With an ancient evil once again threatening to destroy everything she loves, Cassandra Ambrosia grows ever more determined in her search for the truth about herself, and at last she makes a discovery which could hold the key to finally breaking the curse on her family forever. As Cassandra continues her hunt for answers, however, her mates struggle to keep their headstrong little human safe from … safe from both her enemies and her own recklessness. Deo and Draco do not hesitate to correct Cassandra as thoroughly and shamefully as they feel it necessary, yet even when her cheeks are blushing crimson and her well-punished bare bottom is sore both inside and out, she cannot help delighting in the hard, dominant lovemaking of her two alpha mates.
But the final battle is drawing nearer with every passing day, and even a wolf and a dragon cannot overcome the foes who approach on their own. If the Ambrosia family hopes to survive, they will need more than just their skill and courage. They will need the power of the pack.
Publisher’s Note: The Power of the Pack is the third book in the Shifters’ Call series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

This book is for adult readers. I received this book in the mail.
It seems to be the 3rd in a series. I didn’t read the first two and even though I can tell I may have missed something here or there, it’s not enough to take away from the story.
This isn’t the typical shifter romance novels of “see mate, Insta love, sex” which a nice change. There are shifters and sex though. These shifters have come together because their pack is cursed. The Ambrosia family’s curse is to be plagued by demons, so they all come together in this huge castle to train and prepare for the final battle. The book has Dragon, wolves, magic, steamy scenes, but it has an actual story!
RECOMMENDED
This is a fast , thrill ride full of mystery, suspense and danger. It is an intriguing read that keeps you on the edge until the end. As in previous books, Deo and Draco protect their mate even when they have to punish her to do so. This is a steamy read and I would definitely recommend it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Shifters’ Call, Book 3. When the final battle looms, can hidden truths be found? Or will the ultimate evil triumph?
SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS BOOK 3 IN THE SHIFTERS’ CALL SERIES. THIS SERIES SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE READ IN ORDER. BOOK 1 IS THE WOLF’S DEMAND. BOOK 2 IS HER ALPHA MATES. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS, THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS.
Cassie, Deo, and Draco have survived…barely! As they return to Ravensloft seeking respite, they’ve no idea what’s waiting for them. Pegasi? More wolves? Another trilogy? Whoa! Wait a minute. What’s going on? As the answers slowly emerge, Cassie’s giddy with delight. Constantine, Pavlos, Nick, and Calypsa have seemingly appeared out of thin air with wonders Cassie never knew existed. But the excitement of the new and unexpected soon turns to blood-chilling terror. Seems the demons aren’t done with the Ambrosias. As the two packs merge, training’s soon filled with an urgency never felt before. Of course, the Ambrosia men all have their own special powers. Calypsa too has magic. So does Aunt Margaret. Even Cynthia, unmated and totally human, seems to have more powers than Cassie at times. Andrew, the sole human male among them, has become a fantastic warrior. Frustration sets in, and with it comes rebellion. As Uncle Artem reveals a long hidden secret, Cassie takes foolhardy risks time and again. Not even Deo and Draco’s love and discipline can rein her in. When the final battle finally arrives, it’s never been clearer who the demons want. Cassie knows that somehow, some way, it’s all up to her. The curse must be destroyed once and for all. But is that even possible? Any answers were destroyed long ago. All anyone knows is this is the FINAL battle…good versus evil…winner take all. Will Deo, Draco, anyone, be able to protect Cassie from herself? Can the others make any difference? When everything around them falls apart and defeat is staring them in the face, Cassie takes matters into her own hands. This time there will be no coming back. Is there any truth to the prophecy? Can Cassie find something in time to save them all? Or is this truly the end of everything?
In the final book of this trilogy, Maggie Ryan and Shanna Handel have outdone themselves yet again! This time we don’t just have Cassie, Deo, Draco and the rest of the original Ambrosia pack. There’s a new pack, one we know nothing about. Winged horses, magical abilities that seem impossible, new shifters…surprises lurk around every corner. If you thought the first two books in this series were nonstop thrills and chills, you’ve not seen anything yet. Even calling this a roller coaster of action, mystery, magic, and emotions doesn’t do this book justice! Pavlos and Constantine are what we’ve come to expect from the Ambrosia men, and yet they’re also not. (You’ll have to read the book to find out why!) Calypsa’s simultaneously adorable, outrageous, and mischievous. Nick is, at times, the comic relief. Alekos, Xander, Baal, Cynthia, Andrew, Aunt Margaret, Uncle Artem, and Aunt Dolly all return. They aren’t just the glue that holds the story together. They’ve always been a huge part of making this entire story work. There are new revelations about everyone, their pasts, presents, relationships, and even hints of the future, throughout this book. But it’s still Deo, Draco, and Cassie who hold center stage. These three are have always held a special place in my heart. Maggie Ryan and Shanna Handel have created magic yet again! This is an absolutely perfect blend of paranormal, shifters, magic, and steamy romance, one of the best I’ve ever read. Congratulations and thank you, Ms. Ryan and Ms. Handel! You’ve not just written another five-star novel. You’ll never know just how much these books have meant to me!
A final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the authors. They work hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
