Did I mention I was almost naked in the photos that were splashed around the country?
Now we need to play the game of politics by getting married to get the press off our backs.
You also don’t say no to the President when he asks you to protect his daughter.

Typically what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but not in Carter and Ashley’s case and when it’s brought to light they both need to try to save face immediately considering the political arena they are both in and what happens next was both great to read and enough to certainly have me read more from this author!!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book
I love a good romance and this one was awesome. I love Carter and Ashley their story gripped me from the start. I am not one for political romance I so try to stay away from anything political but I truly enjoyed this. I was able to read this in one sitting, it was that good. The story grabbed me and I didn’t want to put it down. This was my first book by Helen Wilder and I will go look for more, it was well written, very relatable, and just that damn good.
An arranged romance/political romance? I am SO in. And I absolutely loved Carter and Ashley’s story from their slightly unfortunate meet-cute to the very end they had me swooning over how hard I was rooting for them. I loved their banter, their flirting, their sexual tension even their fights- all of it was perfect for the arranged marriage trope. This is the second work of Wilder’s and I’m starting to see that she loves the twist at the end that will make you “OMG” and this one I definitely didn’t see coming! Five stars!
Ashley and Carter pull you in right from the start. The twist a s turns and the emotions with each page and word you read you will fall for these two and all the drama that comes with on little mistake. Amazing read that will give all the feels and keeps you wanting more.
What started off as a compromising position becomes more in this fake marriage romance read. Carter and Ashley chemistry slowly builds as they are finding their way around each other, but forces around them are making it difficult. Just the right amount drama and heat level that made for an enjoyable read. This was my first read by the author but it won’t be the last.
Arranged marriage books are kinda my thing. I love them. I gobble them up whenever I come across one. Add in the political element and I’m sold!
Carter and Ashley meet unexpectedly in Vegas, after a drunken hotel room mix up leads to compromising photographs of them being splashed all over the tabloids.
Carter, a young senator from the south, and Ashley, the president’s daughter, quickly tire of the rumor mill swirling around their alleged hookup, and with some not so gentle nudging from the president, come up with a plan to shift public perspective in their favor.
Wilder takes you an unforgettable ride with these characters, delivering plenty of twist and turns to keep you flipping those pages.
The Reluctant Bride reaffirms the saying, love has a way of finding you, even when you least expect it.
When Carter and Ashley are caught out by compromising photo’s after a drunken night in Vegas, it is revealed that she is the presidents’ daughter, and he is a young congressman, therefore, their only solution to save face is an arranged marriage. This is a well written story with witty banter and unexpected twists, and love. I was hooked throughout and recommend for all.
I Absolutely loved this book, I read it in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down and told everyone to go away haha.
When all you can do is something you never dreamed of but have to do it anyway you have to roll with it..or do you
Love, lust and angst are among the things that come to mind when I think of this book.
It was Absolutely amazing, my first from this author, it definitely wont be my last.
