A largely famliar romantic form enlivened by unusual characters and an original plot.
The outcome is predictable.

Was well done, so many you know what is happening next. But with this one I was searching for how it would resolve and you were kept reading to the very end for answers.
Although I prefer a clean read, i did enjoy and recommend this book.

Thoughly enjoyed this book. Characters are fun and entertaining.
I like this author’s writing. It is very romantic. I did not read the prequel to this book but think I should now.
At times it dragged, but overall was an interesting read.
A gripping read, from start to finish! Kimberly Cates continuously writes a very good novel.
Read it years ago and it is still a keeper.
The main characters spoke so clearly and honestly to each other, I wondered if they’d time-traveled to Regency times. (Minor characters kept to more traditional language. Despite (or because of) their clarity and honesty—both needed a wealthy spouse—I quickly empathized and enjoyed the book.
