The Rebel of Raleigh High is the first book in the Raleigh Rebels Series. Please be advised, this book comes with a trigger warning. Intended for readers 17+ * SilverHit me. Kick me. Hurt me. Hate me. There’s nothing that the students of Raleigh High can do to Silver Parisi anymore. Over the past year, she’s had to endure more pain and suffering than most people are asked to bear in their … most people are asked to bear in their lifetimes. She’s a pariah, an outcast, a ghost. She’s also never been one to take shit lying down, though…despite what half the football team might say.
With only one hundred and sixty-eight days left of the school year, it won’t be long until graduation, and Silver’s planning on skipping town and leaving Raleigh firmly in her rearview mirror…
Until he comes along…
Alex
Orphan.
Degenerate.
Reprobate.
Deviant.
Alex Moretti’s earned most of his labels, and he’s not ashamed of a single one of them. He’ll earn far worse before he’s finished with his new found ‘friends’ at Raleigh High. Having spent years being ground down under the boot heel of society, it’s time for a little payback. And if exacting revenge upon the heads of the Raleigh elite means he can also help the beautiful girl who hovers in the shadows, then that’s all for the better.
Oil and water. Fire and ice. The differences between Silver and Alex are broader than any chasm. To reach one another, they must take a leap of faith and fall into the divide.
And falling?
Nothing good ever came from falling.

Omg! This book blew me away. Nothing like I thought it would be and in a good way! Although the characters are in high school this is not a YA book! Dark, gritty, sexy, unexpected plot twist! Loved it!! I would totally not be sad if we got more Alex & Silver!!!!
High school is rough and Silver is just trying to survive. Having once been popular and now completely shunned and bullied. In walks Alex to Raleigh High and changes everything. Alex needs to get his act together to gain custody of his brother. These two together were just what the other needed. So heartbreaking what these two endured but together they can live!!
This book was so well written! I was invested in the story from the very first pages and I thought the sensitive topics were handled so well! I felt like I was in the moment so much throughout this book!
This was such an incredible read full of all the high school angst and tension. Silver was truly such a strong resilient character trying to find her way after her displacement by her so called friends. Alex was the new student bad boy with a heart of gold. The dynamics and tensions throughout the book completely caught me and wrapped me into the story and had me gasping in parts. Callie did such an amazing job weaving this tale and I little part of me is heartbroken it is over as this was a story I never wanted to end.
Be warned this book is full of all kinds of potential trigger issues so if you are a sensitive reader you may want to read the blurb first
I can’t tell you how much I LOVED this book. Callie Hart has touched on some VERY serious topics. If you are easily triggered, this book may not be for you.
I love Silver. What she had to endure, no one should ever have to. Not only does something super dark happen to her, she has to deal with it alone. The people that were suppose to be there for her, turned their backs and that just makes it more heartbreaking. But she’s a fighter. She’s resilient. She’s a survivor. I admire her so much for that.
Alex hasn’t had it easy either. My heart breaks for him. But he’s determined to make the best out of his life, even if he fights it along the way.
I love these two together.
This is the first book from Callie Hart that I have read and I am not disappointed. I can’t wait to see what’s to come for these two. And I CANNOT wait to see what happens with Jack. I hope it hurts in the worst way. Callie Hart
Omg this book.
Callie Hart has done it again.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book as it was new characters we haven’t met yet but wow.
There isn’t a lot you can say about this book without giving away spoilers but it’s definitely a must read and yet another masterpiece from an author who should be on everyone’s one click list.
Callie bravely tackled some hard hitting topics which might make it a tough read for some but please trust me and stick with it.
TRORH 5 Stars
This book is the quintessential story of what one would expect of a typical High school! You have your cliques….the popular crowd, the geeks and of course the outcasts. Anyone who’s been to high school knows it’s not a walk in the park and not for the feint of heart.
Silver is a perfect example of this….she knows life can be hard because she’s been living it since her fall from grace….or should I say her expulsion from the popular crowd. That is until Alex is transferred to Raleigh High and the tattooed bad boy becomes the white knight
This story was absolutely amazing….yes it’s dark but no more than what I would expect from Callie and at one point I was balling my eyes out and I just knew she was going to send me in a direction I didn’t want to go and then she surprised me with where it did go….not saying more I genuinely hope that we get more of Alex and Silver as it feels as though there might still be more story to be told. The extended epilogue that I read also led me to believe this
Thank you to Callie for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review
4.5 Stars for these rebel characters.
The Rebel of Raleigh High is not what I’m used from this author. As with her past books, she stuck to her standard bad boy hero and strong heroine…the story line was so different from what I expected.
This story touched on so many social issues, especially those young adults face today. Bullying, the reign and control the popular cliques have over the student body, and more. I was extremely touched by how it was all conveyed within the story and how strong the characters were when faced with it all.
Silver Parisi had an inner strength we could all hope to possess. Throughout her high school torment, she did her best to walk the halls of her school with her head held high. She’d been through a horrific ordeal but not once did she let it break her. Her sole goal was to make through her final year and get away from it all and begin somewhere new.
Silver’s strength was what caught Alex Moretti’s eye. He’s an outcast to most. His tattoos and impassive expression, his armor. But that armor also works against him. Leading people to judge him on his appearance for being a deviant, trouble maker.
But Silver sees more to him than that. These two characters provided strength and validation for one another that their pasts and experiences did not define them. They were worthy of love and worthy of a fulfilling life. They were beautiful souls.
I’m extremely touched and even more so, surprised with this story and the twist that nearly stoped my heart. It wasn’t expected in any way; which only made it that more real within the pages.
What an incredible story!!
Wow just wow this book was just wow!!! Yeah I know I’ve said that word three times already but its like all I got at the moment. This book is just so powerful and what a way to bust my Callie Hart cherry!!! There is like a lot of emotional issues this book touches on so makes sure you can handle some trigger points before reading this. But if you can this book will touch you in so many powerful ways that you will forever be changed once reading. You will feel like you are living in every single person’s shoes and put in perspective all povs to all feelings. And be prepared for a book hangover after this book. 5 stars isn’t enough for this book at all. This will definitely land in my top 3 books of the year and it will take some seriously tough books to knock it out. And I will be catching up on some Callie Hart books!!! – By Tina
4.5 Stars
I devoured this one! I’m telling you, Callie Hart delivered to us a standalone book (although we all will be knocking on her door for more…) that is full of triggers, darkness and heart stopping scenes.
Hello to my new favorite Book Boyfriend, Alex Moretti!!! I’m telling you, even though he’s pretty young, he packs quite the punch. He is definitely the boy your mother warned you to stay away from in High School. But did we ever listen to our mothers?
Silver Parisi is barely surviving her senior year of High School. Counting down the days until graduation. Although there was a day when Silver ruled the hallways. Not so much anymore. Graduate and get the heck out of town is her plan now a day.
That is until Alex shows up at school. Tattooed, Leather Jacket and roared into the parking lot on his Indian motorcycle. Swoon……
This is an action packed book! A whole lot of story jammed into this one. You can’t stop turning the pages to find out what will happen next.
I am a big fan of Callie’s work but I haven’t been completely obsessed like I have with others, after this book though I can honestly say that I am obsessed with Callie’s work. I was put through the wringer with this one and I loved each and every moment. I loved that she touched on subjects that many go through. This book was as realistic as can be. These situations that the characters go through can happen. People overcome them or they don’t and seeing how strong Silver was and how understanding Alex was heartwarming. I loved these two.
This book takes you one twists and turns that you don’t see coming. You will be left speechless, you most likely will be clutching your chest in pain and horror at moments and you will be left with tears in your eyes and more love for these characters than you know what to do with.
Callie wrote such a beautifully tragic and amazing book. These characters will stick with you for a very long time and you will become just as obsessed with Callie’s work the same as I am now. I don’t say it often but this book is going on my all time favorite books. I won’t be forgetting this story or its characters for a long time, if every. Definitely one of the best of 2019! Can’t wait to see what lies ahead for the Raleigh Rebels series!
I am disappointed in this book, not because of the writing but because of the content. The book is good, just nothing like the blurb or other reviews.
The story is well written and flows well, there is a good plot line and character development. It’s a good book… I just didn’t get what I thought I was getting.
The story takes place in high school, the maturity level is high school (even in the adult characters), but it wasn’t really a high school bullying story. That was there but majority of the book was about something completely different. Also the ending was very disappointing as the story built up for a specific reason but ultimately fell flat because the author chose not to follow trough with that promise. I am going to give a spoiler here because I really with someone written it in a review or at the very least alluded to it. So if you don’t want it stop here.

***spoiler***
This entire book is about a girl who gets raped by the football team, reports it, is not believed, and is then forced to have daily contact with her abusers. The entire book is about her dealing/not dealing with the emotional issues that comes from that situation. There is a boy, she does try and find a way to be with him, he helps her “get revenge,” (not really) but he was not thought out other then a vehicle for a new relationship. He should have been dealing with his own issues, not ignoring them to help her. The book was just the aftermath of rape and nothing at ALL like I thought it was going to be. Very depressing with no reader to character connection.
Loved The Rebel of Raleigh High! I absolutely love Callie Hart and all the words that she writes!
Dark, intense and seriously heartbreaking are only a few words to describe this book. And as intense as it can be, the sarcasm and banter between Alex and Silver will put a smile on your face.
Both Silver and Alex’s stories are so heartbreaking and yet they persevere.
My heart bleed for Silver and all that she went through, to have people you trusted turn against you and hurt you.
And omg Alex, dark, brooding bad boy Alex. 17 years old and he’s been through more than some adults.
Loved everything about this book and can’t wait until Book 2 comes out and no not a cliffhanger, just more to their story
Q:
It was a boy with a clean record, a winning smile and a glorious halo who broke me. Ironically, it’s the boy with the rap sheet, a body full of ink and the dangerous glint in his eye who’s putting me back together.
It’s been a minute since I had the opportunity to read Callie Hart and after The Rebel of Raleigh High, I’m kicking myself. You see, The Rebel of Raleigh High was my favorite Callie Hart book to date. And I can’t deny that in reading this book, I am again completely awed by her superior storytelling talents. Her words own your soul while you read and stick with you long after the story concludes. Without a doubt, Callie Hart deserves at least six stars on a zero to five scale… and I can’t tell you how very much I loved The Rebel of Raleigh High.
Q:
“You’d let me borrow your bike?”
“You’re already holding my damn heart and my soul hostage, Argento. You might as well take everything else.”
Prepare to be completely beguiled with Silver Parisi and Alex Moretti and their dark, YA romance. The Rebel of Raleigh High is well written, engrossing and thoroughly entertaining and quite simply should not be missed. I found the story’s pacing to be a little inconsistent, but the very nature of the story dictated such and the story flowed perfectly. The average reader doesn’t notice such thing if they remain engrossed in the story, but as a blogger—and more so, as an avid reader who completes roughly 10 books a week—little issues like this jump out at me. I pride myself in writing honest reviews, and that’s really the only reason I have to bring up the matter. You’ll notice that I still would not hesitate to give the story at least five stars. Also regardless of the pacing, Callie Hart has the ability to write a story that you completely lose yourself in. The Rebel of Raleigh High is a dual POV, dark romance with more twists and turns then I could have ever predicted. I love how she expertly weaves very realistic events into something unquestionably dark, romantic and sexy. Both Alex and Silver are very broken with fissures that run deep. These characters have stayed with me for days since I completed the book and words for this review did not come easy. I truly didn’t know how to convey how superbly entertaining both the story and characters of The Rebel of Raleigh High was.
ONE-CLICK. THIS. BOOK IMMEDIATELY!!!
Quotes:
Alex isn’t safe enough to be right for me, and I’m not whole enough to be right for him…
When Alex Moretti looks at you, you feel your soul laid bare, and it’s the most disturbing, thrilling thing I’ve ever experienced.
“You’ve only been here one day, so I’m sure they’ll forgive the faux pas. I’m the pariah of Raleigh High. Sitting anywhere with me is the quickest, most efficient way to commit social suicide. I am broken, Alex.”
“It’s okay to be broken. You have every right to be. Just don’t let them keep on breaking you. That’s not how you win this particular game.”
Without even knowing why or when I made the decision, I’ve realized I’m waiting for something to happen, for a match to strike or a fist to be thrown in her direction… and I’m preparing to raze the whole fucking school to ground in her defense.
“I also happen to think that you’re the most beautiful fucking thing I have ever witnessed with my own two eyes. I am watching you just as much as you’re watching me… and I don’t trust myself to look away.”
What an amazing book!!! I was in deep on this one!! I couldn’t put it down and I faked working all day to read it haha Callie sure knows how to write a captivating novel!!! Though there was one point where I wanted to smack the author then break my phone hahaha but luckily I kept reading and it was all good hahaha Anyway I highly recommend reading this one!!! I loved it and I can’t stress enough how killer this book was!!!
Callie Hart is the queen of fresh and unique stories. TRORH is set in high school but this is so NOT your typical high school tale. This was certainly a book I could not put down. Kept me on the edge. It had a great balance of heavy subject matter, romantic and steamy moments, some humor and suspense.
Silver is a senior that is just trying to get to graduation and away from the toxic environment at her school. She is talented, smart but struggling with hardcore bullying. This girl is strong and driven.
Alex is the new guy with a hard and heartbreaking past who is trying to turn his life around. His last chance is here at Raleigh HS. Alex is perfection. Completely swoon worthy.
Silver’s relationship with her dad was one of my favorite parent/child relationship I have read in along time. Loved the banter. I can not wait to see where Callie takes us next in this series!
Callie Hart never fails to get your blood pumping and heart racing for not only the chemistry she shows us between her characters, but for the suspense, tragedy, twists and turns. With this author, you know you’re going to get not just a story, but an experience! TRORH delivers in a big way, pulling me in headfirst and not letting me come up for air until the end!!
Alex, in trouble with the law, but too young for jail ends up being put in school at Raleigh High. He doesn’t want to fit in, but needs to tow the line. However, he’s distracted by his interest in the beautiful girl who’s an outcast. Silver has been ostracized and is now treated like a pariah by her once friends after she endured horrible trauma. Uncertainty and heartache are now her reality. Since their first encounter, neither are able to get the other out of their head. So completely different in every way, these two find common ground that bonds them.
This book broke my heart, made me laugh and then cringe, had me feeling angry and then horrified, scared the hell out of me, but left me smiling! Well played, Callie, well played.
Holy Sh*t…Wow! Callie has done it again with this fabulously dark and gritty romance! I didn’t think she could surpass her last book but this one does just that! Alex Moretti just misses being thrown into jail and instead gets a deal to be enrolled in Raleigh High since he is still a minor. It’s here that he meets Silver Parisi. Having a new person start school is a complication for Silver. Once a popular girl, she now tries to avoid the harsh bullying of the others after a incident that happened 9 months ago but Alex is an unknown factor she wasn’t expecting. A bad boy that might just be perfect to help her find her old self and get justice. “It’s okay to be broken. You have every right to be. Just don’t let them keep on breaking you. That’s not how you win this particular game.” This is a perfect dark romance that keeps you interested until the very end. I absolutely loved Alex and Silver together & how strong they are considering all they have been through in life. If you love a great dark romance with some triggers this book is for you! Told in dual POV
