From #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes the next installment in her Wicked series. The King must have his Queen….Bestowed the forbidden Summer’s Kiss by the King of the Summer fae, Brighton Jussier is no longer just human. What she is, what she will become, no one knows for sure, but that isn’t her biggest concern at the moment. Now Caden, the King, … Caden, the King, refuses to let her go, even at the cost of his Court. When the doorway to the Otherworld is breached, both Brighton and Caden must do the unthinkable—not just to survive themselves, but also to save mankind from the evil that threatens the world.
Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.

This was the fitting ending to this little trilogy of extras in the Wicked series. Who else but Armentrout could get us so excited by characters that weren’t the main ones in the original series, but had such integral roles to play in the story, even if it was in the background. And of course any and all time we can spend with Tink is just the icing on the cake. I love how the bad guys in the stories often have such a reason that you can almost, I said almost, forgive them, or at least understand why they did what they did. I mean, to be able to love Caden, the King, after what he did in the main Wicked books is something in itself. Of course Armentrout knows how to write a villain, I mean my one of my favorite book boyfriends of her books will always be Roth, the son of the Prince of Hell.
“I love you Brighton. I know I fell in love with you before we even spoke to one another. That love only deepened when I saw how strong and resilient you became. When learned how incredibly intelligent and generous you are.”
The Queen picks up right where The King left off. Brighton has just found out that she’s pregnant and that if Caden does not choose a fae to marry and become his queen then the Summer Court is basically doomed. To say that Brighton has a lot to deal with is an understatement of epic proportions. While I understand why Brighton made the decision to keep the baby a secret from Caden until he had chosen a queen, I didn’t agree with it. Maybe it’s because had that been me, I would have totally been selfish and said to hell with everyone and everything else. I mean how do you turn away from a man that is willing to sacrifice everything for you? But I will say that what Brighton was willing to do is honorable and brave in a way that I think a lot of people would never be able to be.
Have I mentioned how much I love Caden? I have? Well, let me just say it again anyway. I absolutely love Caden! I mean, he knows what he wants and he goes after it. And while he never gives up on Brighton he does give her time and space to adjust to everything. Although, that does come back to bite him in the ass to a certain extent. But then again he thought he was doing the right thing, just like Brighton thought she was doing the right thing. But what’s that saying? The road to hell is paved with good intentions? That’s definitely something that both Caden and Brighton learn in this book.
For a novella there is a lot that happens in this book and there was a twist that I didn’t see coming. I suspected part of it, but the full betrayal that ends up coming out blew me away. And while I think that there are some definite loose ends that didn’t get tied up, overall I’m happy with the way the book ended. And hey, maybe that means that at some point in time Jen will go back into this world and write more. A girl can hope.
“All that I am. All that I have. It’s yours. I’m yours.”

: The Queen
: A Wicked Trilogy #3.7
: Jennifer L. Armentrout
: 4/5
The queen is the final installment of this novella series (sounds a bit funny, but that is basically what it comes down to). I loved the characters, they all have grown even more and that made me love and understand them even better. So this ending, it usually does not happen I like the last book in a series the least, but in this case it did. I just felt like there should have been more to the story. I was expecting a bit more action and I thought there would be this insane final battle, but that did not happen in my opinion. It was just not as spectacular as I hoped. That said, I do really love all the other aspects of this novella. Even more so, I did loved how everything ended up between Caden and Brighton ended, there was also an epilogue which I LOVED (big plus since Tink was featured as well). I enjoyed reading this novella and the others tremendously and I think they are a great addition to the Wicked series.

PERFECT ending to the novella eries. The Queen is the final novella in the A Wicked Trilogy novella series. I absolutely loved this book. I m obsessed with Jennifer and her fantasy romance books and only Jen can end the previous novella on cliffhanger and made me this goddamn impatient
This novella picks up right where The King left off. We see Brighton is back and healing from her unpleasant visit with a fae in last book and goes on to address all the things left unsaid in last two novellas.
I really enjoyed it alot and finished it in one sitting. Omg and spending time with Tink my bestie lol is a bonus!!Jennifer knows how to write one hella amazing books. Fantastic read!
OK. Wow. I didn’t see that one coming! Caden is awesome. Brighton did drive me nuts in this one, though. I can’t explain why without spoilers though, so let’s just say, she wasn’t thinking very clearly, the ninny. Still, i thoroughly enjoyed this last installment. I prefer this series more than the original Wicked trilogy.
Alrighty, Wicked fans. Prepare yourselves for an UNBELIEVABLY THRILLING, SIZZLING, UNPREDICTABLE NOVELLA THAT WILL BLOW YOUR EVER LOVIN’ MINDS!

I swear with each novella, they draw me in more and more with their astounding personalities and adventures that come about. Review:
I was super excited to read this novella. Especially after the way the King ended. It left me wanting for more. I wanted to see how Brighton and Caden would handle the next round of hurdles being thrown their way.
What is this book about:
We are still following the story of Caden and Brighton. After being kidnapped and tortured for 2 months, Brighton is rescued and is now save. Or so they think. Someone is still after Brighton and wants her out of the way.
Only one of the 5 that killed her mother and attacked her is left standing. But he seems to not want to show himself. The Queen is ever lurking and people are still working in order to get her back in our world.
Betrayal is never fun, but it’s shocking when it’s coming from the person you least expect it from. Will Brighton and Caden be able to overcome anything that’s been thrown in their path or will some hurdles be to big to overcome.
What did I like/love:
I loved how Caden was with Brighton. He wanted to do anything for her, to make her happy and feel loved.
As always it was funny and great to see Tink again. He is such an amazing character. He is hilarious and charming but can be a bad ass when needed. I loved how he was willing to throw down for the people he cared about.
I am surprised with the ending. Don’t worry, not in a bad way but I expected something a bit more? Hope that vague enough but that the people that have read the book know what I’m talking about.
I expected to find out why Caden couldn’t find Brighton in the second book but I can’t recall if he explained it or not. It’s a good reason to reread the book when it comes out hahah.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I think all three novella’s work well as ‘1’ book as well. The stories really flow well from one to the other. This story moved a bit slower in this book than it did in the previous one though.

5 I loved it stars
It’s been a while since I stayed up late for a book, and an extra long while since I audibly laughed due to a book.
The Queen was absolutely thrilling in terms of making my heart want to lurch out of my chest. I started not reading full paragraphs and kept swiping because I NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. Also, I don’t suggest doing this, you’ll end up going back and reading it anyways.
Definitely worth the read for Wicked lovers and newcomers. These novellas are meant to be an introduction into the world, but I still highly suggest starting with Wicked.
Seriously. Read this book. If not for yourself, do it for Tink.
Who knew going back into the Enchanted Wicked world would feel this sweet. The Queen picks up right where The King leaves us with that dreaded gut wrenching cliff hanger. Long awaited revelations are revealed and a misunderstanding leaves us readers grasping for straws when it comes to Bri & Caden.
“ . . ’ . ’ .”
Loyalties will be tested and blood will be spilled, but the bond between Bri & Caden is stronger than ever. No matter the cost these two are a force to be reckoned with. Only the strongest will survive in this world of chaos and bloodshed. Yet No matter the hurdles that fate sends their way, Caden newly crowned king will do whatever it takes to protect what is his.
“ , . . . .”
I still can’t get over the fact this is the end to Bri & Caden’s story, but I felt personally this was too short for all that has happened with Aric and the pregnancy announcement. What really hit me the most with this novella was the Brighton is more than willing to sacrifice everything to protect the man she loves and his kingdom. So sad to see this enlightening series come to an end, but a bittersweet ending.
“ . . . . .”
The Queen is the third and final book in the Wicked Novella trilogy and it did not disappoint. The novellas should be read in order starting with The Prince. Although you technically do not have to read the Wicked Trilogy before diving in to the Summer Court books, you’ll get the best story if you start with Wicked. Plus, that trilogy is an amazing read, so no harm there.
I’ve always been a huge JLA fan, so I’m basically guaranteed to love anything she puts out. I’m happy to report The Queen was no exception. She brought an interesting take on the Fae world with the Wicked series, and I was happy to dive back in with the latest release. It’s always sad to see the end of such a great story line, but we can always start the series over from the beginning. I know I definitely see a reread of both trilogies in my near future.
The Queen picks up right where The King left off. We get to learn more about our featured couple, Caden and Brighton, and we also see the return of some favorites like Tink. I mean really who doesn’t love Tink. Pretty sure he’s everyone one’s favorite. Brighton is a seriously strong female lead and Caden is swoon worthy. We get the answers we so desperately longed for in the other novellas, and leave the characters on a happy note. I love nothing more than for characters who have faced so much to be able to heal each other and grow together.
Overall, the final installment left me feeling satisfied. I felt like she wrapped up the story nicely. Of course, I have a major book hangover, but that is to be expected. Highly recommend everyone check out the Wicked trilogy and Novella Trilogy!!
This book wraps some of the issues from the previous ones. It gives us a much needed spot to catch our breaths, but still add lots of intrigue and a twist I never saw coming.
There are a few unanswered questions, so I expect that there will be another novella in the future. At least I hope there will be. I love these characters and love seeing old characters makes an appearance too.
This was a very satisfying read.
The Queen was a magnificent ending to a wonderful story! I loved Caden and Brighton’s story from the very beginning and this book gave me closure on their relationship.
Along with Brighton and Caden, this series has another favorite of mine.. Tink. He is so perfect! So adorable and hilarious! And of course characters from the previous Novellas and the Wicked series join us on this adventure.
TQ was a short and sweet book that got to the point. It is a fast read obviously. I feel as if some parts were a bit rushed and could’ve definitely has more to the story or scene. JLA still did a wonderful job with the book.
This book did leave me with some questions that I’m hoping will be answered in *hopefully* another book series or set of Novellas since this one is finished. But I’m not sure what JLA has planned.
The Queen was a five star read for me despite the few issues I pointed out above because the point of the book was to give the readers closure. There were so many funny and sweet moments that I’m excited to dive back into a reread of the Trilogy!
**This might have spoilers**
The queen is the continuation and the last book in Wicked trilogy. The ending of The king was shoking becacuse Brighton not only survive but she was pregnant as well..
In The queen we can see how Brighton has to think the best for her baby and what this will mean for the Summer Court if Caden knows about the baby.
So we can say that Brighton is not selfish. We can see how she leaves her desires of having a life with Caden. But as much as she tries to go away, Caden (our hot king) is not believing in her reasons, he knows she loves him and that she is hidding something.
But for Caden, nothing is impossible, he will fight for Brighton. His selected Queen and his baby.
On the other hand, we were waiting for the evil Queen to come back and have this huge fight but that doesn´t happen. But we discover the mistery of the yough people disappering and who is the real traitor inside the summer court.
The good thing is that at the end we have our happy ending. We can see our main caracthers in love, and their baby. And of course we can´t forget about Tink!!!
I really love it
I’m so sad this little novella series is over! I loved Caden and Brighton. Their love is heartbreakingly beautiful. The whole Wicked series is worth reading over and over again!
Thank you Social Butterfly and the author for a complimentary copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
The Queen
A Wicked Novella
By: Jennifer L. Armentrout
REVIEW
I am a fan of the 1001 Dark Nights Novella Collection, and it’s always exciting to read a new addition. The Queen is a Wicked Novella by Jennifer L. Armentrout and the last in a trilogy that included The Prince and The King. This story is a wrap up for Caden and Brighton because readers need some kind of closure. I was impressed by the maturity of the characters. Caden changed from zero to hero, thank goodness, becoming an unrecognizable version of himself. I mean that in a positive way. Brighton is carrying a life altering secret and wishes to withhold disclosure to Caden. Selfless or stupid? I think she is too good for her own good. This is a fast short read, so I won’t go into great detail. Will these two get a happy ending or heartbreak? What matters most? If you want to know, read The Queen!
Before diving into The Queen, I had to look back at my reviews for The Prince and The King. It’s been quite awhile since I was in this world. Once I had done that, I couldn’t wait to get back to Brighton, Caden and the rest of the crew. The King left us hanging and I needed to know more!
I don’t want this review to be too long, because it is the third novella and I would give away way too many spoilers by talking about everything in detail. Again, we got a novella filled with twists and turns, moments that made me not want to put it down, humor and amazing characters.
There’s still a threat to the Summer Court and a chance that the world will end if certain things don’t happen. While there was a lot of action, it was also focused on a certain aspect that made me feel some of this book was a bit rushed. That being said, I did enjoy every moment and I loved the epilogue.
If you’re looking for a great cast of characters, please pick this series up! You won’t want to let them go. I enjoyed them all and will miss being in this world. I also love all of the humor and references to recent pop culture. This author doesn’t disappoint!
What can I say, I Flove Jennifer Armentrout’s words and I know this was supposed to be the conclusion buuut I feel like she’s going to come out and say Got Yah! And surprise us with another book that has all our favorite characters and have a more conclusive wrap with the fairy door and Morgana.
With that said I loved Camden and Brighton’s relationship and the fact he didn’t give a chocolate fudge that Brighton was part human he loved her and didn’t care who knew. He was gonna be with his woman. Brighton grew so much and was ready to take on anything that came her way even when she thought there wasn’t a future with Caden and even got some pretty great advice from our favorite Tink! I just loved how they found there future with each other and wrapped up their Happy ever after
*I received an ARC for an honest review*
What an amazing ending to this world. Wicked it one of my favorite series of Jennifer L Armentrout and these novellas have been such an amazing addition to it. I absolutely love Brighton and her strength and kindness. I have loved watching her change and grow and I absolutely love her. She is such a great heroine and so different than many of the other heroines we have read about before. Caden is such a surprise to me as I never thought I could love him and holy smokes I do. I love how he is and what he struggles with. This was such a great story and this ending was awesome. I could not put this down. This is a MUST for every Jennifer L Armentrout fan and for everyone else COME ON AND JOIN THE PARTY!!!
What a queenly ending to Caden and Brighton’s story! It was so wonderful to be back in this world and reacquaint with the whole gang. I missed them.
After the ending of The King I was so eager to start with this story that I devoured it in one sitting. It was just unputdownable and full of heart. So many emotions flowing from the pages in this book that it was hard to keep my eyes dry at certain parts.
It was remarkable to watch how both Caden and Brighton evolved as characters and the significant growth in their relationship. The change was so noticeable in the end. I was in awe with Brighton’s selfless personality and the internal strength she carried and the ability to overcome everything thrown at her. And although I wasn’t quite sure about Caden with the start of the series, I was head over heels in love with him when this book ended. He was so loving and caring in here – absolutely dreamy.
The whole book was really emotional but the little parts with Tink were such a great balance with their humor and his colorful personality. I’ve never fallen so hard for a secondary character before and this one stands so bright in my book. I wish he had his own story so I could enjoy a whole book full of his awesomeness.
The ending was so intense and full of unexpected twists. But that epilogue wrapped the whole series so nicely.
I loved it so much and secretly hope this is not the end of this unique world and pray we’ll see more from these amazing couples and have a peek in their lives one day again soon.
I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
One of the best endings I could ever imagine for this couple! Caden and Brighton deserved this ending with all the laughs and fear and uncertainty but also the power of knowing that your loved ones will be by your side. I enjoyed seeing Brighton growing as a character and Caden was just perfect. Some other Fae could also get some good lessons from him!
Ok, Tink was hilarious as always and the rest of the cameos offered a good memory from the Wicked series.
I don’t feel ready to leave this world just yet. I feel that there’s going to be something that will bring us back to New Orleans and these amazing characters! And the ending of this novella series was just sweet!
