Well Written Story
I am not sold on the Preacher yet, but will try a couple more!
Read the three book series in order. Great read
Started out well, but then story got too complicated, started to meander into an unbelievable car chase and I stopped reading.
A highly entertaining novel from a solid writer.
hard to start, but worth it in the end.
The story of Preacher started out strong, but stalled a bit. A good, but not a great book.
Could not put this down – kept me interested until the end and beyond. (Meaning, I thought about it even after I was done reading it and reading something else!) Great storytelling!
Believable characters, well developed and a solid plot line
Too wordy, and side stories unrelated to plot , just to make more pages.
I hate that the author died as I love his writing style. This is a great series of books and I love having a card shark as the narrator. Never knew poker could be so deep.
Excellent read!
Kept me guessing and in the dark
Ok read slow in the middle defiantly not a page turner.
Good read – ending was a little disappointing but overall a good book
If you like Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, you’ll like the Preacher!
This was well written and kept my interest from start to finish.
Excellent mystery/thriller. Lots of twists and turns. Just when you think the writer is going to swing the story one way, he swings it the other way. Then, the premise of the preacher being a gambling detective….. Great build-up of the characters and story line so that the readers understand actions and motives, etc.
A great variety of colorful characters. Held my interest until the last page. Well written. Thank you
Great main character..loved the poker angle too.
