With her thirtieth birthday looming, Emma Harrison finds her biological clock clanging and the elusive knight in shining armor yet to appear. She’s running out of options, especially after her gay best friend backs out from being her sperm donor. Of course, there’s always a sperm bank, but Emma fears a donor mix-up might impregnate her with the spawn of Satan.
Resident company womanizer, Aidan … womanizer, Aidan Fitzgerald, is used to always getting what he wants, especially in the bedroom. When Emma spurns his advances at the company Christmas party, he’s determined to have her no matter what it takes. After Aidan learns of Emma’s predicament, he is quick to offer a proposition that will benefit them both. He will father Emma’s child, but she must conceive it with him naturally. Not one for hook-ups or casual sex, Emma is reluctant to take him up on his offer, but his charm, coupled with her intense desire for motherhood, wins out.
Soon their baby-making sessions become more than just physical. Aidan can’t seem to walk away from her while Emma begins to wonder if Aidan could be the one. But can Aidan leave his past behind to become the man Emma needs him to be?

The story was very good, but there is no ending. You have to buy another book.
Ends with a surprise cliffhanger. This should have been announced with book description.
Read 2 books to finish the story.
Only thing that made me only give this book three stars is that story didn’t really finish, had to buy following book for whole story
Love Kate Ashley books
I enjoyed the book but was very frustrated that the author didn’t finish the story in this book. I dislike having to get another book to find out what the final ending is.
I’ve read this entire series and its great. I will recommend to all my friends.
Loved the book, but it ended abruptly and you have to buy the next book to find out what happened. I wouldn’t have even started this book if I had known I would have to purchase all three books!
The Proposition
Katie Ashley
This is a must read story. I love when two people that you know could be perfect for each other collide and try to figure it out!
I fell in love with Emma right from the first chapter. She has her share of heartache but wants a family of her own. She is willing to get it even if she is to make it happen on her own. She is a wonderful mix of kindness, smart, sexy and giving she is beautiful inside and out.
Aidan is our quintessential player. He has a fear of commitment. As we read further we soon discover that he has much more to him than he shows on the surface. He had so many layers to him that I couldn’t wait to keep reading to see who he really was.
We realize that he isn’t sure how to make a relationship work and Emma isn’t pushing him. The characters were very well written they had depth and made you fall for them. I couldn’t wait to learn more about them. They made me laugh , cry and root for them to figure everything out! I loved watching them grow as individuals and as a couple. Katie did a beautiful job with them. I can’t wait for the next one.

I liked the characters so much that I ended up buying the whole series to find out what happened.
It was kind of slow moving.
Cliffhanger! I hate reading a full length novel to get to the end have no resolution, and be told you have to read another book—who knows maybe a series to get to a resolution! The story is interesting, although no story conflict until the end.
Not a stand alone book, get the end and it just ends. You have to buy the next book to see what happens.
I liked the book, but I did not like that it abruptly ended and I had to buy the next book, The Proposal, in order to see how the story ended. I feel that the author should let the reader know that we have to buy 2 books in order to get the whole story,
I was caught up in the love story…too bad the story doesn’t end in the book so I’m left hanging’
I really enjoyed this book but was unpleasantly surprised when it stopped before the story ended. I dislike having to buy another book just to finish the story.
I didn’t realize this was only part 1 of the story. I also had trouble wanting them to make their relationship work after his “ break down” hopefully he redeems himself in part 2
Confusing as to the next book related to those same characters
I was disappointed in how quickly she tried to lure him into a relationship rather than keeping it “business” for a bit longer. After all, she promised in the beginning that it was purely an agreement but then she gets upset when he tries to pull back. I was disappointed in the main female character as her feelings were confusing- trying to quickly trap her man rather than being honorable about the agreement.
Excellent book! Could not put it down! So I ordered The Proposal!!
