With her thirtieth birthday looming, Emma Harrison finds her biological clock clanging and the elusive knight in shining armor yet to appear. She’s running out of options, especially after her gay best friend backs out from being her sperm donor. Of course, there’s always a sperm bank, but Emma fears a donor mix-up might impregnate her with the spawn of Satan.
Resident company womanizer, Aidan … womanizer, Aidan Fitzgerald, is used to always getting what he wants, especially in the bedroom. When Emma spurns his advances at the company Christmas party, he’s determined to have her no matter what it takes. After Aidan learns of Emma’s predicament, he is quick to offer a proposition that will benefit them both. He will father Emma’s child, but she must conceive it with him naturally. Not one for hook-ups or casual sex, Emma is reluctant to take him up on his offer, but his charm, coupled with her intense desire for motherhood, wins out.
Soon their baby-making sessions become more than just physical. Aidan can’t seem to walk away from her while Emma begins to wonder if Aidan could be the one. But can Aidan leave his past behind to become the man Emma needs him to be?

This is about Emma, the woman who lost everyone who’s dear to her and wanted to have a baby of her own since her bio clock is ticking and she couldn’t meet a nice man. She begged her gay bff to donate his sperm but he later back out when his partner objected. That’s when man whore Aidan came in when he heard about Emma’s plan from her bff. Instead of going to the clinic, Aidan suggested that they conceive naturally.
What’s going to happen whe Emma start to fall for Aidan and he is very scared of commitment?
I couldn’t stop reading this book.
PS: This is a two book series.
Beautiful. Beautifully written. Beautiful storyline. Beautiful love. The characters were realistic. The male protagonist was human, he showed real emotion which is often hard to find in this genre and therefore much appreciated. The female protagonist is a gem. I enjoyed witnessing their love blossom. I really enjoyed their story and am considering read the final two books in the series.
Emma is nearing her 30’th birthday and wants to have a child but is afraid of the traits of an unknown donor. She makes an agreement with Aiden….a known womanizer who is handsome and smart and works for her company to have a baby with him, but there would be no contact after the baby is born. What happens to the agreement when the pregnancy progresses??
Very steamy. A page turner
So, so good!
I normally hate books that end in a cliffhanger. However, I didn’t hate this one. I am not sure if it is because of how it ended or what. But I liked it and yes will buying the next book.
Emma Harrison is a beautiful, 30 year old advertising exec who feels her biological clock is running out of time. Her donor friend has backed out & now she needs some help. Enter the hotness named Aidan Fitzgerald, her company’s newly promoted VP, who has quite the man-wh*** reputation. This book was quick & to the point.
Emma: I want a baby.
Aidan: I’ll be your stud horse.
Emma: I don’t know… are you sure?
Aidan: Yup, but we must conceive it naturally.
Antics ensue… It was a fun read but I very much despised Aidan at the end (obviously anyone would). I just knew what was coming & tried to prepare myself but I was still left fuming. When I finished this book, I quickly “ran over” to the kindle store & bought The Proposal, the sequel to The Proposition.
Didn’t like to have to buy 2 book to finish story.
I skipped much of this book–steamy and too much sex for me. What bothered me the most was there no ending for me. And I would have to read the next book to find out how it ended. I will not be reading any mor books by this author.
I received this book for free and really enjoyed it. Just so you know, it is not a stand alone book so if you get it for free like I did you will have to buy the 2nd book in the series in order to get the full story.
Great storyline, with excellent characters. The book made you feel what the characters were going through and you were able to connect to the story. It definitely kept your interest.
It was very good. I’m sorry it didn’t tell you that you had to read The Proprosal in order to finish the book. I may not reading anything else by this author.
don’t like books that require another book to finish the story.
It kept me wanting to read & see what would happen next.
this was ok- nothing really different from other romances. Did not resolve and you were encouraged to buy the next one to see how it would end. I didn’t buy the next one and was a bit unhappy that I had spent the time to read the book without an ending.
This is part I of a two part book. This part is well written and enjoyable to read. It is very disheartening to have to find the second part. Purchasing the book is ridiculous and I haven’t found a library that carries it so I guess I won’t find out what happens in The Proposal.
Interesting. Couldn’t put it down.
I did enjoy this book until the end. I dont like it when you have to buy another couple of books to find out how the story ends!
no ending. do not like those books that lead you on. to much filler.
I didn’t care for the female character as she got on my nerves. Nevertheless, the book was easy to read and enjoyable.
