CLAIMING HER COWBOY by Tina Radcliffe
CLAIMING HER COWBOY by Tina Radcliffe is the first book in the Big Heart Ranch series. It’s the wonderfully touching, romantic and inspirational story of Lucy Maxwell and Jackson Harris.
Lucy is the director of the Oklahoma’s Big Heart Ranch which she started up with her two siblings. They had all been through the foster system and know how important stability and feeling secure is for children. Their goal at the ranch is to do that while giving them the love, attention and direction so many of them have lacked in their tender years – many growing up way too fast never experiencing a real childhood. The baggage of her past is her driving force and keeps her going for these kids. She’s been burned by love and says she’s given up on it. Instead she pours all her love into the kids and the ranch.
Jackson, badly hurt by a fiancée who evidently was more interested in the size of his portfolio than his heart, has lost his direction. He leaves the big city life and goes to his Aunt Meri’s. Feeling he needs to check into the large contribution his aunt makes to Big Heart Ranch, he agrees to stay at the ranch incognito and see what the ranch is all about. Feeling responsible for his twin brother’s death, he had always stayed away from kids. That had never been a problem until one little five year old boy named Dub (the single boy in a set of triplets) wormed his way right into his heart when he wasn’t looking.
Can Lucy and Jackson get past their past baggage to see what’s right in front of them? Or will their being so alike and always butting heads send them running in the opposite direction? What will happen to Dub and his sister’s at the end of the summer? Can a retired general and a loving aunt open their eyes?
Tina Radcliffe delivers and fabulous story full of emotion, love and romance that will have you pulling for Lucy and Jackson and the Big Heart Ranch. This author never disappoints me. This was another prime example of her great writing skill. Definitely recommend CLAIMING HER COWBOY giving it 5+ stars.
THE RANCHER’S TEXAS TWINS by Allie Pleiter
THE RANCHER’S TEXAS TWINS by Allie Pleiter is the sixth book in the Lone Star Cowboy League: Boys Ranch series. It’s the delightful story of confirmed bachelor and rancher Gabriel “Gabe” Everett and sweet, down on her luck single mom of twin girls Avery Culpepper.
Gabe’s happiest when things are neat, orderly and quiet. He’s life goal is to provide a good, loving home for boys who have been neglected and mistreated and only need a helping hand to become productive, thriving adults. That goal is in danger from the last will and testament of an ornery old goat by the name of Cyrus Culpepper, who very few had any kind words for. The wills stipulations mean having to track down the four original boys from the ranch, Cyrus’ granddaughter – Avery, and Gabe’s maternal grandfather – Theodore Linley, and hold a big celebration or the land the boy’s home is on would be sold and turned into a strip mall. Can he totally disrupt his life inviting Avery and her twins to stay at his home in order to keep her in town for the big celebration?
Avery is trying to find herself after the end of a disastrous marriage, start a new business and raise her twin daughters to the best of her ability. With much resentment of her grandfather who she felt abandoned her to the foster system, she was reluctant to show up in Haven, Texas to fulfill the wills requirements. So far there’s not been much in her favor to cause her to stay. Will seeing the hope and promise in the boy’s eyes at the ranch give her reason enough to stay and see it through?
Gabe has no place in his life for the likes of two messy, noisy, all things pink girls and Avery is determined to wrap things up and head back to what she calls home and her life there. Is it possible that they are more alike than different? Can the girls wiggle into one closed off heart? What really is the definition of “home”? Can you make home where you feel at peace and start your life over?
Allie Pleiter wrote a grand tale in THE RANCHER’S TEXAS TWINS having you fall in love with twins, Debbie & Dinah, and laughing as they weave themselves into Gabe’s heart. You will warm up to Haven, Texas and its town folks just as Avery does.
Two amazing stories by awesome authors! Highly recommend this 2 novels in one book to anyone that loves wonderful Christian inspirational romances that will have you turning pages while pulling for true love to find a way. They will tug at your heart string and have you believing in happily ever after.
