I can’t save myself from the Cloister, and maybe I never could. The Prophet grows more dangerous by the day. His delusions are steeped in blood, and if I’m not careful, that blood will be my own. Despite the growing risk, I still continue the search for the truth, no matter if the thorny path eventually twists back to Adam, guilt in his dark eyes. I’ve seen glimpses of his soul, and I know there … there is more to him than the monster, but it’s so hard to reach him. I knew when I came here that I’d have to fight, I just didn’t realize the war would be waged on so many fronts.

Five twisted & outstanding stars! The Prophet consumed my soul and twisted my insides.
Holy m*rde! I am dead! Celia Aaron killed me in a twisted way with this fabulous masterpiece! She delivered an intense, all-consuming that had me swoon! The Prophet is the second installment of The Cloister Series and let me tell you this is so different to anything I have read before.
Brainwashing, sexual depravity, drugged fruit and virgins maidens in white plus the religion fanaticism is a total trip for readers like me. The ones who craves a wild ride filled with turns and twists that you can’t ever imagine to happen. This is a dark twisty suspense romance tale of the very best kind. Nothing can compete with this book. It shows us the worst part of the cult. It shows us the final depravity of everything. The real purpose of all the maidens in the Cloister. It is dark, obscure, somber, shadowy and totally sick.
I literally devoured this book in one day. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. I left everything and ignore everybody until I finish this grand chef-d’œuvre littéraire! The Prophet consumed my soul and twisted my insides.
This book really made me wonder if sick people can do such depraved things like women trafficking, sexual training, manipulation; all because of power and money. Using religion as a weapon for murder any will.
Adam and Delilah are falling deep into a strange feeling that will lead them to start a journey that will end near to freedom. Delilah has endured the worst kind of hurt in hands of the ones who claimed to be in grace. She is carrying on with her training to please a possible suitor for her. She broke at some point but her desire to avenge the death of her friend will keep her sane. That and Adam. He has marked her. From the day of the bonfire, she knew she was his. Something about his tormented eyes drawn her to him.
Adam is not only tormented by his demons. He is a dark angel stained by innocent blood. He has lost faith. His eyes have seen the evil. His father is the evil personified. The only way to finish what The Prophet did is to murder him. He is dark but deep inside him beats a tender heart that is already given to the beautiful pale angel who has calmed the torment that is forming inside him. She is the one to be his. Delilah is his redemption.
I was too excited to read the progression of Delilah and Adam’s relationship. It started as a dark tale of submission and dominance. And now it is something deeper and strong. Something forbidden and tempting.
I can feel something big is cooking in Celia Aaron’s mind. She is a talented lady that always exceeds the expectations of her readers. Behind all the torture and depravity is a raw romance story between two fierce souls. Ms. Aaron has done it again! This series are a must read for all the dark romance lovers but be sure to start to read The Maiden first because these book are not stand alones. They must be read in order.
I urge you to start the series right now because anything written by Ms. Aaron worth the shot. Her writing is darkly addictive. Be prepared for a decadent, dirty and outstanding series. All related to this talented lady. Five stars are not enough. Let’s start with a constellation!
5 OH MY GOODNESS STARS!! What a ride Celia Aaron is taking us readers on and I never want to get off. The first two books in this trilogy have been a dark heaven, so tasty and perfect. Delilah and Adam’s story picks up from the first book and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. I need Book 3 now, I am dying a slow death and need to know what happens. If you love darkness Celia Aaron’s is the queen, her writing is evil and beautiful. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
What the…
That is what I kept thinking while reading book 2 of this titillating yet harrowing tale.
I’m not sure I’ve consciously felt such a complex mix of emotions like I have here. On one hand I am in suspense and a state of anxiety wondering what shocking event will come next. On the other hand – the growing affection and bond between Adam and Delilah is completely arousing. I feel despair one moment because of some cruel, unjust punishment or act. And a chapter later one of these characters shocks the hell out of me by doing something protective and self sacrificing and I can’t help fall a little more in lust with them. Several times I simply closed my kindle and spaced out. Incapable of interaction while I just wrapped my head and heart around what I had just read. Plenty of unexpected twists that completely blew me away. Things I never would have anticipated. I have to give props to this amazing author for her extreme creativity and amazing writing.
Celia you are absolutely killing me – but I am loving every emotional, gut wrenching, f’d up moment of it. Not sure what this says about me as a person. My soul may be turning black in disgust at my pure enjoyment of this series. I’ll repent later. This IS undoubtedly the best series I’ve read and we’re only 2 books in. I am on the edge of my seat – so excited for book 3.
I am sleep deprived but have finished this book and absolutely need more! This book builds upon The Maiden and I felt it was an even better read than the first. This book has some great plot twists that I never saw coming along with building upon the emotions of Adam (*swoon*) and Deliliah. This is probably one of the more difficult books I have reviewed as there really is so little that can be said without revealing too much.
Get ready for an amazing ride that had me gasping, yelling and running with all the feels of this dark and delicious read. Truly an amazing read even though I am over here twitching because I need more.
The Prophet by Celia Aaron is book Two in The Cloister Trilogy. This book continues the story of Adam and Delilah, so you do need to read the previous book “The Maiden” first.
This book starts right where the other one left off. Delilah has been caught from trying to escape and now left to be punished. Although Adam has to go through with the punishment he is working to be with Delilah. Adam hates his father and what he is doing especially to Delilah.
This book and series is one that you cannot stop reading. Yes, it is a Dark Romance but it is one very exciting one! This does have possible trigger issues and does end to start the next book in their story.
Once again Celia has taken us on a fuxxed up terrifying journey back into the world of the Cloister.
Where boundaries don’t exist and nothing is off limits.
There’s debauchery, cruelty and depravity around every corner and all in the name of a self indulging Prophet.
There are more revelations and secrets revealed in this book, I pleased we get more background on the characters.
I’m still very much team Adam I loved him in The Maiden and I really felt for him during parts of this story.
I’m rooting for him and Delilah their connection is getting stronger even though there are secrets between them.
They are each others Anchor in a sea of uncertainty.
After reading this I’ve decided most of these characters are bat sh!t crazy. Just when I thought I had some people figured out and felt empathy towards them, they go and twist things around so i don’t know who to trust anymore.
The unpredictability of it all is very refreshing and exciting. I like being surprised when I didn’t see something coming.
Another fantastic POW in the kisser ending that has left me cursing and desperate to know WTF is going to happen next.
These books are sinfully addictive, shockingly realistic and I’m more than ready to be taken to The Church.
The queen of dark mysterious romance is back with book two in The Cloister series. This story takes off right from the end of book one (The Maiden) and takes the reader on another dark adventure. This time Delilah and Adam are working together to fight the danger. Adam is so much more that I even could have thought, he has heart, passion and desires and they don’t all relate to Delilah. I loved the action aspect of this story as well as the secrets that were revealed. The flow of this story, and the authors writing style, sucks you into the story, you become one with it, and you experience it as if you were there all along. Filled with everything you wanted from book one and some things there were no way of knowing you wanted, this story is the perfect companion to the series. I cannot wait for book three, The Church! After that one I am going to binge read them again all at once! This is a story series that you will be reading again and again for years to come. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
