Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.
The tourists think it’s all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.
Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.
Pandora Williams is Nocturne Falls’ most successful real estate … Williams is Nocturne Falls’ most successful real estate agent. And least successful witch. Her magic never has the intended outcome, but she’s learned to live with that. Mostly. Yes, it sucks, but what can she do? Then a hot new neighbor shows up and suddenly her magic works. Very cool, but very suspect. Especially since he’s a total non-believer.
Cole Van Zant likes practicality and absolutes. Things he can see and touch. So not magic. But when his teenage daughter insists she’s a witch—and they’re now living in a town that celebrates Halloween every day—he needs help. Of the witchy variety. Thankfully, his sexy neighbor buys into all that hocus pocus.
Enlisting her help seems like a great idea until spending time together reveals a supernatural surprise about who Cole really is. A secret even he didn’t know. Could Pandora and Cole really be meant for one another or is their attraction too much to believe?

The Professor Woos The Witch is the fourth in the Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter. This is a sweet and fun series. I love the concept of a town celebrating Halloween 365 days a year where it’s paranormal creatures can be themselves.
This is a slow burn romance. I like that it’s not insta-love like the previous installments. Cole and Pandora have an intense attraction, but they have an uncertainty on whether to pursue it. I liked how their relationship came about.
Cole is the sexy smart college professor with a teenage daughter. He’s been having issues with his daughter; because she believes she’s a witch and he doesn’t believe in anything paranormal. He’s a muggle!! ^_^ Oh boy does he get a surprise when he moves to Nocturne Falls. He also finds out some family secrets and so, his life is about to get complicated and confusing.
Pandora is a witch with broken wonky magics. She’s also the local real estate agent. She wasn’t expecting to fall in love with the Van Zant’s family, but she did. She’s sweet, kind, and takes on educate Cole on the paranormal element for himself and his daughter. I really love the William’s family. Pandora’s mother and sisters are too much fun. They brought another element to the story that added to my enjoyment.
Now it’s not all happiness. Cole’s ex-wife shows up and adds some drama and issues to the equation. She’s defiantly a problem.
The Professor Woos The Witch is my favorite so, far in the series. I liked the sweet slow burn romance and heartfelt moments.
Rated: 4 Stars
When I began this series, I became hooked right away. I am a fan of women that take charge and are independent. This novel proved to be another great read. The characters are interesting and I read to find out more about them! Sometimes a series can fizzle out or not hold my interest any longer. Not so with this series. It is great to find out how these supernatural people find a place for themselves to be happy with a little danger too.
Pandora Williams is Nocturne Falls most successful real estate agent, but also their least successful witch. Her magic never has the intended outcome and she has learned to live with it. When a teenage witch and her sexy father enter Pandora’s life her quiet life with her cat quickly changes. Now she just has to convince Cole Van Zant that witches are real.
I really enjoyed Pandora and Cole’s story. They had a slow building romance that was a nice break from the previous instalove stories. Cole is a very straight-laced, regimented man who doesn’t believe in anything magical. So he struggles to deal with his teenage daughter and Pandora stating they are witches. It takes a major event to make him realize paranormals are real. Cole’s skepticism and doubts were very believable and actually made him a better character in my opinion. I get tired of characters always accepting paranormals instantly so Cole was a nice change of pace.
Pandora was a very sweet and kind woman. The Van Zant family unexpectedly burst into her life but she quickly fell for both of them. She was great with Cole’s daughter Kelsey and very supportive of her feelings. The William’s family were great additions to the story. I loved the family bond between them all and how supportive they were. I really hope we see more of the William’s in future books.
This might be my favorite of the series so far. I loved the slow building romance, the family bonding, and the dangerous magic that they deal with.
When I need a light read to perk up my mood I turn to the Nocturne Falls series.
Another great entry in one of my favorite series!
**Audiobook Review** Nocturne Falls celebrates Halloween year round to hide the fact there are supernatural beings living there. This one involves Witches and Familiars. I love how each book covers different couples, gives us a peek at previous couples, and involves a variety of supernatural creatures – vampires, familiars, witches, shifters, fae…I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next book! The Narrator does a great job, and the story keeps your focus! Loving this series.
A math professor that doesn’t believe in magic, who’s 13 years old daughter thinks she’s a witch and a real estate agent/witch. Things are not as they seem.
I loved this book. It was an easy to read page turner. I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the Nocturne Falls series. You won’t be disappointed.
Cole and Pandora were too cute! Kaley was a hoot for a pre-teen, but Pumpkin..who knew a fat cat could steal the show with such….finesse, grace, and appetite?! I loved the frank conversations between the H/h and Cole’s daughter Kaley and even Pandora’s family was hysterical, but the romance was my favorite part. Slow building and really sweet, and with a nice depth to make me happy. I am also really digging the residents of Nocturne Falls! The quirkiness, the range of paranormals and the supportiveness to each other, this series is the Halloween version of small town romance and charm!
