* NEW: The Rancher’s Unexpected Nanny with added epilogue! * *Finn Henry was once a rodeo star. That was, until life happened. His wife was expecting, his father in law was injured, and the family ranch needed someone at the helm. To compensate he’d thrown himself into ranching—losing himself in the grief.

Enjoyable story. The characters and storyline were interesting. A Dad who is almost clueless and his daughter’s teacher who is just trying to help him out. His daughter was adorable and she just wanted them to get together and be a family. I requested and was given a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
An unexpected result.
There are some really good characters in this one. Neither, Finn or Callie has had it easy and then you throw into the mix Wendy and you have the start of a wonderful story. Sometimes what you plan in this case getting father and daughter together has an unexpected result. Sometimes life just gives you the chance to find a new path to follow in life. I enjoyed the book and it is one I will gladly recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I liked Finn and Callie’s story. Callie was looking for something more and was moving to New York for a new teaching job but agreed to be Wendy’s nanny during the summer so Finn could have time to do what he wanted and join the rodeo circuit again. But after they give in to their attraction and they start to feel more like a family, will they want to leave that behind? At the end, they realized what was truly important and Wendy was just the icing on the cake.

Finn and Callow have a common interest, Wendy, his daughter and her student. She has a soft spot for them both but is moving for her dream job. When she offers to help over the summer against her better judgement, she finds her dreams may have changed. Will Finn open his heart to love? Will they all bond and become a family like he so wants but gave up on?
Don’t miss as this stubborn rancher and teacher clash and open up in the best ways.

Life broke their hearts, but fate gave them the chance to make a fresh start. Jackson and North pack a great deal of emotions inside this second chance story. Finn thought he had everything, until his happy life disintegrated right before his eyes. A shadow of his former self, he needs all the help he can get to reach his daughter and heal two broken hearts. What he gets is a stranger, that could hold the missing piece to his soul. Heartwarming romance.
Uneven Love Story
I love cowboy romances. Don’t know why. Don’t care to analyze it. So I’m always happy to see when one comes along to read and review. That being said this book had the makings for a good storyline with all the right characters: Callie, kindergarten teacher/Nanny; Wendy, five year old daughter to Finn; Widower/Rancher/former Rodeo Star. Unfortunately it just missed the mark with Finn. I found his dialogue just weird. Every other character? No problem. Enjoyed and loved Wendy. But when Finn appeared on the pages it was like an actor who came on stage and stumbled thru his lines. Sigh.
There is an HEA that is sweet so there’s that.

Callie’s leaving Texas at summer’s end, for her dream job in New York. But she’s about to be homeless – her landlord rented out her apartment. She agrees to be Wendy’s nanny for the summer, working for Finn. He’s had a tough time since his wife died, and he’s not sure how to handle a precocious little girl. As Callie and Finn get to know each other, the walls begin to soften, but not fall just yet. The three of them fall into a nice routine, and Callie and Finn begin a sort of relationship. They both hold back, though, knowing that she’s leaving in a couple of months. As they both take off to chase their dreams, they begin to realize exactly who and what is important to them both. And it’s happy ending time. I really liked this book – just couldn’t put it down.

This was a middle of the road read for me. I really liked Callie and Finn’s daughter Wendy and I found the storyline engaging. Finn, for me was frustrating. He had his moments but to me he came across as selfish. I know he had suffered a loss but so had his daughter and I really didn’t feel that he was putting as much effort as he should or even treating Wendy like the piority she should have been to him. Still everyone deals with grief in their own way, but it really bothered me. Other than that issue, this was a good read with a fair amount of chemistry, a medium heat level and lots of emotions.
