“Shall we begin?”When spoken by my new husband, these three little words fill me with terror and anticipation. In private, King Henry rules my body like he rules his country—with unrelenting control and passion. Outside the bedroom, we’re strangers caught in a web of lies and decadence. Our marriage is a sham, a business arrangement devised to save … business arrangement devised to save my life and secure his crown. He doesn’t love me. He loves my body, controlling it, shaming it, worshipping it. I’m not ready, but I can’t wait to feel his hands on me. He shoves his bowtie into my mouth, binds my hands to the headboard, and whispers in my ear…

This is the conclusion of King Henry and Everly’s story. Henry is still in control of everything. Everly is a kept woman but strong and defiant. The chemistry is off the charts with them. An excellent read and ending to this duet.

The Rebel Queen is a fitting end to this duet and was a wonderful read. I was sad at the end of this book, but in the best possible way. This duet left me wanting so much more, simply because I loved Henry and Everly so much. I think they are great characters that have an intense love that slowly builds as you read the book. The sex scenes are intense and incredibly hot too! It is rare for me to read a book and keep thinking about it days after putting it down. Here I am having read other books after this one and I am STILL thinking about Everly & Henry. I could easily see this being a duet that is in anyone’s rotation of book series to re-read again and again. I highly recommend reading it!
Henry And Everly’s Story Is Sexy With A Dash Of Danger! Read The 1st Book In The Duet Immediately Before Tackling This Book.
Note: The Rebel Queen Duet is tied to The Exiled Prince Trilogy, but it is not necessary to have read the trilogy in order to enjoy the duet.
Prince Heinrich Gustav Wilhelm Von Stratton, Crown Prince of Androvia, faces the loss of freedom of choice that goes hand in hand with being a royal. When he arrives home with his new bride, he will become the new King of Androvia, albeit a decade or more sooner than he had anticipated, and he will inherit the vast responsibilities that accompany the crown of his war-torn homeland on the edge of Europe. He feels the weight of that responsibility and the personal loss that is expected of him. Country first, then his people. Only the remaining shreds of his time are available for personal pursuits and relationships. Though required to marry and produce an heir, there is no room for love or an emotional entanglement. He had hoped to find it before being crowned, but duty called too soon and it was not to be.
Henry saw how it worked with his parents. Their marriage was one of convenience, arranged and approved in advance. Once he was born, the marriage served little use for either parent. Henry had only ever seen his father a handfull of times since age eight. Now he is destined to be in a loveless marriage as well. It is expected that he would have wed the repulsive Lady Catherine Clayton, his former fiance and approved consort. However, he has recently become acquainted with Everly McElroy, a woman that consumes his thoughts like no other. The discovery of her mother’s familial ties to the Queen of England suddenly gives him hope of another choice. With Everly as his bride, the arrangement will be based on affection and respect. He could be happy with her.
Everly McElroy, daughter of former Vice President McElroy, doesn’t trust men. They have all let her down. Her ex-husband impregnated his secretary, he father had an affair and murdered his mistress, and she was humiliated in the tabloids by her ex-boyfriend. Prince Henry’s offer of safety and protection from her father, who put a hit on her, couldn’t be refused. Her life was in danger and she had nobody else to turn to.
It takes a leap of faith to put her trust in a man she barely knows. Yet there is something real between them, something that calls to her on a deeper level. And now she is officially Princess Everly, Duchess of Geneva. But her new husband vacilates between affectionate and cold, and leaves her to fend for herself in a castle full of people best described as sharks. She understood their marriage was a business arrangement, not based on love, but hadn’t anticipated feeling so alone. And just when things seem to go so smoothly, and genuine affection leads her to believe that love might find them yet, he turns cold and disappears. Naturally an impatient woman, Everly’s composure is put to the test.
Henry and Everly’s story is sexy with a dash of danger. Their chemistry is smoking. No matter what is happening, these two gravitate toward one another. The challenge of conquering her defiance drives Henry’s obsession with Everly. What begins as an immediate animal-like lust for one another eventually does morph into love. While Henry is excellent at expressing himself physically, his verbal communication skills are greatly lacking when it comes to women. He never intends to allow love into his marriage, preferring to keep it simple and without entanglements. When he begins to sense the depth of his feelings, he seems to prefer hiding from the truth until reality forces him to face it. Henry and Everly earn a sweet and well-deserved HEA!
Henry and Everly’s story is about two people that have given up on the idea of love and agree to a mutually beneficial marriage, based on respect and affection, that will function similar to a business arrangement. Void of emotional entanglements, it seems like the perfect solution until love finds them. This book is well-written. The POV alternates between Henry and Everly. The plot is well-developed. Pay attention, otherwise it may become confusing. It helps to have read the first book in the duet immediately before tackling this book. The characters are well-defined. Henry and Everly are both quite loveable. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

Paying the price
—>>> Review Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars – Thrust into Henry’s world leaves Everly reeling with new experiences, introductions to snakes at the palace, and intimacy with Henry at night which does not translate to anything more in the light of day. Oh, and rules, rules rules as Henry’s consort. She sells her soul because she had no other choice, but her feisty spirit remains intact, as does her need to help those she encounters who are in trouble and not thriving as well as they should be. There is much to do for Henry, because as his respect and admiration for his wife grows exponentially as she integrates herself into her new role, so does the danger and the need to keep her protected does. Everly finally finds her prince, a man who was now ready to give her everything, more than he could have hoped for. I enjoyed the story of their journey towards their HEA and the epilogues as well.
Everly has jumped into te free make.no mistake, Henry has the ideal solution but it comes with more restraints then they have in the Devils Playground. Has been a dark pleasure trip, waiting for more.

Steamy, and Intense.
This is the the second book in The Rebel Queen Duet, and the conclusion to Henry, and Everly’s story. Having both entered marriage, as a business arrangement, Henry, and Everly try to manage the duties of King, and Queen. This is a great read, the characters are well written, and have amazing chemistry. This book is hot, steamy, emotional, passionate, intense, twisted, dramatic, and entertaining.

I thought The rebel queen was really good it is the second book in the series and can’t be read as a standalone you need to read this after reading book one . I liked the couple they were perfect together and they really did it for me .
The Rebel Queen is the second book in the Rebel Queen Duet and picks up where book one The Royal Arrangement left off. King Henry and Everly are stuck in a loveless marriage where he needed a wife and she needed a new life but in the bedroom there’s some steamy “teachings” going on. This is a well written, page turning sexy read that held me captive from the first page of the first book till the last page of The Rebel Queen.
Our introduction to Everly and Henry in this book fast pace book was good. The back and forth that Everly was experiencing about her feelings for Henry was my favorite. Her strength grew throughout the book. She truly was a queen. Henry also came into his own as he took charge as King. This was definitely a fabulous read.

Will Everly be the Queen that Henry and Androvia need
I love the continuing story of Everly and Henry from their civil wedding ceremony in Connecticut and their arrival in Androvia where Henry is to be King with his father’s death. But upon their arrival, Henry’s demeanor changes and Everly is at a lost to find herself as a royal member. Henry has much to fix from his father’s rule over Androvia, along with keeping Everly safe from her father’s grasp. Will Henry continue to smother Everly’s natural talents, or will he realize the treasure she is? I couldn’t put this book down with the tension between Everly and Henry wondering how it will all end!
Fantastic story part 2.
OMG! This book was more than i was expecting & I loved it. Henry is using Everly just to get back at her dad at times being horrible to her. He’s punishing her only wanting her for sex reminding her she has no choice but to do as he wishes as her dad still wants to kill her leaving her nowhere to go keeping her locked in her room. Not only does she have to put up with a hateful mother-in-law but his ex-fiancee determined to get rid of her, however, Everly refuses to give into the problems they are trying to cause between her & Henry. She knows she is beholden to Henry & although she hates him for how is treating punishing her she always gives him as much grief back which at times. The chemistry between them is as hot as hell & they both start to have feeling which contradict the business arrangement marriage. Although Henry is ruthless & heartless at times I was desperate for him to come to his senses & give into feeling love for Everly hoping for a happy ending.
This is definitely a set of books to read as it’s an amazing story that has you hooked.

I read this story without having read the first book and was able to figure out the pieces I was missing. The books opens with Everly and Henry getting married and returning to his country where he must ascend the throne on the death of his father. There is definite chemistry between these two who have agreed to this action for very different reasons. Everly is trying to survive the death threats her father is making because she revealed his corrupt actions. Henry needs a wife to ascend the throne and wants that to be Everly because he wants to master her feisty personality. He wants to enjoy all the physical benefits but doesn’t plan to get emotionally vulnerable with Everly while knowing she will be an excellent mother for his children and queen for his country.
Henry has a lot to learn on being a good husband and a loving man and Everly is just the one to open his heart.

The Rebel.Queen is book two in The Rebel Queen Duet. This is not a standalone and you need to read book one, The Royal Announcement first. Everly’s battle continues in this book. Dispute everything, she wants to show Henry that this is marriage can be more than a business arrangement, she can be trusted. Can Henry trust Everly with the people of Androvia or more importantly, can he trust her with his heart? This was a great conclusion to Everly and Henry’s story. This book has great characters that challenge the story as it all unfolds. Enjoy!

This is an amazing story. It picks up where The Royal Arrangement ends with Everly and Henry getting married. Married life is not easy when adding a throne and family drama to it. Everly and Henry must learn to work together and fix the issues in his country.

This book is the second novel in the Rebel Queen duet written by Jeanna E. Mann. The beginning of this book starts out with the marriage ceremony between Prince Heinrich (Henry), who is to be crowned king with the assassination of his father, and Everly McElroy, the daughter of a previous US Vice President accused by her of murdering his mistress. This fake marriage secures Henry’s crown and protects Everly from her father’s vendetta on her life. This couple works together to improve the conditions in the country and save Henry’s kingship after his father’ dismal and corrupt reign.
Jeanna Mann has authored a well written book which has amazing characters, an outstanding story line with intrigue and steamy sexual chemistry, and a plot that makes this novel an addicted read which you can not put down. I strongly recommend this book, however, you will need to read the first novel of the duet (The Royal Arrangement) to understand the Rebel Queen. Excellent read!!

Everly thought that Heinrich was the answer to her prayers. He offered her a safe haven after she had to turn her father in and shed light on his dirty deeds but at what cost. Heinrich has only known one way. He always gets what he wants but can he get Everly?
This is the perfect ending this tale. I do have one critique though…what happened with Princess Marie? Did she ever except Everly? The characters were, as always, great and I love the tie in to the story of the Exiled Prince Trilogy. It answered a lot of questions that I had. I would love to read Nicky’s story next.

Oh,the chemistry was absolutely out of this world.
Looking at the title and perhaps even the cover you would think this was a historical but nope it as modern-day as you get. Everly is married to King Henry and it is all fake. Yet behind closed doors that is where the real story is and it is hot kids and really good. The book was filled with intrigue, excitement, and really intense heat written in such a sophisticated manner it will blow your mind. This was an excellent book and one worth having in your collection. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
4 1/2 Stars!
King Henry’s mother and Everly’s father made two of the worse parents ever. I’ve got to admit I anxiously awaited their punishment for their selfish, cruel, and evil ways. Kudos to the author for providing retribution to satisfy my bloodlust for justice. I especially enjoyed the way Henry finally put his mother and his devious ex fiancée in their places, allowing Everly to wield his power and control over them.
While there were many graphic scenes between this couple that incorporated BDSM, the scenes were not overdone and did not go on and on and on. The author had a good sense of timing and pacing with the intimate scenes they shared. Not really over the top, but it was very evident how Henry was unwillingly falling for Everly.
I also liked the way Nicky pulled through for both Henry and Everly.
A very satisfying read full of political intrigue, betrayal, and suspense. I enjoyed the tale this author wove and the way it was all pulled together at the end.

The Rebel Queen by Jeana E. Mann. I’ve have read other books by this author and although I found them good, this one was on a whole other level- I thought this story was intense and it captivated me from the start (in the Royal Arrangement). There is so much going on with this story and characters, but story flowed nicely and kept me engaged until the end.
