Matchmaking, mansions, and murder – just another Tuesday for this princess.Twelve years of tossing pizzas in his hometown in Alabama is like a dream come true for William Monroe, but his sister is ready to leave the Podunk place, desperate to find herself a man and get hitched. He’s not too thrilled to hear about the mansion she’s dragging him to, claiming it’s haunted with the spirit of Cupid, … with the spirit of Cupid, and it’s his job to make sure she doesn’t fall for the first guy who looks her way.
Winter’s been running the Frostville Murder Mysteries ever since she inherited a hefty sum of cash, wanting to give back in a fun and profitable way for her home city. Noticing a lot of puppy-eyed patrons, she gives herself the job of matchmaking, picking out the ones who seem best suited for one another. But when the outspoken and grumpy man from Alabama arrives with his eager-to-be-matched sister, her focus starts to falter, and she wants nothing more than to prove to Will that her mansion can feel like home, too.

This is such a fun, clever and sweet romance. I really enjoyed the unique setting of a murder mystery week in a massive mansion in Michigan. It is everything that Will Monroe does not like and makes him uncomfortable but, for the love and care of his sister, Maybelle he will play along. They are such an adorable pair that you can’t help but love them. Winter, the owner and operator of the mansion can not resist matchmaking and is torn between her role as Princess in the mystery and helping Maybelle find her true love which results in some interesting scenes…with Will. Love when you least expect it is the greatest role of all.
I recommend this highly entertaining book for the laughs, the fun, the surprises and the happily ever afters that follow.
I was excited about this book as it has pizza in the title of the book.
However, it missed the mark with me.
It was so cute though, and clean which is fine.
But there was a lot of stuff to just fill the pages I think. I did love the last quarter of the book, which that was what I was engaged with the most.
I would like to read book two as it’s about his sister!
Will and Winter meet when Bells makes Will go to Frostville so she could possibly meet “the one”.
Little did Will know how much he would enjoy himself, and meet Winter in the process.
He misses making his pizza, and when he gets home he realises that he’s missing an important ingredient from his life, and heads back to Frostville.
Some of my fave quotes from the book:
1. The door to the stairwell didn’t make a single sound as he pulled it open, and he had to hand it to whoever was in charge of the WD40. – Died laughing!! LOL!
2. “Spending so much time with a guy who permanently smells like pepperoni must get your pizza engine revving.” – It would def get mine revving for sure! LOL!
You will fall in love with the characters.
CI really enjoyed this book really fun read
I really like the way Ms. Mae brought the characters to life. The Princess and the Pizza Man was fun to read. I like her characters and the she included a bit of the Who Did It Murder/Mystery Game. Great read.
Mystery and story line that is ok. Hard to understand the why and wherefore of the murder/mystery week and how it works with matchmaking.
A good book, as it had interesting characters and small town instances. A very clean romantic book, which is something that is hard to find, so really enjoyed that. The “princess” and her “haunted” mansion was a silly setting, and her character was little too whimsical at times. Overall, an enjoyable read.
Sadly I just never got into this book. The characters did not grab my attention. I was like – mmm who cares
Enjoyable read
This was a good romance book, there is no sex, bad language or preaching. Winter and her murder mystery actor friends mingled with the guests and the murder mystery played out around the guests making for some funny scenes. Winter does funny things and Will is often caught up in her fun. I was a bit confused by Bells crying and wanting to go home early. Either I missed something or the reason was not adequately explained. As any good romance should every one gets a happy ever after.
3.5 stars. Interesting, a bit funny, but nothing special. It had a lot of potential but at the end it lacked endings. Something would start to happen and suddenly nothing was happening. If you want to relax and not think too much, read this one.
Ridiculous story overwritten in heavy-handed style. Attempt to write out what were presumably meant to be charming accents or colloquialisms was just annoying. I didn’t get past the 2nd chapter.
I love this story and these characters! So entertaining!
It’s just kind of cute
It is such a good read.
Easy piece of mind candy.
A delightful and charming read. Very clever.
Fun and Original Rom-Com
This is the first book by this author that I have read. It is sweet and clean and is full of good laughs. The characters in the story are not only believable, but they could be taken from my circle of friends. What a refreshing story! I look forward to reading more of this talented lady’s work!
