Giving Cris a ticket for a one night stand with anyone she wanted saved their marriage. Or so Owen thought. But Bo was no random choice, and when Cris gave him her body, he gave her his heart.Neither Owen or Bo want to give her up. With two men that love her, and two men she loves, the time has now come to make the decision that will change all of their lives.Who will it be?
Wow I honestly didn’t think I was going to enjoy this series as much as I did. I’m not a fan of cheating in any relationship but how Aidèe writes this series is done with insight and honesty of how this could realistically happen in today’s world and shows us what everyone of us would experience in this situation.
I really had so many emotions that flew through me through me in this duet. I could hear the self doubt and indecision that Cris would have felt. Would she choose to stay with Owen where The Ticket ends or will she follow another path with Beau?
There definitely were some “Oh my” situations that left me pondering what would I be like in that case.
Aidèe shows all of the emotions so well that I really felt for everyone involved. From Cris, Owen and Beau, to the extended families. Even Dr. Ryker and her actions in helping both Cris and Owen handle their own emotions. I was really happy with the ending and how life turned around for all of them.
Felicia Palmer was wonderful and really helped me capture all of the characters. It was engaging as she took each character, both male and female, and made them distinct. A great duet that needs to be read/heard in order.
Don’t be shy of the topic, this is done in a believable and honest way and will leave you opening up to what realistically could and does happen. It shows us the indecision, the passion and the compassion of all involved and does so in a way that will leave an openness in your heart. Really well done!
I listened to the audiobook version with Felicia Palmer narrating.
Honestly, we could have considered book 1 a complete story.
I think the addition of The Red Dress gave us an alternative ending complete with HEA for all.
I enjoyed this ending and was glad *everyone* was happy in the end. 🙂
Epic Ending to The Affair Duet! Awesome Narration
The Red Dress
The Affair
By: Aidèe Jaimes
Narrated by: Felicia Palmer
Aidèe Jaimes continues her gripping and heartfelt story in this second book of her “The Affair” series. This story picks up after the first one ends, I recommend listening or reading “The Ticket” first and if you have not done so yet stop right here because there are spoilers for the first book ahead. The story picks up with Cris and Owen trying to work on their marriage, Cris is certain that it is the right thing to do and what she wants. But Owen is not feeling the love and or that she is completely with him, he recommended they see a therapist. Cris is not a fan of the therapist but I liked how she brought back to when they first met, which was great to hear. The two are trying to move past it all but it only took Cris one glimpse of Bo to have her running to him but she leaves telling him she made her decision she was staying with her husband, a decision he will not accept. My heart went out to all three of them, love is complicated and so is life and having to make decisions. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted and contains a lot of heart. I was happy with the way things turned out and how it came about, loved how Dr. Riker handled things. Aidèe Jaimes, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
And for the fantastic narration, Felicia Palmer is a talented narrator and versatile voice artist. She continues to bring these characters and their story to life. She does an awesome job portraying the characters, taking each role and making it her own, grasping their persona and playing the role with perfection, sounding believable and just as I picture them to sound. She sets the perfect tone for the story and captures all the characters emotions and projects them into her performance. Felicia Palmer is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen
What a fantastic conclusion!!
Words can’t express how beautifully written this story is. What to do when trying to save their marriage, while Cris is in love with another man. Their struggles, hopes and dreams fading away. Aidee Jaimes goes into detail all the love, torment, anguish that the characters are going thru. It’s an emotional rollercoaster ride. Can Cris and Owen continue as they once were? or does her new found love for Bo take over her life?
Felicia Palmer tells the story with perfection. She gives all the joy, love, anguish and emotions to all the characters.

The Red Dress by Aidèe Jaimes is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Felicia Palmer. This is the second book in The Affair series and wraps up Cris’s story.
All I can say is Wow!!! Aidèe did it again! This story is so emotional and raw that I had tears in my eyes throughout this book. She does an amazing job making you feel all the emotions that Cris, Owen, and Bo are experiencing.
I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series The Promise to get Jessica and Cole’s story.
Felicia did an amazing job on the narration! She brought the story to life beautifully. I cannot wait to listen to more of her work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book if you love Contemporary Romance, Women’s Fiction, or Romance in general.
This book had me guessing til the very end if she would make her marriage work or if she would end it and be with Bo. I don’t love ,love triangle but this book gives you an insight on how both parties learned two wrongs will never make a right.
