Something evil has escaped into the world from the open Pit. Amelia is an inexperienced Gaia witch who has no control over her emerging powers and is almost killed when she grudgingly allows a stranger into her father’s library. She never realized her father was a Guardian and wasn’t told that Aegir was asked by her father to watch over her. Aegir saves her from the fire that Fefnir set in the library to kill Amelia. But after the stranger who wants her dead, she is not sure about trusting the other stranger, Aegir, who says he was there to save her and that he is injured. But she definitely needs help with how to use her powers, if only to protect herself. So she begins to trust Aegir. He, in the meantime, had been attacked by Pesta and weakened by poison, losing his immortality. If he and Amelia can try to work together, can they possibly survive against their enemies? What does the future hold for them – if they can survive?

Amelia is a quiet Gaia witch and meets Aegir, a dragon Shifter Guardian, when evil Fefnir burns her beloved house down and Aegir rescues her. There is plenty of drama and intrigue within this story, highly entertaining and quick to read.

Every once in awhile there is a book that makes you fall in love. This is that book. I loved it. It is a story that sticks with you and will not let go.
This is an exciting and suspense filled story with Amelia learning her powers as a Gaia witch and Aegir, a Guardian Dragon and friend of her father, whom he promised to protect her. The author brings tons of action, intrigue and romance, moves the story quickly and smoothly and delivers an entertaining story that I would recommend reading.

This was another good well-written book from Lola. After the death of her father, Amelia finds out that he was keeping secret from her and that she really is Gaia witch and that she has no control over her powers and that the people who killed her dad now want her dead. Aegir is a dragon shifter/Guardian and he has vowed to keep her safe. This was a super read I really enjoyed it and would recommend it
Amelia’s day is about to go from bad to worse. First her father dies and then she finds out he’s been keeping all kinds of secrets that now leave her confused about herself. Aegir is a dragon shifter with extraordinary powers. He’s also a Guardian Dragon who has promised to look out for her. True to form, Lola Gabriel has filled this book with all the emotional turmoil, the angst, the fear, and distrust. Then, of course, she’s added the trust, the emotional connection, and then the physical attraction. This was another great book that I was given a copy of and am now giving my voluntary and honest review.
Amelia’s day is about to go from bad to worse. She is a Gaia witch without control over her powers. One stranger wants her dead. The other wants to save her. Or does he? Amelia isn’t sure if she can trust Aegir. He is ruthless and angry. When she starts to see beneath his hard exterior, she takes a chance and puts her faith in him. Aegir doesn’t quite understand his feelings for Amelia. She intrigues him and he knows he feels better being around her. If these two can work together, they just might be able to defeat the evil that threatens life as they know it. Will they also find their HEA? You know how to find out. Great read that his full of action and a touch of romance.

The Resue by Lola Gabriel is an exciting novel with some suspenseful twists. Ms. Gabriel delivers well-written stories with wonderful characters that grab your attention quickly.
Amelia lived a sheltered life never knowing her father was a Guardian while he was alive. Now she’s in danger and needs to developed the powers that she never needed until now.
Aegir is the last of the Guardian Dragons, but he’s injured and Fefnir a powerful enemy has escaped his prison. Aegir promised Amelia’s father to watch over her. Now at his weakest point ever, he’ll need all his strength to protect Amelia from Fefnir.
It was never made clear if the sacred objects were ever found or if Pesta destroyed them? Also this story could have had a little more “body”in a few places, but still earns 4 stars for being a good, enjoyable and entertaining story.

With so much happening, this book inspires your imagination from the first page. The characters are awesome, the female lead providing descriptive names that provide an image in you mind – fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the interplay, the setting and the action. Although a romance book, this story is more magical adventure than love story.
Easily a four star rating.

Aegir is injured but carrying on as Guardian. Amelia has been sheltered by her father, but now that he is gone and their home burned, she finds herself in Aegir’s care. She must learn the secrets kept from her and exercise her powers to help save each other and the world. I recommend this entire series by Lola Gabriel.

Lola Gabriel has written a 5=star book that is about putting your trust into someone you just met in order to stay alive.
Aegir is in the fight for his life when he was hit with a touch of death by Pestra. All he wants to do is make it home and get some sleep to heal. All he can think about is Amelia, who he is supposed to watch over.
Amelia is working on a project when a car pulls up her driveway and a man gets out. The man tells her that he is a friend of her father and that he needs to have a look at his books in his study. This man gives Amelia a bad feeling, but she lets him in. Amelia wakes up to a burning house. Aegir arrives just in time to save Amelia and he takes her back to his home. He told her things that she had a hard time understanding or believing. She does something that Aegir thinks she should not have been able to do. Things take a turn for the worse when the enemy comes for them.
After everything that Aegir tells Amelia, can she trust him to keep her safe?
Can Aegir gain Amelia’s trust, can they work together and eliminate the evil coming for them?
This book is an interesting read and I would recommend it to anyone.
