All Presidents have nightmares. This one is about to come true.A rocket ride of a thriller—the #1 New York Times bestselling blockbuster by President Bill Clinton and James Patterson, “the dream team” (Lee Child).Every detail is accurate—because one of the authors is President Bill Clinton.
The drama and action never stop—because the other author is James Patterson. Matthew Keating, a one-time … the other author is James Patterson.
Matthew Keating, a one-time Navy SEAL—and a past president—has always defended his family as staunchly as he has his country. Now those defenses are under attack.
A madman abducts Keating’s teenage daughter, Melanie—turning every parent’s deepest fear into a matter of national security. As the world watches in real time, Keating embarks on a one-man special-ops mission that tests his strengths: as a leader, a warrior, and a father.
The authors’ first collaboration, The President Is Missing, a #1 New York Times bestseller and the #1 bestselling novel of 2018, was praised as “ambitious and wildly readable” (New York Times Book Review) and “a fabulously entertaining thriller” (Pulitzer Prize–winning author Ron Chernow).

The dream team delivers.
Propulsive, exhilarating, and unnervingly believable. You won’t just read The President’s Daughter, you’ll devour it.
The President’s Daughter is a spellbinding thrill ride that grabs the reader tight on page one and doesn’t let go till the very last page. With lightning-paced prose and a plot that seems terrifyingly plausible, this is one novel you won’t be able to put down.
The President’s Daughter is a smart, taut, utterly fantastic roller coaster that had me holding on for dear life: a combination of every parent’s worst nightmare — a daughter abducted by a terrorist with a scimitar — and the inside world of Washington, DC (a place where, arguably, the knives are pretty damn sharp, too).
James Patterson is a great story teller on suspense. I love his books. I read the first book he did with Bill Clinton and couldn’t pass this second one up. I couldn’t put it down. Makes one think if that ever happens. I love the detail they put into their books. Can’t wait for another one.
Brace yourself for a thriller with inside secrets and riveting excitement that only the partnership of Patterson and Clinton could produce. From the president’s opening phone call to the politically tense ending, it’s a page turner with resonance for our times.
The President’s Daughter is an absolute rocket. Rich with authenticity only a president could deliver, this story of a father’s desperate search for his daughter will have readers burning through pages. Clinton and Patterson are simply the best in the thriller business
Goes from cliffhanger to cliffhanger!
I’ve read the two books authored by James Patterson and Bill Clinton. Both have been fast reads, enjoyable, entertaining, and filled with twists and turns. Now I’m ready to try the Louise Penny and Hillary Clinton collaboration.
The second of their co-written books is the newly released The President’s Daughter, by Bill Clinton and James Patterson. Another Presidential thriller, this time a former President and ex-Navy Seal whose daughter is kidnapped. A father uses all his nous and skills to rescue his daughter but there are other interested parties and much adventure to be had. Typical of Patterson’s style, there are brief chapters and truncated narrative, which is improved by the inside knowledge of the other author’s experience. Not as enjoyable as the first instalment, this action-packed venture makes for a three-star read rating.
THE PRESIDENT’S DAUGHTER by Bill Clinton and James Patterson is the second book in the standalone sequel to their 2018 thriller, THE PRESIDENT IS MISSING. Both are standalone suspense/political thrillers.
Every president and every parent’s nightmare is the abduction of a child. Ex-president and ex-navy SEAL, Matt Keating, and his wife, Samantha, are adjusting to life outside of the White House when the unimaginable happens—terrorists abduct their nineteen-year-old daughter, Mel.
While the book has a slow start, by chapter three, I couldn’t put it down. I particularly loved the relationship between Matt and Samantha that was touching and felt very real.
I felt there was repetition in many places, which, if cut, would have made for a much faster, enjoyable read. But even so, this was another edge-of-your-seat read that gives you an insider’s view of politics that kept me up late reading
Listened to the audio book. They had quite a cast of narrators – that made it interesting. The person who read the president was kind of boring at times – I think because the authors had too much woe is me and repetition in there. How many times did they state the new presidents chief of staff was her husband? Just tell me once!
After a devastating attack by American Special Forces on a terrorist hideout, the terrorist’s wife and daughters are left dead. The American President Matt Keating takes responsibility for the women’s death which paints a target on him and his family by a vengeful father.
Two years later, no longer in the White House, Matt’s daughter, Melanie is kidnapped by the terrorist and hampered by a hostile government, Matt must look to his own to try to find and rescue his own daughter.
This story is so exciting and the insight that the former president brings to story creates a realistic tale that could happen. The twists and surprises continue to the very last page.
I highly recommend this book.
I don’t really care much about all the different types of weapons and gun detail. The rest of the story was fairly good.
Thus is a fast read however I liked The President Is Missing more.
Loved it! Couldn’t put it down. The ending was perfect and satisfying.
This book could unfortunately be in this time and environment a possible occurence. The solution chosen by the authors might seem a little far fetched on one hand, however, with the political climate that exists today, might be a very necessary possibility. This book brings to light the far reaching consequences that can result from political decisions.
I love this book! Kept me turning the pages. Lots of twists and turns.
Too violent with too many coincidences or lucky breaks for my tastes.
Not as good as the first collaboration by this pair of writers, and I’m wondering if Mr. Clinton wants to be an action hero when he grows up.
