A missing man. A mysterious computer program – Even the people constructing it don’t know what it will do. Great Suspense
Computer programmers, police detective, some suspense and faith. That is what makes this a wonderful story. Harvey is a detective in The Priority Unit with his partner Edie. They caught a case of a mission programmer. Jennifer works at the company the missing gentleman is from. Something about Jennifer intrigues Harvey. Hard to put down.
This author is an excellent writer.

“It had almost become a matter of pride that he never let his work intrude in his personal life.”
But that was before Detective Harvey Larson interviewed Jennifer Wainthrop. As one of the computer software designers at Coastal Technology, Jennifer knew the man that been declared missing, and Harvey needed to gather any pertinent information that she could give him. He hardly expected one quiet conversation to make such a lasting impression.
Jennifer Wainthrop wonders whether or not the new software project that she has been assigned to is capable of infiltrating high level security. The partners have certainly been secretive about a lot of the details, especially after one of the program’s premier designer’s disappears. “Why did (Detective) Larson inspire calm and hope in her, when Owen and Channing’s (firm partners) speeches to employees only fuel speculation and dread . . .. ?”
As Harvey and Jennifer brave the idea of a personal connection, it becomes apparent that the missing persons case is larger and broader than originally implied; and while their sincere investigation of faith and a future is endearing, a cloud of doom precariously hovers overhead.
This is not only an interesting crime novel, but the characters’ intentional determination to discover whether or not God is “real”, and how their acceptance or denial of that fact might influence the rest of their lives, is beautifully displayed through-out this story.
I really liked the characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I didn’t want it to end. I loved the characters and their personalities, and I thought they were very realistic. I loved how the author wove their lives together and how they found the truth about God’s love independently yet together. I highly recommend!
I enjoyed reading this book
It was like watching a movie. So good, can’t wait to read another one of this author’s books.
A good read. If you like romance and mystery, then this is your book.
Plus, you don’t have to end with this book. I love series!
Awesome mystery/crime drama. Loved it!
This was an easy read but interesting. The interaction of the characters as they went through the process to discover faith in God gives insight to what some people go through. Add a little romance as two people learn to let go of past issues and a little mystery with the “who done it” and you have this book.
This book is the first in a series. It was kinda hard to get into, but once I connected with the characters I couldn’t stop reading. I just finished the fourth book that just came out yesterday. Now I’m waiting patiently for book five. Can’t wait to see who’s bones are in the basement. Great read!!
I loved the budding romance around a curious mystery. You never knew exactly what was happening, as even the charters didn’t seem to. It kept you wanting to keep reading and find out more, not only about the mystery, and the romance, but also their inquiry to find God.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the characters and the suspense kept you turning the pages.
Unfortunately there are some people who are unscrupulous when money is involved. They will “use” others to further their avarice. This book was scary and yet realistic in how this could even be deadly.
Thoroughly enjoyed the characters. Although a little predictable, it didn’t take away from my enjoying the story.
Was hard to put down. Good book
Very good read. Thoroughly enjoyed.
I have not finished but so far it is very good. I really like how the characters are searching and researching God.
I loved that the setting was a city in Maine with which I am familiar, and it is clear that the author knew the city well. A couple of sentences were missing words, which grates on me for publication, but overall great plot, characters, and familiar city!
Good story line, good characters. Kept me hurrying to “what’s next.” Also, although it can standlone, it made me want to spend more time with the characters and see what happens next.
