“He’s a fanatic. He’d wipe all of us out, given any excuse at all…”In the fourth and final chapter of the ALIEN APOCALYPSE series, Jet Tetsuo, famous “Samurai” of the Rings, finds herself a slave in the home of her mortal enemy, Trazen, and desperate to escape. At first that prospect seems impossible, even if she manages to find allies among Trazen’s other human slaves–but events swiftly … events swiftly unfold that show her nothing is what it seems, not even Trazen himself.
Jet discovers a version of the Green Zone she never dreamed existed…filled with human terrorists and potential allies, as well as a new fanatical breed of Nirreth who would prefer to see the human race in chains.
When the First Son of the Royals announces his intention to annihilate most of the human race, Jet must decide just how far she’s willing to go to stop him. With the lives of both races in the balance, she might have to trust the very people she swore she’d never trust…or risk losing everyone she’s ever cared about.

“The Rebellion” is the fourth and final installment in the “Alien Apocalypse” series by J.C. Andrijeski, a NA dystopian sci-fi/fantasy series set in a futuristic version of Earth at the brink of environmental breakdown and invaded by aliens (Nirreth), who prey on humans, using them for food and different kinds of entertainment, while intended on ‘nirrethforming’ Earth to their lizard-like needs.
Jet Tetsuo has evolved to become an admired fighting in the Rings, and gone from Nirreth slave to honorary Royal family member and consort, survived the fights in the Rings and the conspiracies in the Royal household, but the biggest threat is just ahead. The Royal First Born decides to eradicate the human race, or at least the majority of them, putting not only humanity’s but also Nirreth’s destiny in danger, because as dire as the situation might seen, Nirreth and humans coexist in uneasy balance. With the existence of both races in danger, Jet would have to make an uneasy and fateful decision.
“The Rebellion” is the perfect conclusion to the “Alien Apocalypse” series, and as all its predecessors, a well-crafted, action-rich, fast-paced, and easy-to-read story, written in Andrijeski’s unparalleled style, a blend of urban fantasy, erotic romance and dystopia that flows seamlessly through the pages, with an original world-building and interesting characters. There is twists and unexpected turns ahead, until Jet finally fulfills her fate by choosing her own path.

The Rebellion: Alien Apocalypse Part #4
There are such unexpected twists throughout this book. The emotional roller coaster is real & gut churning! The lies, losses & feelings of betrayal grow ever deeper. The newest First Son is out for genocide of the human race, unless he can use them for slaves or food of course! Their time is running out, especially Jet’s, as she’s set to face Bukka in a Ring Challenge that she’s pretty certain she’ll never survive!!
Wonderful world building & characters. It has such an intense, complex & intriguing storyline. I definitely recommend this series.

Jet Tetsuo finds herself as a slave in the home of her enemy Trazen and desperate to escape. At first, that seems to be an impossible dream even with allies in his other human slaves but evens then happen that show her that nothing is what it seems and Trazen is the biggest surprise as he is nothing like he appears. Jet then discovers that a different version of the Green Zone exists where human terrorists and therefore potential allies live. However, currently in ascendance is a fanatical faction of the Nirreth who would prefer to see humans in chains. When the current first son of the royals announces his intention to annihilate most of the human race, Jet needs to decide just how far she is prepared to go to stop him, even if she faces the stark choice of having to trust people she had previously swore she would never trust – because it is that or she risks losing everyone who is dear to her.
I loved this final chapter in the story of Jet and the Nirreth and I was thrilled at the way that it ended. There were plenty of twists and turns in this story as well as the need to adapt to her beliefs as to who to trust, but throughout it all, Jet was her same determined self. I enjoyed the way she had to work through the events that had happened as well as the emotions that she was feeling. I enjoyed the dramatic events that led to a change in leadership and the final decision that she makes. Contains a little sexual content at the end. I would love to know what happened next to them.
Ok, quite frankly I’m not a big fan of apocalypse themed stories, but I’ve read and very much enjoyed other books by JC Andrijeski so I figured it was worth trying her new series as it’s on KU so was low risk. I’m really glad I did as this was fantastically addictive wonderful stuff. Now available in a single bookset, The Complete Alien Apocalypse Series (Parts I-IV Plus Bonus Novella), and I’d highly recommend that as, please trust me, you’ll not be able to stop until reaching the end. This crazy mashup “Apocalyptic, Romantic, Science Fiction, Alien Invasion Adventure” somehow works perfectly. I loved the plot line in each darn book, all of which flowed into a great story line filled with a perfectly crafted cast of lead and supporting characters, and all tied up with a bow of superb writing. Really fantastic stuff and I very much highly recommend each book and (for anyone coming to this fir the first time) the boxset.
