We said we could do casual. We swore we wouldn’t fall in love. We lied.CharlieI didn’t buy my house just so I could stare at the guy next door. I swear. It’s not my fault he mows the lawn with his shirt off. His tattooed muscles are an eye magnet. I can’t look away. The first kiss is an accident. One taste and I have to have more. We were supposed to keep it casual. Neighbors with benefits. No big … it casual. Neighbors with benefits. No big deal.
When a client comes after me for turning him into the FBI, Lucas swears he’ll keep me safe.
I’m not supposed to fall in love with him. That’s not the deal.
I’m walking straight into broken heart and I can’t stop myself.
Lucas
My new neighbor is a nightmare. Or a wet dream.
Charlotte Winters, the crown princess of the Winters clan.
It shouldn’t be hard to keep my distance. We have nothing in common.
I grew up not knowing where my next meal was coming from. She grew up with a personal chef.
But Charlie isn’t what I expected. It’s not just that she’s funny, and determined, and sexy as hell.
She’s vulnerable. She’s in danger. And she turns to fire in my arms.
One kiss and I’m in too deep to walk away.
I have no business being friends with a woman like her, much less claiming a place in her bed.
Too f*king bad.
Now that I’ve had a taste of Charlie, I’m not giving her up. Not until I have to.
Even if it destroys us both.
The Rebel Billionaire is a standalone romance with a happy ending. It’s the fifth book in the Scandals of the Bad Boy Billionaires series and reveals more about the notorious Winters family. You can read it on its own, everything you need to know is explained, but once you get a taste you’ll want to read the others ;}

They said they’d keep it casual
Charlotte (Charlie) Winters world is turned upside down when her brother fires her from the family firm. Turning away from what had defined her, she sets to work refurbishing an old Atlanta house. A drunken afternoon on the porch sipping her brother’s prize whiskey (yes, she stole it) with her perpetually shirtless neighbor Lucas leads to an accidental kiss and more. Charlie doesn’t know what she’s gotten into, but in an act of rebellion plunges headlong into a casual relationship with Lucas, which pisses off her brother no end. She is from the wealthy and influential Winters family, and he is from “the other side of the tracks.” When danger rears its ugly head though, Lucas is there to save her. The gap in their social positions has to preclude their relationship from going beyond casual, doesn’t it?
I have read the whole series and couldn’t get enough. Love the whole family and each of the stories!!
sex appeal and bad boy, and wears his tattoos as a badge of honor and not take a bite of him? Well, simple you don’t. How do you not get emotionally involved with him when he is what stand between you and the past? Well, you don’t. How do you cope with an emotional draining set of events and then survive it all intact and sane? Well, you have to read to find out exactly what Charlie had to go through to get her piece of happily ever after. This was a challenge for her in more ways than one.
There something about being fired, drinking expensive alcohol, and a sexy man that makes you do things that you may not normally do. But for Charlie this was the turning point in her life. She acted on instincts that had been growing in her for as long as she had watched Lucas mow the lawn on many different occasions. This draws Lucas in further into a family dynamic that he wanted nothing to do with, but he had desired Charlie from afar for a while.
This read held a lot and gave a lot. Danger. Secrets. Betrayal. Sex. Lust. Passion. Pain. Family (good and bad). I found a depth of characters and blending of the two main characters that I was not expecting. I find that I truly loved reading this one. It is thus far my favorite from the series. With each new one I find more that I like about and don’t like about the Winter Family. I find that they are a family with faults, lines, guilts, secrets, passions, loyalty, and more.
I really enjoyed the book. I like the way they are building on the story of the Winter’s family. One of my favorites so far, looking forward to Aidens story.
I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into when I started this book, I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. The more I read, the more I felt like I knew this writing and had read Ivy’s work before, but an Amazon search showed I hadn’t. A little more research and I realized that Ivy Lane also writes as Alexa Wilder and I freaking LOVE her work. I so enjoyed this book, the up and down roller coaster of it all. I loved that Charlie while growing up rich was nothing like you would expect and not the rich princess that Lucas was expecting. I loved that Lucas, while clearly a HOT alpha male also had a sweet and caring side. The writing in the book is incredible, the characters were well developed and I can’t wait to go back and read every book Ivy has written prior to this and in the future.
From drastically different backgrounds, both went into a spontaneous casual relationship without desire for anything long-term. A surprise is in store for them as they start falling in love. This is a full length story which was unexpectedly engaging with interesting characters and steamy romance.
This is a really great story. The characters are well developed and interesting. Charlie and Lucas have chemistry and spark from the start. All the characters are well developed and you can’t help but love them. There is mystery, danger, romance. The intrigue and suspense keep you turning pages. I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the first in this series that I have read and now I will read the others. I highly recommed.
Gosh I like this series. Every couple’s story is interesting, romantic and steamy. There is an element of intrigue and some danger that keeps you wanting to turn the page.
Lucas is badass, gorgeous and whip smart. Charlie is stubborn, beautiful and independent. What starts off as a casual no strings, no expectations, just sex affair slowly evolves to so much more. While Lucas is protecting Charlie he falls hard but feels she’s too goood for him. After he’s from the wrong side of the tracks and she’s a Winter’s princess. When he finally realizes she wants to be by his side no matter what he hopes it’s not too late.
More clues emerge about the mystery of the Winters’ parents and aunt and uncles’s deaths through the ravings of what seems to be a crazy woman. I have my theories about the crime but I want to read on to find out how the mystery is solved.
