When Maggie Mitchell, is transported to the thirteenth century Highlands will Laird Logan Carr help mend her broken heart or put it in more danger than before?
Generous, kind, and loving, Maggie nearly always puts the needs of others first. So when a mysterious elderly woman gives her an extraordinary pocket watch, telling her it’s a conduit to the past, Maggie agrees to give the watch a try, if … watch a try, if only to disprove the woman’s delusion.
But it works.
Maggie finds herself in the thirteenth century Scottish Highlands, with a handsome warrior who clearly despises her. Her tender soul is caught between her own desire and the disaster she could cause for others. Will she find a way to resolve the trouble and return home within the allotted sixty days? Or will someone worthy earn her heart forever?

well written ,flows well. Couldn’t put it down.
I enjoy time travel books very much, I love the one to go back to the 15th 16th and 17th century .
This is a lovely, entertaining time travel novella. Without fanfare, early in the story, the author has you believing that it’s all possible. I loved Maggie and Logan!
I thought this is a delightful story and characters.
Just really liked it.
This book kept me enthralled I read it all in one day could not put it down.
Time travel with a twist. Worth reading if you like a good, interesting “clean” (romance but not “descriptive”) time travel read.
“The Pocket Watch” was a different type of time travel book. It was an easy and fast read. There was romance, bjt it was a “clean” and enjoyable read. (I also reviewed this on Amazon.)
I liked this book. It had some surprising twists that kept me reading until the end. Surprising ending, too.
Love the idea of using a pocket watch as a time travel implement. The stories in this book are really good, characters are honest, real. I thought it interesting that the person going back in time went to someone that was dying. Very interesting.
loved it could not wait to read on to next chapter. Great value for money and great boom
This book is part of a series of time travel books, using an older woman with a magic pocket watch as a time travel device. The actual time travel consists of a voluntary soul exchange for 60 days, with someone who is about to die in another time. The death is prevented by the time traveler. At the end of 60 days, the time traveler must decide if they wish to remain in the other time or return to their own time. Either way the other person who would have died must leave earth, their time being up. The stories consist of adjusting to a different timeline, seeing life from a new perspective, changing the direction of a life in progress, and falling in love which then becomes a dilemma of whether to stay in a timeline not their own. The stories flow smoothly and are enjoyable light reading. The characters are likable. All have a happily ever after. I read the entire series on Kindle Unlimited.
I enjoy time travel books. This book was very entertaining.
Loved this book so much I’ve followed up with each book afterwards in the series.
Loved this book! I read another in the series, and am currently reading a 3rd. I’m sure I will read them all, and look for more from the same author!
I adore time travel books and this one will not disappoint.
The time travel premise is very clever: exchanging places with someone who is going to die. Sixty seconds remain on the time piece for the life left behind, this is in exchange for sixty days in the traveler’s life.
This was “can’t put it down” kind of book.
Genuinely a good read.
enjoyed all of the pocket watch series
I’m not fond of time travel novels but I like this series so much I’m on I’m reading the Midwife right now.
