Angelica… my heart beat…makes me feel alive.
No matter how strong he is, though, hell will claim me again.
Torq…
She’s too good to be true—too good for a man like me.
But I knew the first time I saw her, I needed to claim her and make her my own.
There are men evil enough to hurt the innocent, defile the sacred, like my Angel.
Those men must die.
I’ve already saved her once. I’ll gladly go to hell and back to do it again.

Holy Batman is what I was thinking when I read this book. I mean it had it all from sex slavery to big a$$ bikers to slimy parents.
We get to meet Angelica, she is the preacher’s daughter. She has had her whole life planned out for her and she does what her parents say never questioning them until one day she does just that. She goes out for a night of fun and what she ends up in is a whole heap of mess and needs to be saved. When she thinks all is lost she is saved by a dark and brooding man. She is intrigued by this stranger who saves her but just as quick as he is there he is gone.
Angelica decides she needs a change in her life and she moves to Reno where she changes her name and starts a new life for herself. That is when she decides to work at the strip club under her new name Angel. She gets up on stage one night and she sees the guy who has rescued her and she wants him to see her but it seems he does not remember her. Boy is she more wrong because he does remember her and he wants her in every way.
That is when trouble comes a knocking and Angel will be saved again by Torq and this time maybe there can be something between them if they escaped this trouble. The ending yes lord that ending is a cliffhanger and boy oh boy I need book two right now! This is a must read series!
I gave this Book a rating of 5 ’s

>-< >–< >–< >–< >–<>–< >–< >–< >–< >–< >–< >–< >–< What I liked/Didn’t Like: Angelica and Torq’s Romance is a bit of a love hate relationship especially when he figures out he has met her before. A Fast pasted read that was interesting to read and was over way to fast as I couldn’t put this book down once I started it.
After being attacked Angelic knows she has to live her life away from her parents, getting an apartment and a job with what she likes to call dancing, she decides she needs a new name and look so Angelica becomes Angel.
Angel can’t believe she see Dominic in the crowd, he’s not looking at her like when he first met her, his look is pure lust. She’s going to do what he did and not give him a second glance. Getting asked to do a private dance, she agrees, and heads to the bar, she’s cornered but sees her dark night come to save her again.
Feeling Dominic, she can’t believe they are flirting but she needs to know what he wants, and he says to know her better. Finally, she agrees to a private dance with him. Deciding that she had to tell him who she was, she uses his word and that nothing would change, she’s a preacher’s daughter band walks away.
Angel still doesn’t give Dominic time to explain, he walked away because he’s not good enough, he’s evil and she’s innocent and he tells her she should stay away from him. Torq continues to watch her dance although not talking to her, she’s knows things get out of control when they talk, her friend says to talk with her body.
Dominic only had one night with Angel, only to wake up to her struggling with a man and see Georgie, the man he saved her from before, and he’s determined to get her back with the help of his brothers, but will he be in time, before something happens to her, will her dark knight save her in time.
Can’t wait to read Amy and Iceman’s story.
After Torq rescues Angelica from a bad situation, she ends up returning the favour just for him to insult her and walk away. Sick of being stifled by her parents and apparently everyone she meets when they realise who her father is, Angelica packs up and leaves, ending up in Reno and becoming “Angel”. Co-incidentally, the place she lands her feet just happens to be owned by the Rough Riders MC; the club Torq is the Sergeant At Arms for. When Torq realises who Angel is, he faces a battle getting her to give him the time of day after the way he treated her, but when things finally start going his way, an enemy rears his head and throws everything into chaos.
This was a great first book for a series. Yes it may have taken it’s time to build up their relationship but I thought it worked well being like that. I would have preferred a bit more to the ending as it just sort if finished with no what happened after, but maybe we will get to find out the “after it happened” stuff in the next book. All in all, I enjoyed this and I give the Preacher’s Daughter 4 stars.
You can not get any more opposite attracts than a Preacher’s daughter and a bad ass biker. Being polar opposites I expected sexual tension and fireworks.
I wish their characters had developed more of a connection, I didn’t feel any attraction at all. I did not see why these two would be together.
When they finally get down to business it’s towards the very end of the book which I’m guessing is to set them up for the next book.
Unfortunately, although I like Angel and Torq this wasn’t any incentive for me to want to read the next one
Angelica “Angel” wants to escape from the brand of the preacher’s daughter and having her life planned out for her by her overbearing parents. She ventures out and lands right into the arms of a drug dealer and is save by her Dark Knight, Dominic. Yet when she tries to save her back he throws it back in her face. She decides to start a new life and when Dominic “Torq” a member of the Rough Riders MC who own the club she is stripping in, it turns her new found life upside down. This book was amazing. I absolutely loved the slow burn between Angel and Torq. The way they were connected just had me turning pages to find out what happened next. This book has some moments that are pretty brutal but they are part of Angel’s story and needed to be told. Great book and amazing story!!!
