Praise for Jude Hardin’s Thrillers:
POCKET-47 sucked me in and held me enthralled. Author Jude Hardin keeps the pace frantic, the thrills non-stop, but best of all is his hero, the wonderfully ironic Nicholas Colt. This is a character I’m eager to follow through many adventures to come.
—Tess Gerritsen, New York Times bestselling author of DIE AGAIN: A RIZZOLI & ISLES NOVEL
The best PI debut I’ve read in years, fit to share shelf space with the best of Ross Macdonald, Sue Grafton, and Robert B. Parker. POCKET-47 is so hot you may burn your hands reading. Highly recommended.
—J.A. Konrath, author of the Jack Daniels mysteries
Hardin gets everything right in his powerhouse thriller debut, which introduces rock star–turned–PI Nicholas Colt.
—Publishers Weekly on POCKET-47
KEY DEATH is an exhilarating thriller that punches way above its weight. It hits you hard and fast with crackling suspense, hair-raising twists and stunning revelations. Word of advice: don’t start on this one unless you’re prepared to stay up all night.
—John Ling, author of THE BLASPHEMER
Colt is a physical, no-holds-barred PI, reminiscent of Robert B. Parker’s Spenser and Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, and his debut is action-packed. With a hefty toll of dead bodies, some described in cringe-inducing detail, this is crime fiction at its rawest. Hard-boiled connoisseurs should make Colt’s acquaintance now.
—Booklist on POCKET-47
With CROSSCUT, Jude Hardin takes the PI novel and psychological suspense to a new, unrestrained level. Fast, fierce, and relentless.
—David Morrell, New York Times bestselling creator of Rambomore
As a big fan of Jack Reacher I was curious. I found this book…actually a three book pack….a good read. The writing is very similar to Lee Childs books which makes you feel like Jack was going to show up soon. Wasn’t clear that it was 100 years later! These three boooks were really three short stories creating a full book. I probably won’t buy the next “book” since it is also a short story sold at a book price. My biggest issue is that each ended as basically a cliffhanger…..and I’m not into that. I’m good with ongoing issues, but prefer a resolution at the end of the book for the base story. Too bad really….I really loved the writing!
It was so good I bought the next book in the series! Beware can be habit forming
Action packed Reacher style. Loved it.
It was very good reading.
Mediocre knockoff. Not bad enough to put down and quit reading. I kept hoping.
Great read!
I didn’t like this much… Too much talk of Reacher – not much else.
Along the style of Lee Child.
Real good read
Sort of a rip off of Lee Childs writing but was a pretty decent reading.
Set in a future (80 years from now) that demonstrates ZERO changes from the present except that (spoiler alert) the lead character is a Jack Reacher clone. Other than that, nothing has changed. Gasoline engines (mostly), PHONE BOOTHS, bacon and egg breakfasts. Otherwise the story could have been written by Lee Child on a slightly off day. I don’t like “Rock” as much as I do Jack, but it was a quick read and, as I rated, “okay”.
These are the 1st 3 installments of a serial. Surprise!
Set 100 years after the original story. An unauthorized clone of Reacher is trying to stay alive when the typical “bad government” agency is trying to eliminate all evidence of the illegal cloning experiment. As usual, bad things happen to females that befriend Reacher or his clone.
Interesting premise and action packed!1
Enjoyable take on Reacher’s world.
It was fun. Not as “futuristic” as I expected. Easy to read.
A supposed future “Jack Reacher”. Very quick read. It’s supposed to be set in 2098, but the descriptions sure aren’t futuristic. It kills some time, but I won’t be looking for any other volumes.
The timeline of the book isn’t readily presented thoughtfulness i just missed it.
Keeps you on the edge of your seat
Could not put it down. I want to read all of Reacher books/
