I hope Jenn continues writing more books about Jamie!
Excellent mystery and story. I loved every minute of this book.
This is a story about a local animal hoarder, her missing son, and a condemned home filled with secrets in mid-coast Maine. Jamie Flint and her K-9 team search for the cognitively challenged son of the local animal hoarder. Recently licensed private investigator Jack Juarez looks into a murder related to the case. Each new clue Jack finds seems to lead him back to Jamie’s son, the suspect police already have in their sights. Meanwhile, Jamie fights to save a critically ill pit bull pulled from the hoarder’s home. – It took me a while to get into the book. Once I did, it was interesting. The condition of the hoarder’s home and the animals there was sad. The book would have been better if I had read the other books in the series fist. Overall, however, I enjoyed the characters and mysteries.

The Redemption Game, book 3 of the Flint K-9 Search and Rescue series is the best of the series thus far, in my opinion. Jen Blood has out done herself with the subplots within the main plot causing twist and turns that keeps you wondering who done it right up to the final moment in the book. All our favorite characters are back as Jamie Flint copes with her son Bear growing up and her changing relationship with Jack Juarez. Jen Blood has added some new quirky characters animal lovers and residents of Rockland to the mix. Again, Jen’s masterful storytelling kept me up late at night and on the edge of my seat, unable to put the book down until I finished the last page. And then I was sorry I finished as I was not ready to leave Jamie Flint and her gang behind! I only hope this is not the end of Flint K-9 but whatever Jen Blood writes next I will be sure to read!
The story is set in Maine. Nancy is an animal hoarder and Jamie who owns a rescue shelter and a K-9 search and rescue team is set to remove the animals. when the large team show up, Nancy is dead and her son is missing. Jack Juarez, a local detective is on the hunt for the killer only to find there is much more than Nancy’s murder involved.
I know Maine and appreciated the picture of that part of the world. Characters were believable, the plot moved well and was never stilted.
I really enjoyed reading this book about K-9 search & rescue dogs – something I knew nothing about. And I totally appreciated that there was hardly any bad language or sexual situations – always a PLUS! However, Jen Blood didn’t follow that format with her other series (Erin Solomon) – I started reading that & was appalled at the horrible language/taking God’s name in vain. I will NOT read books like that!
This is the second book I’ve read by this author. She doesn’t disappoint. I totally enjoyed The Redemption Game.
This book is about a search and rescue operator called to an animal hoarding situation. The woman and her mentally challenged son are unwilling to give up their animals so they get the sheriff involved. The woman turns up dead and the son missing. The search and rescue operator and her son find bones in the woman’s basement as well as animals. Her son gets a private detective involved.
A different, but very interesting crime book. If you ike animals, you WILL like this book.
Good book for animal lovers.
Another wonderful book in this awesome series!
Truly enjoyed this book. A who done it!!
Highly entertaining dog rescue story with a murder mystery thrown in.
I loved this book!
I enjoyed the book – gave me an insight to people who hoard animals and their self justification. Interesting plot twists.
Enjoyed
great dog training info
Very good book. There are a couple of plots and subplots that all mix well together to solve the mysteries that are all related. Character development unfolds nicely during the plot. I will read more of here books for sure.
