Torn between two loves… torn between two brothers. Is walking away always the easy choice?Alabama thought life was hard living with her single, loose, and always ready for another party mother… that was until her mama was sent to rehab and Alabama was shipped off to live with her mom’s best friend from high school… no one ever told her that she’d also be living with two boys… well really … well really men that were her of her age.
Joshua was the youngest brother, only a year older than Alabama’s age of eighteen. He quickly became her friend, best friend, but he always wanted more, something that Alabama couldn’t offer him.
Hunter, just look under the word brooding, handsome, rock star, and a picture of Hunter would surely show up. He wanted nothing to do with Alabama, ignored her every chance that he got. But was that his way of not getting close to someone who could break his heart?
Alabama never asked for the heartbreak or to cause family rift living with two brothers, both of whom loved her in their own special way. Would she be able to walk away from them both or would the strings of love pull her in and if so…which brother would she choose?
Due to sexual situations and profanity, this book is not suitable for readers under 16 years of age

The Reason Why

5 out of 5 stars
The story The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Alabama, Joshua, and Hunter. Alabama is a young girl whose life, because of her mother’s actions, has been upended. She is being sent to live with her mom’s best friend from high school. She didn’t realize that she would also be living with Joshua and Hunter. Joshua is like a best friend to Alabama. He makes her feel welcome and at home. Hunter however is moody and mostly ignores her. She is appreciative of the kindness she is shown and does her best to fit in. Living with them is at times filled with tension. What happens when feelings start to occur? What does the future hold for Hunter, Joshua, and Alabama? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my feelings going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I came to care about Alabama, Joshua, and Hunter with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to all find happiness. There are sad moments that tear at your heart and other times that are heartwarming. The characters are well-developed and the story is engaging. It is one that I would highly recommend reading.
I thought this book was a good one! I was sucked into the story and couldn’t help but love the characters. Alabama is the main character and I thought she was very likeable and down right gorgeous. When her mother goes into a rehab center, Alabama goes to live her mothers best friend. She isn’t sure what to expect out of the situation but it sure isn’t the two brothers she is quickly developing feeings for! Who will she choose?
I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. I would recommend to a friend.
The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
This book is so sweet, heartbreaking, steamy, romantic and dramatic! I loved everything about this book and the characters were all very lovable.
At first I was annoyed that it took so long to figure out the secret between Hunter and Joshua. The story kept intensely building up for me, and I just wanted to know why they were both acting so weird all of the time around Alabama. I was a little peeved that Alabama wouldn’t just come out and tell Joshua she only thought of him as a friend, I know she wasn’t intentionally leading him on.
Alabama, my heart breaks for her. I love her for her bravery to adapt and face whatever is thrown her way. Her mom is a piece of work, and the fact that she gives up her schooling and a better life for herself to take care of her mother is very admirable.
The tension and drama between Hunter and Alabama is insane. I do love them together as a couple and the love they have for each other could weather anything thrown at them. I highly recommend this book, again great story, great characters, wonderful concept and many heartbreaking moments to make for a wonderful book.
This story is a moving love story about a girl called Alabama and Hunter.
Alabama has had a rough start in life and has to go and live with her mums friend, who has 2 sons Joshua and Hunter.
From the start there is attraction from Joshua to Alabama but she feels for him only as a friend, however Hunter is the one she falls for.
Hunter though keeps blowing hot and cold which makes for a confusing situation.
I loved this book, it made me laugh, cry and feel the emotion of both Alabama and Hunter.
Theres arguments, histories are revealed, pain is cause and hearts are broken and mended. But it all comes down to The Reason Why.
The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is an extremely emotional story that will pull you in and not let go until you’ve finished the story.
Alabama hasn’t had an easy life. It gets a little more difficult when her mom is sent to rehab and she moves in with her mom’s best friend. Things seem to be looking up until Alabama realizes she’s caught between two brothers. Joshua instantly becomes a great friend even though he wants more from Alabama. Hunter doesn’t hide his distaste for Alabama living with them but Alabama can’t help how she feels for him. Will Alabama’s feelings create a rift between the brothers?
I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. I had a roller coaster of emotions the whole way through. I absolutely recommend this book!!
4 Stars
The Reason Why is a Breathless Series Novel by Izzibella Beau. It is a Young Adult/New Adult story that has a lot going on in it. From the complex characters, wonderful story, and the emotional and touching moments- this story held my attention the whole way through. It’s a descriptively detailed and well-written story that captures all the angst and inner turmoil the character/s are going through.
We meet Alabama, who is 18 years old. She’s had a pretty rough childhood. Her mother is a real piece of work, that’s for sure! So, when her mother has to attend rehab, Alabama goes to live with her mother’s friend, and her two ‘boys’. And so the story takes flight. There is friendship, a bit of a love triangle, self-discovery, coming of age, yearning, drama, and plenty of angst.
I really felt for Alabama and cheered her on from the sidelines. I really wanted her to succeed and get her chance at a HEA. She’s one of those characters that make you want to hug and nurture them. The story itself was a little predictable, but that didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment of it.
So, if you love a good YA story that takes you on an interesting and emotional journey, then this really is the book for you.
I look forward to reading more of this author’s work.
Thank you, Ms. Beau!
18-year-old Alabama has not had an easy start to her life, then her mom is jailed, and she is sent to live with her mom’s old friend Crystal – a lady she knows nothing about and who she has never met. What she finds there is a family she always wanted and lots more. Crystal’s handsome sons Hunter and Joshua both set their eyes on her and she is left wondering should she take her chance with the steady younger brother who has become a good friend to her, or the mysterious aloof older brother who makes her heart race on first sight.
I liked this book and it took me on a real rollercoaster. I felt for the lead character Alabama from the first page and she was a really likeable character. The writer took us on a lovely journey as Alabama discovered herself and how to make friends and create a whole new life outside of the one, she has always known. A fab book and a real escape from reality. Highly recommended.
The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau
Four stars
The Reason Why was a touching love story. You have two teenagers who have different views and different dreams. Bama lives with two guys who happen to love her. One a best friend the other a blooming love. I felt bad that someone was going to be hurt. Love triangles suck and are something I avoid reading about. No matter the outcome on the end. Someone still hurts. I liked Josh he was super sweet. Hunter was a jerk but I understood why he seemed so angry with the world. I couldn’t believe how Bama’s mother acted after she gave up everything to help her. No real parent would do that to the children they love.
“The circle of true love has a beginning and end that never stops. It is one that will always continue throughout the good and bad until each part can meet with the other and become whole again.”
While this story is about young love it is about true love. Izzibella Beau makes you believe in happily ever afters, no matter what your situation is.
I really liked this story. It had an element of suspense…you could feel that something bad or extremely sad was going to happen…FYI…it does happen. But these characters don’t let it end them, they find solutions and make their new situations work. (See quote above!)
Completely recommend this story to mature readers.
The Reason Why by author Izzibella Beau is the story of Alabama, an eighteen-year-old girl who hasn’t had the best early years. Her mother would definitely not be winning any mother of the year awards and because of this Alabama ends up going to live with her mother’s one-time best friend and her children. Alabama is unprepared for her new life, she has spent the past eighteen years pretty much being neglected, as a wanted member of a “normal” family. She is also not prepared for Joshua and Hunter and the feelings she possesses for the brothers.
This is the first book I have read by Izzibella Beau and I can honestly say that I hope it won’t be the last. I enjoyed her writing style and was quickly drawn into the story. I laughed many times and I am not afraid to say that there may have been a tear or two were shed. Throughout the book I rooted for Alabama to be given a shot on a life she deserved; I wish she was real so I could give her a hug! So, in conclusion I would like to say, good job Ms. Beau, you just found yourself a new fan!!

Rated 5 stars!!
Wow! Just Wow! I LOVED this book! I literally have chills still going up and down my body after finishing this. I felt everything these character did and laughed, cried and struggled right along with them. To me this is the definition of a great writer. I need to be able to be able to be drawn into a story. Love, hate and identify with the characters. Those are some BIG double checks on all of those for this book. Who couldn’t love these characters? They have heart!
This was written well and I had it read in one day! One Day people! I thought about it at work and couldn’t wait to get back home to see what was going to happen. I loved the secondary characters as well as the main ones. They are heartwarming and I enjoyed meeting that family. I loved how a couple of the MC’s were able to stand their ground for the greater good. Think of others before yourself is a great message. That title! I was curious about it but now I totally get it! It works and fits like a puzzle piece.
This is easily one of my favorite reads of the year!
The Reason Why is my first experience reading anything by Izzibella Beau and I have to say I am a bit disappointed that I have taken this long to get find her. I can’t wait to go back and read some of her other work. I had half expected this to be the typical love triangle book with the blurb but the teasers truly drew me in and I had to read it. I am glad I did, it had quite a few twists and turns that made it stand out among the crowd. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store and what is to come.
The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is a story that will stop you in your tracks and make you think and feel. It is a story of life having been upended, a story of growing up and a story of hard choices. It is not the first book I have read by this writer and I think she is a great YA writer that I would recommend to any of high schoolers and teenagers struggling with finding their way.
Alabama’s life has always been close to the edge thanks to her mother’s actions and it culminates with her mom ending up locked up so she gets sent to her mom’s best friend from high school who has 2 sons, Joshua and Hunter. You can only imagine how life might be with them … one of them becomes the best friend and the other one seems to be ignoring her … I believe many of us who are older than the target audience, can still remember the angst and pain and hope and the first love …
I promise that you will cry and laugh and it all feels real and you keep your fingers crossed and hope that everyone finds their happiness. And add to this music and you have a movie running in your mind’s eye. I wish you many pleasurable hours while following in Alabama, Hunter and Joshua’s footsteps!
What a read! The Reason Why is my first book from this author, and what a book to read as my first introduction to her incredible writing style and even better characters. This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that makes you unable to put this read down. The characters journey that we follow is engaging and relatable and real. I couldn’t stop turning the pages to find out more of their journey and where the story will go. There were many relatable issues that arise in the book that is known to many and the things they face, but it was written brilliantly and flowed effortlessly.
This is a brilliant book that I’m glad I got the chance to read and you will too! I highly recommend this read.
The Reason Why : Breathless Series by Izzibella Beau. I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them, so I knew that this book would be no different. This is a coming of age, young love story. Where Alabama is torn between Joshua, who is only a year older than her and a total sweetheart and his older brother Hunter, who is a brooding, sexy rockstar. Will this cause chaos in the family, both guys love her in their own way and she loves them both also. Will she be able to choose or is it better for everyone if she just walks away altogether.

5+++++ Stars
My third book by this author and I couldnt pick a favorite right now even if I tried. Ive had this one on my kindle for a bit and have wanted to read it since the day I got it, and finally did and OMG, I loved it.
There was a lot going on in this story, from family issues, to friendship and the whole torn between two brothers thing happening..It was how this story was put together and told that made me love it so so much. I was afraid it would follow storylines Ive read before and things would happen and I was completely thrilled it didnt take that route, instead it took routes that had me glued to the kindle till I finished..I walked around doing everyday things while reading and listening to this story until I finished. This author has a way of drawing you in quick and then holding on as you take a journey through all of your emotions.
Izzibella Beau is most definitely on my list of favorites and I will be watching for everything I can get my hands on by her.
LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!
The Reason Why: Breathless Series by Izzibella Beau is a Y/A coming of Age story. The story is about a young girl, whose mother only cares about herself and her actions have lead to her daughter being taken and thrown into another life. The story was a little predictable but was still and interesting read. It is definitely a story for the younger generation and one I am sure they will love. With some twists and turns it is bit of an emotional rollercoaster and will have your heartbreaking at times but it will also see times when your heart melts.
Alabama life has been shaken up and she is now living with her mom’s friend and two young men, Joshua and Hunter. One has become her best friend and the other ignores her. Will her living there cause more heartache and pain? No one said love was an easy ride.
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. THE REASON WHY is a Y/A Coming of Age story about a girl from the wrong side of the tracks who gets taken in by her mom’s friend when things get tough. Some of it was cliché, some of it was predictable, however the story had enough originality to it that it held my attention and encouraged me to stick with it until the end.
There are a few little twists in the story that were unexpected. The story kind of reminded me of a John Hughes movie. Characters were age appropriate most of the time, made poor decisions some of the time, and always moved the story along at a good pace.
I am not the target demographic for the story and I enjoyed it so I imagine those who fit the demo will also enjoy it. I think this book should have come with a soundtrack as well. Music was a big part of it with an original song written for the story. Would have been cool to hear what the author’s inspiration was.
This book was a solid 4 stars for me.
The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is an emotional story that will have you turning the pages as fast as possible.
Now I will be the first to admit that love triangle stories aren’t usually my favourite. I find them tedious. However the author has done such a good job with this book that I couldn’t help but be drawn into these characters and their lives.
For me, straight off, it was Hunter that caught my attention. He is exactly the type of person I enjoy reading about – the brooding, mysterious guy that has so much more about him once you Perl back the layers. The contrast between the Brothers was done well and I was convinced through and through by it.
I found it easy to read this book quickly, at times it was like the pages turned themselves. A great read and one I would recommend.
The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is a story about a young lady who had a rough time in life. This theme is a sensitive theme for people. I tried to keep a open mind while reading about Alabama. Ms. Beau did a great job. Her characters are well defined as well as complex. There were several roller coaster rides but they were all worth it. Alabama’s story is one of a mother who really should not have had a child. Her mother was sent into rehab and Alabama want to live with her mother’s best friend from high school. That is where one says was the pivot point in Alabama’s life. She went to a house with two males and the rest is history. The journey of love can take several roads to get to the end to see who you are going to be with in life. Will Alabama find love or will she fail? Will she end up with Joshua or Hunter or someone totally different? You will have to read this story to find out the conclusion for Alabama’s story.
