Definitely getting all the other books in the series.
I loved the premise of this one. What would you do if the town matchmakers put your mug in an ad requesting a bride for you!?
Meet Wyatt. He’s a good guy. Trying to go about his life with a broken heart. Not looking for love.
Well, this sweet woman from California is about to change everything. Even though he doesn’t want her to.
Because …
New telling of an old story. Rancher Wyatt Malone meets Hannah Richmond and her young son for the first time at a café the town of Shotgun Ridge, Montana. Wyatt had loss a wife and a three year old son in a car accident a few years ago. Some of the old timers in town though it was time for him to get over his grief, remarry, to repopulate the …
This was a touching story, a contemporary mail-order bride. Hannah was a city girl looking for a steady life for herself and children. Her need for security, kindness, community, and love touched my heart. I loved her grit and determination to face her fears and get to know ranch life. Wyatt was blind sided when Hannah came to town. Despite his …
This is a great book and a wonderful start to what appears to be a great series. The characters are exactly what I would expect from a ranching community and this book introduces us to some of the men who are likely to feature in future books. I love the fact that it is the older men who are meddling in people’s love lives rather than the women …
Just loved this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Neff’s style is effortless and drew me in completely. I highly recommend this book!
Good cowboy story about finding love after a heart broken through death and a heart broken through a loveless marriage and divorce
Wow! Western Romance has come a long way since the ones my grandmother read when I was a youngster! Mindy Neff in her novel The Ranchers Mail-order Bride, takes an age old tale of mail-order brides and adds a modern twist to make a delightful story of true love found under the Montana Sky! At times I laughed out loud as the town’s four …
This story really tugged at the heart strings. He was a widower whose wife and son died in a car accident and she is a divorced mom of 1 and 1/2 who wants a simpler life. As a city girl, age hardly knows a moose from an elk and she is deathly afraid of snakes. He is hostile to opening up his heart but love does conquer all.
I always love a cowboy hero and this one didn’t disappoint. No one is perfect and these characters aren’t but they are beautifully human. The HEA is all you could ask for.
Interesting characters and good read.
I liked reading and liked the characters.
I love this author’s sense of humor! This was the first book I read by her, and I now only have book 8 left on the series. They are very quick and fun reads. I enjoy a good modern day mail order bride story but this definitely had a new, laugh out loud twist!
Excellent characters in a western setting.
Just plain enjoyable.
Predictable but I liked this story a lot.
I really liked this storyline and the characters of Shotgun Ridge. Hannah moves with her son, Ian to Shotgun Ridge in response to a mail-order bride ad that 4 old men from the town placed. Wyatt did not know the ad was placed for him or that they were even coming. I only wish there’d been an epilogue with a wedding and the birth and name of their …
The characters are very likable. I found myself rooting for them! I didn’t want the book to end.
A fun read–a good book for when you don’t want to think too deeply and just enjoy reading
Some of the old men in Wyatt’s town were afraid their city was dying, so what could they do to bring life back to their hometown? Their plan was to bring women to the town who would marry the locals and have their babies. So they started their quest for women by putting Wyatt’s name on an ad for a mail-order bride. He had no idea about it until …
