Thought provoking…
Moved very slowly. Once the story began it was interesting. Not as fast paced as I expect from James Patterson. Certainly could be a harbinger of future events which is frightening.
Very believable. Good characters. Excellent read.
The characters and story were totally believable. Scary to think that this could really happen. I could not put the book down, I got so involved in the book. Another great read by James Patterson.
Definitely could be true
This is the best James Patterson book I have read in years not including his
Alex Cross books which have been consistently good. His later books seem
to be getting boring to me but this one was hard to put down. I didn’t want it to
end. Let’s have more of this quality, Mr. Patterson. You’re back on my “Don’t
Miss” list.
A big James Patterson fan, I found adding Bill Clinton’s insight and experience in writing this thriller resulted in a great read!
This book has me on the edge of my seat right through to the unexpected end. The procedures and practices rang true and the pacing was at a fast clip and kept me guessing. It is unfortunate that the book was never discussed when the authors were interviewed on television shows. The personalities are those occasionally of the viral memes, but mostly of a real friendship built on strength and love of each other and humanity. Get this book, you will enjoy the ride!
I read a great many of James Patterson’s books. I enjoyed this one co-written by Bill Clinton who uses his experiences as President to add to the narrative.
Picked it up and I could not put it down.
We are not invincible to be hacked by any country.
READ IT! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
i was disappointed in this book. too much politics not enough action
Liked all but the last chapter. To preachy, to long. Kind of like a President Clinton speech, doesn’t know when to quit.
This book really made me think about the vulnerability of our country with our dependence on technology. It opened my eyes to the numerous number of minds it takes to run our nation, not just the president. I would highly recommend this book to people who enjoy action and those who have an interest in the structure of our government.
“Our democracy cannot survive its current downward drift into tribalism, extremism, & seething resentment. Today it’s “us versus them”. Politics is little more than blood sport. As a result, our willingness to believe the worst about everyone outside our own bubble is growing & our ability to solve problems & seize opportunities is shrinking. We have to do better. We have honest differences. We need vigorous debates. Healthy skepticism’s good. It saves us from being too naive or too cynical. It’s impossible to preserve democracy when the well of trust runs completely dry. Today the changes are happening so fast, in an environment so covered in a blizzard of misinformation, that our very identities are being challenged. The American dream works when our common humanity matters more than our differences and when together they create endless possibilities. That’s an America worth fighting—even dying—for. ( p. 468). This explains the hole Trump & his followers have dug for us. The solution: truly caring about each other & fulfilling the Constitution
Makes me realize how dependent we at on the internet
Well written and fun to read
I was surprised that I could tell some of the sections that were written by which author.
I could not put this book down! It is excellent! Make it a movie, please!
Held my interest but all the computer stuff is beyond me.
All I can say is,,Good job Bill!!
