as annoyed as she was to have him around, she comes to depend on him being there. Great story as we work through the twist of who really wants to harm Peyton. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This book was amazing from beginning to end. The chemistry was palpable between Wolf (Sebastian) and Peyton. The intrigue was there from the beginning as well because we had our suspicions of the culprit but were very surprised in the end. From the beginning Sebastian was suspicious of the attitude and way Peyton acted. He tried to get beyond the exterior to the real girl behind the mask. Sebastian had his own fair share of things that he kept to himself and didn’t show.
This book kept me hooked from beginning to end and I could barely put it down to sleep or work. This just showcases even more Lisa’s writing talent. I cannot wait to read more from Cover Six.
I was provided and ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is book 5 in the Cover Six Security series and it features Sebastian “Wolf” Wood and Peyton Richards. He’s assigned body guard duty to the diva actress because somebody is out to kill her. The one thing that stands out in this book is DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. Not all are as they seem. I failed to see the attraction between Sebastian and Peyton until it was front and center and let me just say that when he falls, he falls hard.
There was a totally unexpected plot twist that had you second-guessing what you thought was going on. The mystery and suspense were fantastic! As always, the characters of Cover Six Security were awesome. The romance was good but could’ve used more spice. Looking forward to the next book.
Princess Pain, among other things. That’s;s what Sebastian ‘Wolf’ calls his charge. He’s on a babysitting mission. How could he have been sent here?! He doesn’t believe in fairytales, anyway. Peyton, the Princess, is a piece of work, but she seems to be getting under his skin. The boys all have a part in this story, as they always do thankfully. You hear about the upcoming baby and the trials TR is dealing with having time off. Each time I read about story, I think this is my favorite, but this one just might be it. I got absorbed and didn’t even have it all figured out. There were a few wrenches thrown in that I didn’t expect and it was fabulous! The banter between these two is priceless.

Wolf is sent on a “babysitting”” job with Peyton who is playing a princess in a low-level B rated movie.
Peyton’s aunt Susan, hired Wolf’s company for protection for her niece from the accidents that have been occurring since the start of filming. Little does Peyton or Wolf know just who was friend or foe. They were reacting instead of attacking to everything that had been happening to Peyton. After an additional two attacks on Peyton, and then finally Susan’s murder.
The relationship between Wolf and Peyton explode, and the truth about the plot behind the attacks on Peyton comes out.
This is a bit of a slow burn story and HEA, which I highly recommend this book!

This is part of the Cover Six security series with “Wolf” and Peyton are thrown together when he is hired for her Bodyguard. Threats, danger and working to find the truth bring these two forward to a common ground. Enjoying this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Peyton finds herself back in the acting world not by choice but by necessity. She has attracted the attention of the wrong person so when the danger around her escalates Wolf is hired to keep her safe.
Wolf is a team member of Cover Six and believes that this assignment is well beneath his skill set. The last thing he wants to do is have to spend 24/7 with a spoiled actress.
As they spend time together they both realize that appearances can be deceiving but will they be able to find out who is behind the threats before they succeed with their plan?
I liked this book. The story was well written and the characters were well developed within the story. I liked the chemistry between characters. I loved the ending.

This is the fifth book in the Cover Six Security series. I have read the first book in this series and lost track of it but I do intend to go back to catch up. This book is about Sebastian, Wolf, he is given what he sees as a babysitting job of a celebrity movie star. A star with a stalker. Meet Peyton, she is a childhood star that retires from acting but is lured back into it because she is told all her money is tied up in investments. She is back in set for a movie and finds that she has herself a stalker. Her manager and aunt insist on a bodyguard. Sebastian and Peyton have an attraction to one another and find themselves stealing kisses here and there. But as their relationship.is heating up, the stalker is getting bolder. Who is the stalker and can they stop them before things get to far and someone ends up seriously hurt or even dead? A well written story with great characters and alot of twists and turns to keep you interested in figuring out who the stalker is and why? Enjoy!

This a wellwritten and fastpaced story that captivated me from the start. The storyline is entertaining and actionpacked. The characters are wonderful. Can not wait for the next book in this series.
I just loved Wolf and Peyton, both are stubborn and neither know if there is really a need to protect her from anything but that doesn’t stop Wolf from sticking to her like glue and the attraction building between them keeps hotting up. Slowly we see things are not as they seem and distrust of everyone builds and as you get to know Peyton more you just want Wolf to swoop in and take her away from it. I loved how there were plenty of laughs, frustrations, attraction along with mystery and suspense while we work out who is behind the “accidents on set”.
