The Rebel of Raleigh High is the first book in the Raleigh Rebels Series. Please be advised, this book comes with a trigger warning. Intended for readers 17+ * SilverHit me. Kick me. Hurt me. Hate me. There’s nothing that the students of Raleigh High can do to Silver Parisi anymore. Over the past year, she’s had to endure more pain and suffering than most people are asked to bear in their … most people are asked to bear in their lifetimes. She’s a pariah, an outcast, a ghost. She’s also never been one to take shit lying down, though…despite what half the football team might say.
With only one hundred and sixty-eight days left of the school year, it won’t be long until graduation, and Silver’s planning on skipping town and leaving Raleigh firmly in her rearview mirror…
Until he comes along…
Alex
Orphan.
Degenerate.
Reprobate.
Deviant.
Alex Moretti’s earned most of his labels, and he’s not ashamed of a single one of them. He’ll earn far worse before he’s finished with his new found ‘friends’ at Raleigh High. Having spent years being ground down under the boot heel of society, it’s time for a little payback. And if exacting revenge upon the heads of the Raleigh elite means he can also help the beautiful girl who hovers in the shadows, then that’s all for the better.
Oil and water. Fire and ice. The differences between Silver and Alex are broader than any chasm. To reach one another, they must take a leap of faith and fall into the divide.
And falling?
Nothing good ever came from falling.

I really liked this book though most of it was not all that original, I have read stories before where the girl used to be in with the popular crowd and something happened between her and her besties or a traumatic event happened to make her a loner that was just waiting for her senior year to end so she could hightail it out of dodge. Then the bad boy comes to town and picks her instead of all the popular girls vying for his attention.
This book has all that, though I could read that formula over and over if the author does it well. The bad boy has to be smokin hot, which Alex definitely is. He is full of tats despite his young age, he looks like he is 21, works in a strip club, lives on his own, has a killer body and rides a Motorcycle. He had to switch schools because after digging up the grave of the jerk foster dad who beat him, he was caught pissing on the dead body.
Silver is a loner at her school and a pariah and catches his attention right away. Like I said, this story has more twists and turns than the standard bad boy story with jealousy and possessive behavior. There is much more action and drama. It held my attention throughout and surprised me with some unexpected events.
Goodness soooo much drama and heartbreak and drama and hotness and drama and angst and OHHH did I mention Drama? Lol
Can’t wait for more of these 2!! Dang this cover is what sucked me in
This one’s not for the faint of heart. It’s dark high school romance and deals with some very heavy, sometimes triggering shit. But the difficult topics are handled with the thought and care they deserve and this is one of the best “bad boy trying to do good for his girl” characters I’ve ever read!
LOVED and can’t wait for the next book!
The Tattooed Biker Bad Boy and his last chance places him in Raleigh High.
A school of the entitled rich, where they will either embrace you or break you.
Silver, A Raleigh High Victim, now a pariah, but she still holds her head high despite the what they say.
Their attraction is mutual, their issues and lives poles apart, but they both share the same aim, to graduate and get the hell out of dodge!!!
OMG THIS BOOK HAS TO BE READ !! IT IS THAT FREAKING GOOD!! OMG OMG!!
Yes it deserves more than 5 stars!!! I can’t even begin to tell you, no spoilers here…..
This book had me emotionally wrought, baying for vengence and justice.
Why just why do the innocents always suffer the most??
Silver, had such heart and grace, yet i knew she would rise!!
Alex was just amazing, he is definitely the guy you want right beside you no matter the situation!!
This book is not your normal angsty high school romance, it’s raised the bar to so much more!!
Beautifully written, with a story line that will squeeze every single part of your heart, fantastic characters that you will never want to let go and a book you will want to re visit again and again, because your heart just wants more!!
Silver is the outcast of Raleigh High, hated and bullied by all the students. She’s determined to survive the last year of highschool and make her escape to a college far away. Alex is a new student and the iconic bad boy. He’s been through hell but he’s a fighter, and will allow no one to stop him from getting what he wants. When Alex and Silver meet, sparks fly and nothing will ever be the same again in Raleigh High! A fascinating and emotional book about two people who society has rejected, but they find the strength to fight back and claim their right to love and happiness! Silver is brave and I admired her character. She is resilient and independent and a perfect match for Alex. He is a young man who has survived on his own for so long, but Silver will give him hope for the future! I loved their story!
Not my favourite by this author but definitely a story that has you on edge with its dark and intensely heavy subject matter. It’s the story of Silver and Alex total opposites but both broken by the experiences life has thrown at them.
Silver was the victim of a horrific assault that has left her the school outcast. Once a reigning Queen now she exists on the fringes a ghost just counting the days till she can graduate and leave high school behind. Alex is a tatted up motorbike riding bad boy who’s on his last chance joining the school senior year he instantly notices Silver and feels drawn to her.
These two connect and fall hard with Alex now wanting to slay Silvers demons. This is the first book in a trilogy and it didn’t pull its punches. Though I did struggle to connect somewhat and I’m not sure why. I did like both Silver and Alex but I think maybe there was too much going on especially with the unexpected direction this then went.
I know the story is yet to conclude but I think I’m out I’m just not feeling it though this was well written. Be aware this story does have some dark triggers and it does go into detail here. Overall this was not quite what I was expecting but it definitely made for an intense experience.

Phew! This one got to me. Life has it’s up and downs, but it also has turbulent storms and droughts. These books have it all. Silver and Alex were PUT. THROUGH. IT! I was all over the place with my emotions, these characters were incredible.
I swear just about everything was covered in this series like, what DIDN’T happen? You are in for a WILD ride, don’t make assumptions because you’re not gonna guess what happens next. I was on my toes the ENTIRE time. I laughed I cried I screamed and cursed out the author. I didn’t know which way was up. Total masterpiece.
Honestly I feel like we need a follow up book for these two, like for real. I just need more. And while I am a Wren girl at heart I would love to see this series adapted onto screen, it would be incredible as a TV series. Maybe I’m just too demanding idk, I’m sure most would agree though!!
“ , , ’ .”
Blown away. Mesmerized. Thoroughly entranced. All of these can describe what’s happened to me since opening these pages. I feel absolutely raw after reading Alex & Silver’s story. The real life that happened between these pages hit me so hard and so deep.
I’m not going to tell you what it’s about, just that it surpassed my expectations by about a million, and touched me in such a way.
Alex and Silver consumed my entire world from the first word of this book until the very last. The chemistry between them was palpable from their first interaction and from there it was a snowball effect as the connection between them grew more intense on every page.
I loved that there was no cat and mouse game between Silver and Alex they were very open and honest with each other which was exactly what they both needed because that was the only easy bit in this book. The storyline was explosive with so many twists and turns that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I will be immediately starting Revenge at Raleigh High
Beware! This book does contain trigger warnings.
It’s a story about strength and resilience, which is exactly what the author was trying to portray. I was able to feel the pain and suffering that Silver was dealing with. You got to see the way an outcast was treated like in high school. I loved reading about Alex’s life and struggles as well. It just made the story that more relatable. Two struggling individuals coming together and giving each other strength to fight every day battles. I was taken by surprise by the turn of events, had my heart aching for the characters.
4.5 stars!
Oh Dear. I loved this book! It was just what I needed right now. Compelling main characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with! Silver’s strength and Alex’s bravery?! I loved how they just gravitated towards each other.
It’s okay to be broken. You have every right to be. Just don’t let them keep on breaking you. That’s not how you win this particular game.
The timeframe that this book takes place in is a little short and when I think about it, I’m like “huh, that was fast” but you know what? It works! I’m not a fan of instalove but this book does not feel anything like that. I’m not sure how, but Callie Hart put this story together beautifully and the relationship that’s built between Silver and Alex feels genuine. Their love was believable and hit me right in the feels.
I’m a risk. I’m a danger. I’m not a fucking safe bet by anyone’s standards. But I can be good for you if you let me.
Also, both the H & Hr go through some pretty traumatic shit. Events that are heavy and written in detail, but didn’t feel overwhelming. Truly Heartbreaking in those moments, but so sweet in others!
It was a boy with a clean record, a winning smile and a glorious halo who broke me. Ironically, it’s the boy with the rap sheet, a body full of ink and the dangerous glint in his eye who’s putting me back together.
Again: It hit me in the feels. I Loved it and I’m jumping into book 2 tonight!
Silver’s life hasn’t been easy… 9 months ago she was in the “in crowd” and now she is treated like an outcast by those she though were her friends. When bad boy Alessandro shows up at school, silver has no idea that life is about to change again!!
Wow…I’m not quite sure how to review this. First, the book is amazing, hands down. I don’t think I was prepared for the darkness of it, the tragedies and the fact that they are seventeen years old. But those aren’t reasons to dismiss this book, just be prepared. That being said, I devoured this book in less than a day, so despite how I feel about some of the content, the book was amazing. Silver and Alex, though from different paths in life, find drawn to each other and they help each other heal, breathe and get through life. My favorite is Silver’s Dad, her parents had her young, so he’s not your typical Dad and I think their relationship was just as important throughout the book as her and Alex’s. I can’t wait to continue on their journey in book 2.
There are things that I felt this book did well and there are things that I really didn’t care for at all. So this is going to be another one of those tough to review books because I liked it but I didn’t love it. Here we go.
What the author did well in this book was the character development. Both Silver and Alex get their own POVs in this book and I felt like the author did a wonderful job of letting the reader step into their shoes. They both had excellent backstory to really make the reader know them and their motivations. Both Silver and Alex are likable and relatable characters that you can’t help but root for.
Another thing that the author does well is surprise the reader. The plot of the book isn’t one that is a cookie cutter of other books. It is unpredictable. The author executes shocking twists and turns in the story. I honestly did not see some of the things in the story coming at all.
The one thing that drastically diminished my joy when reading this was the romance. It just did not do it for me. The romantic relationship between Silver and Alex was way too abrupt for my liking. It wasn’t necessarily instalove but it was pretty damn close. Silver and Alex have barely had a few interactions when they are suddenly professing their love and starting a relationship. It just irritated me to no end. If the author had allowed the characters to spend a little more time together to actually get to know each other before they started having sex and laying claim to one another then I would have been a happy camper. As it stands, the romance isn’t believable at all. It was a struggle to keep reading about their love when it was just so unrealistic.
Overall, this was a book that I generall liked but I didn’t love it by any stretch. For me, the book had both good and bad qualities. This is a book with some difficult topics but I felt that they were handled well by the author. I haven’t yet decided if I liked this book enough to read the second or third books in this series. I am definitely curious about what happens next but I think that the romance in this one really soured the series for me. I guess we’ll see.
My thoughts:
I must be honest: when I first read the synopsis of this book I said: “Meh, I’ve read so many books about the perfect, fragile girl falling head over heels in love with the bad guy, I think I’m gonna pass”. But the image on the cover was so hot and I decided to give it a try. BEST DECISION I’VE EVER MADE THIS YEAR!!! This series will definitely appear at the top of my 2019 Wrap-up because I love it so freaking much.
Silver Moretti used to be popular at Raleigh High, but after confessing being raped at a party, she becomes an outcast. How can the whole school believe that the football team was capable of such an atrocity? They can’t. The football team is untouchable, they are the best and she is batsh*t crazy. Or so they think.
When the sexy and dangerous Alex Moretti enrolls at Raleigh High, Silver’s world is turned upside down. Alex is different from the others and she likes him, a lot. (How could she not? HE IS SMOKING HOT). She tries so hard to fight the attraction between them but her efforts are all vain, it’s impossible to resist him.
Their physical connection is strong, but they also trust each other, rely on each other because their souls are alike – they’ve both endured pain.
Alex would do everything for Silver, his Argento, protecting her from Raleigh High has become his new mission, but saving Silver won’t be easy.
It took me like 50 pages to be unconditionally and irrevocably (Yes, I’m quoting Twilight!) in love with Alex. I’m going to repeat myself, I know, but he is HOOOOT. SO HOT. He is sweet, caring and strong and manly and… I WANT MY OWN ALEX. Where can I buy one?
Do we want to talk about the sex scenes? I literally melted while I was reading them.
A lot of things happen in this book, BUT I don’t want to spoiler them, so you have to read to know more. Do it, please, it’s soooo worth it! I say that all the time, I know, but I really mean it!
When I ended this book , I went crazy because I WANTED MOORE!!!
Buuuut you are lucky, because the second book is already out and here is my review.
3.4 stars? Is that a thing? I am making it a thing.
I saw this in my recommended after reading “Some boys” by Patty Blount (amazing! Go check it out) and thought it could be interesting. Overall I was a fan and went through it quick but I did not like the slow revealing of information. Half the time I just wanted it to get to the point. The reason I did not give it 3.5 and round up to 4 was the beginning. I see that the author was trying the mysterious keep you on the edge of your seat vibe, but this goes back to not having enough information half the time. It just did not make any sense without any context.
Anyways overall cool book. I would recommend THIS BOOK but the series kind of stops here. The plot just really dies out by the end and the second book is pretty flat.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and that the characters vocabulary fitted these rebellious teens. That awkward stage between being a kid and an adult, where they try to act mature but often fail miserably. The storyline kept me intrigued and I needed to know the outcome. Looking forward to reading Revenge at Raleigh High now, thankfully there’s no waiting as it’s released.
Once Silver was a popular cheerleader, now shunned and labelled as a liar and a troublemaker. She avoids the footballers and cheerleaders as she walks through the school hallways holding her head high. Now she is a self appointed loner, who hides in the pages of a book or with her guitar. Who knew the dark haired, bad boy covered in ink would come to her rescue the broken girl.
Alex has had it tougher than most of the students who attend Raleigh High, but he has a long term plan and needs to stay focused. When she threw her bag on his desk, which she claimed was her usual desk, he was left spinning. What does he do, avoid her until he can’t. Alex doesn’t shy away, in fact persistent would describe him better. These two broken souls have found one another, will they destroy or mend each other?
I started this book and I didn’t even know what it was about, but holy shit I loved it, Silver and Alex have all my heart, they’re so both so strong, I’m so in love with them!!
if you haven’t read this please do it, it’s perfect and the writing style is *chef kiss*
Gahhh I’m a huge lover of Callie Hart books, this woman NEVER fails to deliver a belter.
Whenever I hear a new book announcement from Callie I just know I have to read it, I’m addicted to her books, her stories and her characters and The Rebel of Raleigh High is no different.
Callie has a knack for writing books that touch your soul. Books that feature every day situations, books that cover topics that are hard to read about but you do it anyway because they pull you in and consume you.
The shit that Silver goes through is heartbreaking and that’s putting it lightly. This woman is so damn strong and beautiful and without a doubt my absolute favourite female of Callie’s.
I have a huge amount of love for Alex. He can see through bullshit and I love that the most. He’s closed off and keeps himself to himself. He’s a badass biker with tattoos for days. One that you too will instantly love when you read this book.
There’s a part at the end of this book that felt like it delivered a kick in the gut. The twist at the end is insane and delivers so many feels you just can’t deal with it.
The Rebel of Raleigh High is a fun and heartbreaking read. A read that’ll hook you from beginning to end and it’s without a doubt one of the best releases of 2019!
