I love Jennifer Faye’s books and The Prince and the Wedding Planner is no different. This first installment from her new series, The Bartolini Legacy, has an interesting plot and twist. I love stories of a couple from two different worlds falling in love. It is almost always predictable but so delightful. I love it!
I am giving The Prince and the Wedding Planner five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy a quick, heartwarming and sweet romance.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Do you know what I hate about starting a new series? While the HEA is given, there are still some loose threads that aren’t resolved and now, I wait impatiently for the next book. Grrr…But I forgive Ms. Faye. She has written a great book with characters that I actually liked. Plus, the loose thread is a real doozy. And yes, Bianca doesn’t need the distraction of Leo but it sure is nice.
What Ms. Faye brings to the table this time is her ability to make royalty feel like everyday people. They have trouble with parents, resentment towards a parent that has died and the repercussions with the death of the parent. Plus, trying to please a sibling while keeping the peace. It’s tall order but Leo manages it. Not to mention wooing Bianca. Bianca, on the other hand, is dealing with your siblings and the death of their parents. Their will is tied to the thread that will be around throughout the series. I feel really bad for Bianca in the beginning. Finding the diary and then the whole will reading…and then getting the wedding of the year to plan? Wow. Just wow.
I loved Leo and Bianca as a couple. They are sweet together and compliment each other. There is a bit of a communication problem for a time but Ms. Faye doesn’t drag it out and they hash it out like adults. Bianca needs a little more convincing about the relationship and I completely understand her concerns. She has so much riding on Leo’s sister’s wedding and then dealing with the unknown at home and with her siblings, that would send anyone not wanting a relationship.
I can’t wait to read the other two books in the series. I will miss the Queen and how she deals with Bianca and Leo’s relationship but upward and onward. Again, Ms. Faye has written a beautiful book about two characters that you will like and want to keep in touch with. I just wish I didn’t have to wait.
I absolutely enjoyed reading about Bianca and Prince Leo, what a wonderful couple. I love the cover of this book it’s so cute. I am always excited to read Jennifer Faye’s books. This one ended up keeping me up all night to finish it. I love the secrets, the scenery and all the great things that they did. I really like the relationship with Bianca and her siblings family is important. If you like to read a nice comforting romance with a wonderful happy ending this book has it.
Can a commoner and a royal make a love match? In a small country we have a prince, Leo, who is in need of a wife and soon. He needs to take the throne and to do that he must marry. As he is also trying to keep the peace in the palace between his sister and his mother, he has hired Bianca Bartolini as his sister’s wedding planner.
After some tragic circumstances and devastating news that affects Bianca and her brother and sister, she must now prove she can make it as a wedding planner and to open her home’s Italian vineyard up for a wedding venue. Planning Prince Leo’s sister’s wedding is just the break that could make her business skyrocket.
This was a sweet romance that took you out of everyday life and into a life of royalty. Which certainly is no picnic at times but there is definately some advantages. Leo and Bianca instantly hit it off and of course there is an immediate attraction. What follows is should they or shouldn’t they follow their hearts desire and go against expectations or after his sister’s wedding go their own separate ways.
I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
A very charming story with a beautiful Tuscan (and Patazonian) setting with two people who are meant to be. I was really intrigued with Bianca Bartolini’s story arc (which should continue in books about her siblings). Their parents have recently passed and there is a big mystery in the making, plus a contest of sorts to see who can run their various businesses related to the estate the best. Bianca is a wedding planner and when Prince Leopold attends a wedding she plans, he wants her to help make his sister’s wedding what she wants, instead of their mother. The story kept my interest all the way to the very end and I can’t wait to see how things play out in the next books.

A Bartolini Legacy novel, #1

*REVIEW*
I’ve become a fan of Jennifer Faye’s simplistic warm hearted stories. The Prince And The Wedding Planner did not disappoint. This story is delightfully entertaining and charming. The premise is unique and fun, and I just love a good royal romcom. Bianca and Prince Leo are wonderful characters. Bianca is hopeful that her wedding planning business will grow tenfold once she successfully complets Princess Gia’s wedding. Bianca has concerns about her heritage, but nothing stops her ambition. She is very professional and serious about her job. Any attraction she might feel toward Prince Leo must be ignored. Prince Leo is charming, intelligent and steadfast in his royal duty. He doesn’t like the idea of marrying out of obligation instead of love, which he will have to do in order to become king. That is, of course, unless he finds a woman to love and be his wife before the deadline. Bianca and Prince Leo are quite adorable in close company, and I enjoyed reading their story. This was a fast read for me. In the end, it’s the kind of story that will make you smile!

A sweet connection! With the first book in her brand new The Bartolini Legacy series, Jennifer Faye takes us for a thrilling ride in THE PRINCE AND THE WEDDING PLANNER. He’s a Prince, she’s a commoner … but they can’t resist each other!
Bianca pulls our heartstrings with her family disconnect and hope that this job will be just the thing to put her wedding planning business on her family’s vineyard on the map. She never expects to be drawn to the prince who arranges her services for his sister.
Crown Prince Leopold is due to take a bride and assume the role of King any day now, but he can’t find a woman who measures up to Bianca no matter how much he searches. Could he dare break protocol and marry a non-royal?
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a dash of royal romance mixed in with a touch of family drama that is going to carry forward through the series. The characters were easy to connect with and I enjoyed getting to know them. Looking forward to more!
This is the first book in a new trilogy by Jennifer Faye. As you read the book the way everything is described makes you feel as if you are there. Leo is soon to be king and Bianca is the wedding planner he has hired for his sister’s wedding. He must choose a candidate to marry and announce his engagement by the end of his sisters wedding. He realizes he doesn’t want a candidate he wants Bianca. At the same time Bianca is also going through problems with her family but she grows closer to Leo. This is a fast paced book and even though parts are to be continued in the next book it doesn’t ruin this story.
Thank you in advance to the author, Jennifer Faye and Prism Book Tours for providing a complimentary review copy. A positive review was not required. All words and thoughts are my own.
While I’m not new to the Harlequin books, this is somewhat of a re-introduction to the Romance line. It is definitely my first introduction to the author.
This isn’t a clean read due to the fact of a one-time off-screen (or not depicted in the book) sexual encounter. Still, I found the book clean enough for myself. There is no foul language, and there are no Christian themes to it.
This is the first in what looks to be a trio of the Bartolini Legacy. The Bartolinis are a trio of siblings (Gia, Enzo, and Biance) from Italy whose parents have been killed.
This is Bianca’s story.
It begins with a funeral and then a wedding. Talk about a contrast. Still, the Bartolinis are now shaken by a secret their mother was hiding from them – one that puts their futures on the line.
While trying to make sense of it, Bianca is asked to be a wedding planner – that is no surprise she is one. But, this is no ordinary wedding, it is the wedding sister of Prince (soon to be King) Leopold, and Leo has drafted Bianca to settle the rift between the Princess (his sister) and their mother the Queen. And, Bianca’s job isn’t going to be easy, especially with her family’s name in question.
This was a sweet, fun, and whirlwind read. I didn’t even know it was over until I got to the last page. The author’s vivid writing brought the scenery to life. Bianca and Leo were such a perfect couple, and it was easy to see where the novel was going.
The romance element was absolute perfection – walks in the garden, private dinners, even a balloon ride. It wasn’t a sizzle, out of control romance’ so much as a comforting campfire type of romance. And, again … all with a Prince!
Leo was definitely believable as a royal prince – and a more modern one at that. I enjoyed his calm, yet commanding demeanor. His romance skills were off the chart.
There is enough drama to balance everything out as well.
This is a standard “happy ending” novel. Readers will be happy to learn that another royal wedding planner will be needed. Of course, this is also a “to be continued …” as well. The second book, is to be released this June. The readers will have to read that one as it details the results of the DNA test.
The author does a terrific job of keeping the pace going for the romance. This short, but addictive little read is the perfect beach day or even rainy day read.
I’m always excited when Jennifer Faye starts a new series. She writes relatable characters and vivid locations you want to visit.
Bianca is facing an uncertain future when Prince Leo hires her to plan a wedding, but Leo has ulterior motives: he’s drawn to the quiet, hard-working Bianca. Spending time together creates a bond that neither of them is prepared for, but if they can embrace it, they can each get what they want.
I read an advanced copy of this book
The Prince and the Wedding Planner is the start of a new series, The Bartolini Legacy, by Jennifer Faye. I loved, loved, loved this story and can’t wait to read what comes next.
You are gonna LOVE Leo! I know I did. The book begins with him trying to help his sister and mother negotiate his sister’s wedding planning – trying to keep the peace between the two warring women in his life! – and it just warmed my heart. He is attending a wedding of a friend is intrigued by the cool as a cucumber wedding planner, Bianca. Let the fireworks begin!
Bianca Bartolini and her family have just undergone a life-changing event and she is hurting. She is one of three siblings (that would be the stories about the Bartolini Legacy) and the over-arching story is about what has happened to them and then what comes next. I love all three of them, too, and even though they are well-off financially, they still have all the problems we mere mortals have. But they are family, the greatest tie-in of all.
Crown Prince Leopold of Patazonia is hurting, too, but he is trying to keep his own family together while finding a “suitable” wife so that he may assume the mantle of leadership of his country. I don’t want to give any spoilers but I will say that his mother is…let’s say…difficult. And I use the term loosely. Every one of these characters has reason to act as they do and that in turn makes the story.
I was NOT happy to finish because that meant there was no more to read. Seriously, wonderfully heartwarming love story. **Heart Sighs** Can’t wait for the next book!
Another wonderful story by Jennifer Faye! Bianca and Leo are great characters, and I loved the way they interacted. They are both dealing with issues that life has thrown at them, and they are coping the best way they can. The story was fast paced and had me turning the pages, devouring every word. I highly recommend this book, and I can’t wait for the next one!
The first in a new series by Ms. Faye..The Bartoloni Legacy..
Bianca Bartoloni and Crown Prince Leo of Patazonia are sweet together. However so different. She’s the Wedding Planner, and he’s soon to be King.
He meets her at a wedding and is impressed with her. So he hires her to help with his sisters wedding. He wants his sisters day to be a happy one. Right now its anything but. There mother the queen and his sister aren’t seeing eye to eye.
Leo talks his mother into giving Bianca a chance. It also comes with a catch. He most chose a wife, and announce it after his sisters wedding. Not easy because he’s spending time with Bianca. So he distances himself from her.
See what happens and buy the book.
So good. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Even though I am not a fan of stories about royalty, I knew if anyone could convert me , it would be this author. Sure enough , she did.
Bianca Bartolini is a young Italian wedding planner whose first solo wedding is for a very wealthy couple. There she meets one of the groom’s best friends, Prince Leo. The attraction is instantaneous, but each one is dealing with personal issues.
After her parents death, she’s not sure she’s a Bartolini, and she certainly has no royal blood in her. In the meantime, Prince Leo is expected to find a bride by the end of the year. An ancient decree he needs to follow in order to become King.
In addition to this, his sister is about to get married , and Leo wants to give her the wedding of her dreams, NOT that of his mother. With that intent , he hires Bianca. From thereon, life gets complicated for both of them.
This is an engaging story about fears, concerns, family, duty and of course, romance.
Another entertaining story by this talented author.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Good book. Bianca’s life has been upended. Her parents’ recent death left her and her brother and sister reeling. The terms of their parents’ will state that the sibling whose business prospers most will inherit, pitting the siblings against each other. Then Bianca discovers an entry in her mother’s journal, revealing that one of the siblings is the product of an affair. Bianca, who frequently feels out of step with her family, believes that she is the one. All three agree that a DNA test is the only way to know for sure.
Meanwhile, Bianca is determined to grow her wedding planning business. While working at her most recent wedding, Bianca meets Prince Leo, who asks her to assist in the planning of his sister’s wedding. Doing well at this wedding would give her business a tremendous boost.
I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Bianca and Leo develop. There were sparks between them from the moment they met. Leo whisks Bianca away to his home, counting on her to help bridge the gap between his sister and his mother’s ideas of the perfect wedding. He also hopes to get to know Bianca better. But Leo is caught between a rock and a hard place. To become king, he must be married, something he has been putting off. To gain his mother’s cooperation in working with Bianca, he agrees to pick a bride by Giselle’s wedding, or his mother will choose one for him. Leo doesn’t want a political marriage; he wants one like his sister’s. He can’t stop thinking about Bianca and finds any excuse to spend time with her.
Bianca is equally attracted to Leo, but with her possibly questionable heritage, she is sure that a fairy-tale ending is not possible. That doesn’t stop her from dreaming. There are some sweet scenes between the two of them walking in the garden, private dinners disguised as business, and my favorite, a hot-air balloon ride. I loved seeing Leo able to share his deepest secret with Bianca and how she helped him see it in a new way. I liked seeing Leo realize the depth of his feelings for Bianca and wanted to shake him when he allowed her fears to send her running. He redeemed himself quite nicely, standing up to those who might come between them. His big moment at the end was fantastic.
The secondary characters were terrific too. Bianca’s brother and sister were equally devastated by the loss of their parents and the questions raised by their mother’s journal. Even so, they were steadfast in their support of Bianca. I loved seeing them close ranks around Bianca after her return, and their protectiveness when Leo came looking for her. On Leo’s side, I loved his sister Giselle. She clearly adores her big brother and worries about him even amid her own happiness. She is strong-willed, which enables her to stand up to her mother in defense of her preferences. The queen was hard to like at first. Her strict adherence to tradition and her attitude toward Bianca made me wonder how anything would get done. I also didn’t like the way she manipulated Leo into picking a wife. I did soften toward her at the end when Leo talked to her about his father and Bianca.
