Words that come to mind when trying to describe this book are, “thought provoking.” I think the characters are well developed and very believable. I liked this book because it was so different from what I usually read and it wasn’t predictable for me.
This is one of the most beautifully written books ever. The point of view is flawless. If you’ve seen the movie try to forget it. The movie has nothing to do with the book.
The author grew up in Japan, then lived in England. … This is the book that they made that great movie of (Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson). This may be my very favorite book of all time. As people so often say, the book was even better than the movie.
Sorry , I haven’t read this book, but I have seen the Motion Picture . It was fantastic.
