I admit that there were times that I got frustrated at both of these men. They kept either overprotecting the other one or jumping to conclusion and thinking the worse. They had a serious late of communication. I think the whole idea of keeping a secret for over 4 years by Gage just made everything so much harder. I like that at least Knot My Problem stopped being a jerk long to tell the truth and now I feel bad for him and want him to have something good happen. I’m glad they finally got it all worked out but I hope the whole family learns to be open with each other going forward.
Listened to the audio version and it was very well done and enjoyable to listen too.
This Single Dad Support Group series has become one of my top 5 series of all time. The Proposal is book 2 and follows Gage – the youngest of the Single Dads and someone I have the softest spot for. Gage is simply the most adorable and devoted man who loves with his whole heart. This book is pivotal to the whole series and sets up many other plot points along the rest of the books. The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo is exquisite and he brings Gage, Bo, Aaron and Knot to life in ways my mind didn’t have capacity for.
I liked the storyline and it had all the elements for a good story; love, challenges and lots of feelings.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good dialogues
The chemistry between the main characters is always sizzling and there’s no doubt that it’s love.
Secondary characters is intriguing and I can’t wait to hear their stories
I love this series.
Narrator:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted the audio version of this book.
This is book 2 in the series, but it can be read/listened to as a stand alone. The guys from the group pop up in the chats but it’s not necessary to read/listen to The Problem before this one.
Gage has been keeping a secret from the love of his life, a 4 year old secret who is now sick. When Aaron surprises Gage on his return from studying abroad, Gage is forced to admit to Aaron everything. Everything he had todo to keep Beau a secret, while Aaron studied. But gage forgot one little thing, that causes Aaron to run, and then they find out just how many secrets have been kept from Aaron all these years.
I loved The Problem, I really did, gave it 5 stars. But this one, while still really REALLY good, doesn’t have the same . . .pull? maybe? It just doesn’t hit the heights Alex and Laurence did, is all.
Gage has struggled all these years, he had to so Aaron could finish his studies, get a job and come home. To Gage and to Beau. Gage knows he will have to come clear with Aaron, about what he did, and why he did it, and he does, right from the start of their new life together. Aaron, while shocked and saddened by what Gage did, understands WHY.
There are a huge amount of misunderstandings between these two, I just wanted to bang their heads together, I really did! That is pretty much their whole book: one misunderstanding after another. There is no real break up/make up, it all just slots into place once they manage to get the whole picture available to them!
Loved the streaming scene!
It just didn’t hit *THAT* spot, you know? Not as well as The Problem did.
Some hints as to future books too.
Michael Ferraiuolo narrates again, and I cannot fault his narration!
Throughout, he gets across gage’s torment at what he needs to tell Aaron. He gets across Aaron’s shock at finding out he is a dad, and then his joy and then his utter horro when they find out just how sick the little boy is.
All the voices from the guys in the group are consistant from book one, and I can’t wait to get back into their lives as they all fall for their perfect man.
so, because the book didn’t quite hit it for me, but the narration DID. . .
4 stars for the book
5 stars for the narration
4.5 overall

Audiobook review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5
This one had some surprises I didn’t see coming.
I can’t say it enough, I love, love, love Michael Ferraiuolo’s voice. He gave another outstanding performance of The Proposal. This is book two in the Single Dad Support Group series but it can be read as a standalone. Characters from book one do appear so you might enjoy The Proposal even more if you read The Problem first.
Both of the MCs in this story make some choices that come back to bite them later. In any relationship, communication is key and these two don’t do that very well at all. There are lots of feels in this story and most of it is really sweet. But when Gage and Aaron get it on watch out!
Once again, I love how Michael Ferraiuolo reads the group chats. He makes it easy to know who is speaking and his different character voices really enhance the dialog between the chat participants. I’m looking forward to enjoying the rest of this series.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
First, this book, even though it is the second in a series, can be read as a standalone. However, it is part of an overall omegaverse arc that takes place in in Aurora, Colorado. There are overlapping characters and references to previous events in past books. The Single Dad Support Group series is a spinoff of the His Command series which was, in turn, a spinoff of the Rutledge Brothers series. The Rutledge Brothers series chronicles the trials and tribulations of escaped and rescued omegas from an illegal brothel. His Command series expands the universe and introduces characters who both helped the rescued omegas or were previously victimized themselves. The Single Dad Support Group focuses on the children from the His Command series. Once again, you don’t need to read these books in order to enjoy “The Proposal,” but if you enjoy “The Proposal” I highly suggest you check them out.
Gage is an omega with a secret. A life changing, plan altering secret. The kind of secret that seems impossible to keep, but keep it he does. Even though keeping this secret nearly destroys Gage and forces him to live in poverty and despair. But some sacrifices are worth it. Aaron, Gage’s one, true love, is worth keeping this secret. Because five years ago, Aaron got Gage pregnant right before he left to go study abroad, and Gage has never told him. But now Aaron’s completed his PhD and he’s back home, and standing right on Gage’s doorstep, about to meet the son he never knew he had.
I’ll be honest, my heart was beating so hard throughout this book. There were times I had tears in my eyes, and times when I was laughing out loud. Make no mistake, there’s angst in this book, (Gage definitely shares a lot of problematic traits with his omega father, Gabriel, one of the main characters from “Heal”, book four in the His Command series), but there’s also so much love and determination. The love Aaron and Gage have for each other is on the epic scale – the lengths they will go to protect and support each other, even when misguided, is extreme and breathtaking. I also loved the family and child elements in the story.
The writing quality was great with beautiful character growth and fantastic plot pacing – everything felt like it moved so naturally. At no points did I find the plot dragging or scenes moving too fast. There was also so much emotion in this story, and it was all written with so much care that it felt natural. Plus, the sex scenes were so unique and steamy. I was fanning myself at a few scenes they were that hot.
Michael Ferraiuolo narrated the audiobook, which means it was beyond fantastic. Michael has quickly made his way to the top of my audiobook narrator lists. His character voices are perfect and consistent, with a smooth and pleasant tone, yet unique so I could differentiate between each character. There was a lot of different emotional ranges in this book, and Michael performed them all perfectly. In fact, his performances brought me to near tears at point. I cannot recommend this audiobook highly enough.
Omega Gage has kept his son Bo a secret. He didn’t want to ruin the dreams of his Alpha, Aaron by making him drop out of school overseas in order to take care of him and the child. For nearly 5 years, the two men have loved each other long distance – Gage hiding the fact they created a child together even from their parents and siblings so that he could “stay strong” for Aaron. The only people who knew were 2 close family friends and his online Single Dads Support Group. But Bo is sick and Gage doesn’t know what to do now.
Aaron comes back home to find a few surprises. But his love for Gage will conquer all, right?!?.
The Proposal offers an entertaining tale of young love and mistakes a young couple can make by miscommunicating. I liked that there is some nods to previous books and we get a glimpse into what happened in their stories.
I recommend this book.
Michael Ferraiuolo does a fantastic job bringing the story to audio listeners. Voicework full of personality and feeling, smooth recording add to the enjoyment value.
My heart broke for Gage in this book. He’s been so strong for so long. His love for his son Bo is palpable. As for Aaron, he hasn’t had it easy being away for so long. Watching this story unfold truly broke my heart. The emotions were truly palpable.
