The Rebel of Raleigh High is the first book in the Raleigh Rebels Series. Please be advised, this book comes with a trigger warning. Intended for readers 17+ * SilverHit me. Kick me. Hurt me. Hate me. There’s nothing that the students of Raleigh High can do to Silver Parisi anymore. Over the past year, she’s had to endure more pain and suffering than most people are asked to bear in their … most people are asked to bear in their lifetimes. She’s a pariah, an outcast, a ghost. She’s also never been one to take shit lying down, though…despite what half the football team might say.
With only one hundred and sixty-eight days left of the school year, it won’t be long until graduation, and Silver’s planning on skipping town and leaving Raleigh firmly in her rearview mirror…
Until he comes along…
Alex
Orphan.
Degenerate.
Reprobate.
Deviant.
Alex Moretti’s earned most of his labels, and he’s not ashamed of a single one of them. He’ll earn far worse before he’s finished with his new found ‘friends’ at Raleigh High. Having spent years being ground down under the boot heel of society, it’s time for a little payback. And if exacting revenge upon the heads of the Raleigh elite means he can also help the beautiful girl who hovers in the shadows, then that’s all for the better.
Oil and water. Fire and ice. The differences between Silver and Alex are broader than any chasm. To reach one another, they must take a leap of faith and fall into the divide.
And falling?
Nothing good ever came from falling.

The male is too spiteful too enjoy, the heroine is too stupid too like. I did feel sorry for her about the rape but I hated her weakness.
I thought this book was very good! This was my first Callie Hart read and I will definitely be coming back for more. Totally did not see the end coming!
I been Admiring this Authors Covers for a while and I was finally won over, when reading a new to me author it’s always an adventure since styles always differ.
I will say my only issue was the characters would get a bit too poetic however in some instances it added to the characters state of being, I feel like this story was so realistic it held me as if I where by the heroine’s side as she survived all these events. This story made me cry and swoon at the bravery and honor of the Hero held in this book.
Another great book by Callie Hart! Silver was really strong and refused to break. Especially after the tragedy she went through. Alex is a badass and totally swoon worthy! Loved this book and can’t wait to see what is to come!
4.5 stars as is, would be +5 stars if proofread!!!!
“It was a boy with a clean record, a winning smile and a glorious halo who broke me. Ironically, it’s the boy with the rap sheet, a body full of ink and the dangerous glint in his eye who’s putting me back together.”
Bad boy Alessandro “Alex” Moretti is transferred to Raleigh High just in time to change Silver’s life for the better. From the very beginning, we know Silver has gone through something terrible and that the entire school has shunned her because of it, but what happens to her by the end of the book is completely unpredictable and had me on the edge of my seat! I absolutely fell in love with Alex, Silver and all of the characters! Not intensely dark, this is a gritty, edgy high school romance. Because of how well she wrote this book, Hart made me feel like I was behind the scenes, watching realistic, real life events that many teenagers go through. It’s truly a fantastic book! My only complaint is that it’s in desperate need of a proofread! There were typos on almost every single page!!!! Despite that, I cannot wait to find out what happens in the next book!
**Although there is not a huge cliffhanger, we are left with many questions in the end and won’t have full resolution until book #2 comes out, hopefully in June!!!
What an amazing read! Tough and sensitive subject matters are themes in this well written storyline. I adored Alex and Silver. Their strength will inspire you. Their chemistry is palpable. Hooked from the beginning until the end, you won’t be able to read fast enough. Can’t wait to read the continuation of their story.
Hot mother of darkness!!
Simply devilishly dirty and delicious!
Loved every word, and I was consumed by the story!
Explosive, gritty and intense. I loved the connection between Alex and Silver and their story had me hanging to every word! The extended prologue was the hot cherry on an already delicious cake.
Cannot wait to see what happens next!
4.5 stars!
Excellent!!!!
OMG! I loved this story of strength and resilience and finding true love ! This is my first book I’ve read by Callie Hart and it won’t be my last ! I can’t believe I have not picked up one of her books sooner! Alex and Silvers story has left me speechless and all I can say is go out and grab your copy now! This is a beautiful well written story of heartbreak and tragedy but also how resilient and strong a person can be . I can’t wait for the next book!! I definitely recommend this book ! Well done Callie Hart !
This is my favourite Callie Hart book to date.
It’s absolutely brutal in parts – definitely not for the faint of heart – but it’s also an extraordinarily beautiful love story. There are definite triggers in this one but I will say if you can handle them then you should read it. Stories like this NEED to be told.
Silver is a fierce character. She survived every girls worst nightmare & still holds her head up against the worst her school mates can dish out. I adored her!
Alex, well he is the epitome of Bad Boy – but that is definitely not all there is to him. He’s kind, smart and fiercely loyal. Not to mention HOT AF!!
Add in a great group of supporting characters and I found myself devouring this book in one session. Definitely recommend if you like your NA to come with a side of dark.
When Callie hart releases a new book it is guaranteed to be a page turner this book doesn’t fail to disappoint
I was not expecting such dark dramatic subject matter. A lot of times I grab a book from Kindle Unlimited based upon the cover. That would be what happened with this book. I didn’t even read the blurb to see what the book was about. I like to be surprised some times. This was a good surprise!
However if you’re triggered by some subject matter it might be good to know that this book has content involving rape and school violence.
Silver was counting down the days left of her high school time. She was done. Done with all of it. Alex was 1 more incident from going to jail, forced to start over in a new school. They’re 2 very different people. Opposites attract though, right? Maybe they’re just what the other needs?
I absolutely loved the protective nature of Alex. I loved how much he wanted to make things better for Silver. There is so much depth to both of these characters and I enjoyed reading about them finding their way to each other. Their back stories were very well developed and wonderfully written.
It appears there is another book in the series coming, I’m curious to see which characters that book revolves around.
Highschool memories would never be the same. The Raleigh High were once the school with the dream. Silver Parisi and Alessandro Moretti were the heavy characters with anger and hatred. This story was a haunting experience and the reality of school bulliers.
I was drawn into Silver stubborness throughout the book. She had binded me with the emotions from the darkside of highschool drama. It was hurting, intense and shocking. Allesandro, you had owned a piece of my heart.
A dark cloud hangs over his head as Raleigh High essentially becomes a get out of jail free card.
Hes dangerous, hes an unknown entity and so thus all eyes are on him.
Shes fallen from a great social height to now be the social pariah.
Her truth becomes their lies, hate and fear so now shes their victim.
THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING!! yes it deserves the shouty capitals, yes I mean every word of that and just omg yes!!
My heart is racing, whilst my mind is full of vindictive rage. I want to scream, I want to shout and I feel the need to go all hulk on something, and why because she was an innocent.
Silver is a one in a million kind of character. She reminds me of a phoenix. Through devastation she will rise again and in my mind that is exactly what she does.
Alex, is strong and silent. He has the bad boy image down, but hes more than his tattoos and his motorcycle hes the guy you want beside you when the poop hits the fan.
Theres so much I want to say about this book but cant or it wont be spoiler free.
Just know that this is NOT your average young adult, high school drama read. Oh my gosh no it’s so far from that its untrue!
This book is in a league of its own, and what puts it there well everything!!!
The characters, the fantastic storyline and way a sensitive issue was dealt with, and the realism.
Heartbroken that I’ve reached the end. I need more!! I want more!! I’m willing to beg!!
I just know that I’m not going to be happy with one read through of this, its THAT kind of book!
Different from anything she’s ever written before, Callie Hart astounded me with this dark, young adult narrative. It ensnared my attention. Enthralled me. Shredded me to bits. I’m still in tatters—my heart exhausted and emotions wrenched from the hard subject matter weaved through the chapters. For the endless heartache that afflicts the characters. It is depicted in brutally honest terms, with grit and angst intense and unrestrained in deliverance your senses will be chaotic from overload.
“I’m not going to force you to fall for me, Silver. You’ve already been forced to do too much. But don’t blame me if I try and change your mind.”
The Rebel of Raleigh High isn’t an easy read—the raw, vicious nature and malicious intentions of some characters, though kind of cliche, is reminiscent of real life situations and runs deeper, more depraved than expected. Silver Parisi’s ferocious resilience and headstrong determination, despite her harrowing experiences with callous rumours and sexual assault followed by continuous mistreatment is an admirable testament to this heroine’s steadfast courage.
“I also happen to think that you’re the most beautiful fucking thing I have ever witnessed with my own two eyes. I am watching you just as much as you’re watching me… and I don’t trust myself to look away.”
But the genuine beauty of this romance is witnessing the transformation of Alex and Silver. Within a school full of innumerous assholes, the insensitivity becomes somewhat overwhelming. Somehow amongst the adversity, Alex and Silver bare their souls, forging an unwavering connection of truth, honest affection and fierce strength that can’t be rattled or dismantled. Rebellious and flawed, these authentic characters find solace together—a beautiful reminder that there’s brightness within darkness. Someone will eventually believe your truth when everyone else won’t.
If you want a read that features a heroine with unbelievable perseverance; a fierce, protective hero with a hidden caring side; romance that will shred your heart, succumb your emotions to erratic chaos and make you feel everything for the characters, I recommend The Rebel of Raleigh High. It is intense, though somewhat long in certain sections, is still beautifully written and all-consuming.
This book absolutely blew me away. I found it thought provoking, poignant, and beautifully crafted. It definitely deals with some difficult subject matter and I think Callie Hart handles it gently, honestly, and respectfully. I thought it was incredibly refreshing to have a Hero that was damaged and troubled but didn’t have it in his twisted head to ever do damage to Silver. I wish there were more characters like Alex out there but then again that might have made him lose some of his shine which he deserves all of. This is not your ordinary young adult high school bully book. This was my introduction to Callie Hart and I can not wait to see where the next book takes us.
I like that this book isn’t totally focused on the bullying but how one person suffers, deals and tries to move on and face the day to day life with their head held up high. I also appreciate that this book imparts an unforgettable lesson in the end.
“A wolf and a rose—savage and wild, beautiful and tender.”
When I started this book I was in a little bit of a book funk so it took me a while to get into the story but once I did, I didn’t want to put it down. Alex…swoon…he is everything I love. Dark, protective, tattooed, loyal and troubled. Silver is broken but so very strong. She has been through something horrific. She as been casted aside and bullied but no matter what was thrown her way she kept her head held high and never gave up. One part of this book to me completely by surprise. It was not even on my radar. There are some sensitive subjects within this book but I believe it was extremely well written. I’m so happy their story isn’t over. They have so much more to say!!
“This is the part when I realize you’ve stolen my fucking soul and I have no chance of ever getting it back.”
When I decided to read this book it was on a lot of recommendations and I was so glad I did. It covers some truly harrowing subjects which could be a trigger for many but the way the author represented them was truly amazing. I loved Alex as he pulled no punches with the way he treated silver. Broken but still stand she over came the worse moments in her life with his help and this story help shine a stop light on the cruel and unforgiving nature of peer pressure and school social systems. A truly wonderful although dark read.
“When Alex Moretti looks at you, you feel your soul laid bare, and its the most disturbing, thrilling thing I’ve ever experienced.”
I enjoyed this book immensely!! The steamy, dark undertones, two characters against all odds, a seemingly unlikely pair, I absolutely lost myself in this one. I was left with questions at the end, some loose ends, but all in all, I couldn’t put this one down!!!

5 stars for The Rebel of Raleigh High by Callie Hart. This is book one of The Raleigh Rebels series. I have become a big fan of high school romances. Callie Hart does not disappoint with this book. Callie has a way of reaching into your heart with her writing. She has a way of bringing books with touchie subject to the forefront of our minds. It has taken me a little while to write the review for this book because of all the emotions I had after reading it.
Silver is a strong girl. She has gone through some shit that no one should ever have to go through. Then she has to face more abuse everyday all alone. She is one of the strongest heroine’s I have read in a while. She is one of my favorite females I have read of Hart’s. Alex is a bad boy who is trying to do right by his brother. I grew to love Alex pretty quickly. I loved how he was there for Sliver even though he wasn’t sure if he wanted to be at first.
I will warn you there is a part towards the end that I did not see coming. It was a kick in the face. It will deliver so many feels that you won’t know what to do with yourself. Also there might be some triggers for some , but I am telling you it is worth the read. I would recommend this book to anyone.
