good read
Owes much to Jack Reacher, and pays its debt. Set in the future, a clone manifests much of the classic and familiar Reacher traits while still carving a niche for himself. Quick paced thriller series, great for the beach or a COVID quarantine.

Set in the Reacher Universe by permission of Lee Child
Meet Jack Reacher’s genetic duplicate. And the assassins determined to track him down…
Rock Wahlman: Forty-one years old, United States Navy Master at Arms, E-8, retired.
Grew up in an orphanage, recently discovered that he is the product of a human cloning experiment, an exact genetic duplicate of a former army officer named Jack Reacher
I really enjoyed this set of books & the adventures of Jack Reacher. Action-packed & a good page-turner. Loved that it was CLEAN with no profanity/sex!
I”m a fan of Lee Child. This writer isn’t even close.
Maybe someone who hasn’t read the Jack Reacher books will enjoy this but having read all of the Reacher books this just seems like a low level knockoff
A good follow on from the Reacher books
Any normal “Reacher” novel is, for me, an automatic five stars.
Whilst these books are entertaining, and the premise not quite what I expected, it just wasn’t the same. I finished feeling a tad flat and shaking my head at the end for what is coming. Thus, thus read, just scrapes in for four stars.
Too sci fi for me
Decent but not as good as the original Reacher books.
The only reason I bought this was because it said “Reacher” in the title.
The plots are juvenile and so improbable. All these so called “books” are more like stories, all part of a whole.
Considering this happens eighty years in the future, very little has changed. Occasionally something is thrown in to try to show it happens in the future, but comes off clunky. No one uses cell phones because they can be hacked. Everyone now uses pay phones. Not ever going to happen.
Genetically, Rock may be a clone of Reacher, but mentally, not even. This guy is nothing like the Reacher I have come to know from the past 24 books by Child.
If I hadn’t had read the Reacher books, this may not have offended me so much. But, if you are going to ride on Reacher coattails, you need to do better. Diane Capri also rides Reacher coattails, but she is smoother with it.
It was an interesting concept and an easy read
What can I say? It is excellent because it hinges on Jack Reacher.
It was way very unrealistic even when I knew it was going to be that way.
Set in the future, but not really…. not a very well developed plot or characters… did not finish the series.
Pretty good but storyline being in 2090’s, did not reflect technology advances and other changes certain to have taken effect since 2020
Totally unrealistic with giant plot holes, but fun to read anyway.
I enjoyed this book a lot but it lost mr at the end
I have read all the real Reacher books so it was hard to get into this series. I did finish it but was a little disappointed. It is a pale imitation of the real Reacher.
As it was supposedly set in the future, there wasn’t much futuristic things in it, until the very late books. The story line and conversations were good, but I was disappointed the author didn’t take more advantage of this being set in the future.
