Love changes people.I’m the first to admit that I, Keaton Bridges, used to be an immature, entitled ass.Okay, maybe I’m the second to admit it—after Roxy Carter. That loudmouth. But I’ve seen what true love has done for my friends, and I want it for myself.Somehow, I’m the only single guy left.Somehow, she’s the only single girl. The only time Foxy Roxy hasn’t been a loudmouth? That time we were … been a loudmouth?
That time we were making out at our best friends’ wedding.
And every time we’ve seen each other in the five years since then,
because she refuses to talk about it.
Well, she’s going to have to talk to me now.
It’s the dead of winter, and our six best friends were planning a getaway
at a Caribbean couples-only resort.
One of the couples had to drop out, and I refuse to be left out in the cold.
All Roxy and I have to do is pretend to be in love for one week so we can
spend some much-needed time with our favorite people.
And all I have to do is pretend I’m not dying to kiss her again.

This is my favorite rom-com ever and my very first book review. 🙂
Kayley Loring is more than ever my favorite rom/com writer. She perfectly blends hilarity with sweetness, romance and hotness. I can’t understand why Hollywood hasn’t made one of her stories into a movie, or maybe they have by now and I just don’t know it. But this would be a great chick flick.
I can’t think of one thing to complain about in this story. The writing technique is excellent. It’s got a great rhythm, and it’s smooth and easy to read. There’s LOL funny dialogue and prose, an amazing Hero and a heroine that you can warm up to, incredible setting, sizzling acrobatic sex, fun secondary characters known to us from previous books with great interaction between all of the characters. There’s a crisis that isn’t too painful or drawn out, and a really great ending and epilogue. There’s even some linguistics thrown in there. Everything you could want from a rom/com.
Whenever I have read a really dark, depressing book I follow it up with a Kayley Loring book to make me happy again. She always makes me laugh and her books are always five stars. The other books in this group are just as good and you should read them too. I can’t decide which is my favorite but I’m leaning toward this one.
**4.5 Stars**

This was my first Kayley Loring book and I went into it completely blind and wow…The Plus Ones is a frenemies to lovers story about Roxy and Keaton who have been sort of friends but kind of enemies within their larger circle of friends for a long time. They shared one kiss years ago and now they find themselves on a couples only getaway with their other married friends when one set of friends can’t go.
I really enjoyed Keaton and Roxy as characters. I loved their banter and enjoyed reading about them growing from frenemies to so much more on the getaway. As time went on, it really did seem like they were two halves of a whole, very much meant to be together. And I absolutely adored Keaton’s relatiosnhip with Jackpot…lol, or that he loved Roxy upon meeting her so much more than he ever loved or warmed up to Keaton.
The writing in this book was strong, the comedic humor kept me laughing out loud and the chemistry kept me hot, hot hot. I absolutely loved this circle of friends. I will definitely be checking out more of Kayley Loring’s work!
Roxie Carter and Keaton Bridges friendship is like oil and water. They keep running into each other at their mutual friends parties. Then they end up reluctantly portraying a loving couple at a couples only resort, when a mutual couple cancelled their reservation. There the sarcasm/teasing turns into.sparks, and then lust for each other
Mackenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton made this a fun story to listen to! audiobookobsessionreveiwer

The Plus Ones
By: Kayley Loring
Narrated by: Mackenzie Cartwright, Teddy Hamilton
This is a sweet and delightful story, it is a great slow burn frenemies to lovers type romance with a lot of charm and laughs. I enjoy Kayley Loring’s wonderful writing style, she creates stories that are captivating from start to end. Her characters are complex and well developed, they are likable and ones that are easy to relate to. I was happy to see Roxy get her own book, I adored her in “Tonight You’re Mine” her friend Aimee’s book, she is a hoot, full of sass and personality. Keaton also appeared in that book, I was not a fan of him then but he has come a long way personality wise and he redeems himself big time in this book. Roxy and Keaton share best friends and are godparents to their children. Roxy has avoided Keaton since they shared an intimate kiss five years earlier. The kiss was magical but she does not want to talk about it but Keaton is determined to. Their friends are leaving fora couple only vacation, when one of the couples back out they ask Roxy and Keaton to fill in and just pretend to be a couple. That is the plan and Roxy is determined to stick to it. I loved how this story plays out, it is well plotted with plenty of drama, humor, a bit of angst and a slow burn to a some hot romance. I loved these two together, they were like frick & frack, also love Keaton’s dog Jackpot and the sorry relationship he had with him. Kayley Loring, thank you for another fantastic story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. #ROXTON4EVA
I listened to the Audible edition, MacKenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton are awesome narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture and project the characters emotions into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a delight to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen

This was wonderful. It was a funny, sassy, and sexy love story. I loved it and the narrators were perfect.
I feel for Keaton and Roxy! I listened to the audio book and the narrators really brought this story to life. I was smiling, laughing, crying, and feeling every emotion possible. Keaton and Roxy’s determination to not be anything but not-friends, especially on Roxy’s side was frustrating but you could hear and feel their undeniable connection and attraction. The relationship with their friends was also so cute to see.

Enemies to lovers fans, meet your new favorite book! I loved it from the start. Roxy and Keaton are totally opposites. They can’t stand each other. Well more Roxy can’t stand him but he loves to push her buttons. They have to be in each others lives because they have mutual best friends and are god parents to the same boy. They end up going on a couples only vacation with their friends and pose as a couple. What is supposed to be fake starts to become so real. Then all they thought about each other is challenged. Did I mention they may have shared a kiss in the past? If you want hot steamy chemistry you have it in this book. I enjoyed it from the start to the end. While my heart was swooning, I was also cracking up at everyone’s interactions. These narrators really were the perfect voices for these characters and brought them to life. I could totally picture them. Romance fans, make sure you check this one out.
Keaton and Roxy’s story is so fun, sexy, and heartwarming! I loved it! Kayley Loring’s writing is amazing! This story is a standalone, but it was fun to see again some crossover characters from Tonight You’re Mine and Come Back to Bed. Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright did an outstanding job with the narration. I highly recommend it. Looking forward for more books written by Kayley Loring.
The Plus Ones is the latest novel by Kayley Loring and another fantastic page-turner. I’ve loved every book I’ve read from this author and this novel was no exception. The Plus Ones is a romantic comedy that’s sure to make you laugh out loud. It included both enemies to lovers and fake relationship trope and I was hooked from beginning to end. The novel was hilarious, steamy and sweet. I absolutely loved Keaton, Roxy on the other have took some getting used to as I really disliked her attitude in the beginning, however that did not stop me from fully enjoying this story. The appearance of the other couples from the previous books was an added bonus and I loved catching up with them. This novel was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of romantic comedies.
I listened to the audible version of this novel which was narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright. These two have easily become two of my favorite narrators and they were absolutely perfect for the role. They did a fantastic job with the narration, their pace and timing was excellent and they infused the right amount of emotion into the story. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Frenemies to lovers is the best kind of romance novel in my opinion and you definitely get that here and then some. Amazing writing with equally amazing narration.

They did such an amazing job by bringing Keaton and Roxy’s story to life, and making me feel part of it. Their interactions, chemistry, and connection was palpable. I found myself laughing out loud.

I really loved and enjoyed listening to this great and delightful story.
********* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *********
I just loved this storyline!! Keaton and Roxy are single but want to hang with their couple friends at a couples-only resort. They decide to “team up” so they can go to the resort too. However, faking a relationship isn’t as hard for them as they thought. Keaton and Roxy have chemistry. Now Keaton is just THE swooniest! Roxy is definitely a bit of an acquired taste but I found her to be funny and a bit crazy.
Really, Kayley Loring, I am just LOVING your audiobooks! They’re fun and light but packed with heat and sexual tension. I just couldn’t help but to devour this within a day of downloading it! Miss Loring created a super carefree story with a ton of humor and heat… so much heat between Keaton and Roxy. I know the narrators had a lot of do with the light and casual feeling from the Plus Ones. Teddy Hamilton did great at making Keaton seem just as he seems… fun, light-hearted and seriously into Roxy. I really like Mackenzie Cartwright. Her voice is just lovely and I found her to be enjoyable to listen to. She’s also tad of an attitude and honesty I liked the bit of role reversal.
The Plus Ones by Kayley Loring was great! Equal parts friends to lovers and fake relationship made for a really fun listen.
I had fun seeing Keaton and Roxy come together. Keaton was all the things. The man was sweet and caring and had me all up in me swoons and feels. Roxy was a bit harder to cheer for. She’s difficult and stubborn and just felt a bit immature at times. Still, as the book went on she began to grow and mature. But by the end I was full on rooting for her. Their chemistry was spot on and the will-they-won’t-they factor only added to that.
Narration was performed by Mackenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton. It’s no secret that Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite narrators and he did a perfect job bringing swoony Keaton to life. Mackenzie Cartwright was equally great. The sweetness in her voice helped to make Roxy more likable and I really enjoyed her narration overall.
4.5 #RoxTon Stars!
I absolutely loved this sweet and steamy, enemies-to-lovers rom-com! Roxy and Keaton have a history through mutual friends. This story starts out 5 years previously at their best friends wedding when they both realize they want the kind of love and family that is alluding them both. They share a passionate kiss but Roxy pulls back knowing they are too different. Roxy comes from hard working blue collar parents, and Keaton was raised with privilege. But privilege doesn’t always mean life is perfect. Keaton acted out as a young adult but has become a better man. Roxy doesn’t want to believe it and tries to ignore her attraction to him, realizing that he could destroy her heart. In present time, Roxy and Keaton have only interacted with antagonistic banter and snarky comments. Now they have a chance to go to a tropical getaway with their friends, but need to pretend to be a couple to do it. This leads to so many awkward and hilarious moments but some very hot and sexy times too! This is such a refreshing and fun romance. Keaton is so kind, thoughtful, and deliciously dirty, while Roxy is smart, and funny. I loved them both and thought they made a perfect pair.
Mackenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton were so perfectly cast to narrate this hilarious and heartwarming romance. They did a great job embodying these characters and setting the stage for all the fun, and excitement to come. Both narrators have a wonderful range of voices and expressions that I love to get lost in and make this story even better. This is my first book by Loring and I loved it and can’t wait to check out more of her work!
Audio Review: The Plus Ones by Kayley Loring (Author), MacKenzie Cartwright (Narrator), Teddy Hamilton (Narrator)
Smart and sassy takes on humorously, heartwarming. Loring digs deep into the insecurities of life, love and happily ever after with a fresh, comedic voice. The Plus Ones will have hearts cheering, lips smiling and senses on overload. Hamilton and Cartwright tickle the eardrums with an amazing delivery of what women what and why men tend to be a bit clueless. Keaton and Roxy take high maintenance to the next level of irritating with adorable results. Love means war and everybody wins in the most delightful way.
The Plus Ones

Bring me more books like this! I am in love with Kayley Loring. Each book I listen to, I am completely invested, laughing out loud, feeling their pain and pushing to find that happily ever after! This book in particular is so much fun because it involves couples we have previously met and it gives us that glimpse of their future! But as we learn, Keaton and Roxy have not yet met the one for them. These two are the only ones that aren’t married, and the question is why? Could it be the attraction they have had for each other forever? Or are they just not suited? Well, we get to see when the two join their friends on a couples vacation. Pretending to be a couple isn’t easy, or is it? Join in their fun, with laughter, love, steamy passion, and good friends. These two will have you going along for their ride, frustrated and anticipating that climax, pun intended.
Loring continues to have such amazing taste in narrators to bring her stories to life. She has Mackenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton team up to give us a performance that makes you feel at home with friends, waiting to see where the story will go. I love this team, their voices are so well suited to the characters and they compliment each other so well. It’s a pleasure to listen.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
My first read from Kayley Loring and I was not disappointed!!! I don’t think not having read the other books in the series took away from the story at all, but I will at some point go read them!
I adored Keaton… he was fabulous and when he knew how he really felt about his ‘Foxy Roxy’, I liked that he openly acknowledged what he wanted!
Roxy, spunky, sarky and mouthy she had a front that covered a great, slightly vulnerable heart and she was the perfect challenge for Keaton.
Took them a good long while to even think they could be a couple, but after they initially headed down that path, they didn’t let much of anything stop them.
This was a fun, laugh out loud read with great, engaging characters (Jackpot was crazy but lovable!!), some fabulous group text chat and wonderful ‘word’ use – you’ll get what I mean with that when you read the book!!
Loved the epilogue and that the book was in dual POV.
The Plus Ones is a definite 5* for me and a book I can certainly see myself rereading more than once!!
Imagine being on a beautiful island that you aren’t even supposed to be on, but you are having the time of your life. Now imagine being with all your couple best friends and the guy who you are supposed to hate.
Foxy Roxy and Keaton had known each other for years, but they were always the single friends in their group of married friends. What happens when all your friends go on a couples only trip and another room opens up and Roxy and Keaton have to play nice?
I loved these two characters and the chemistry they had together. This is the fourth book in a series with interconnected characters, but I did not feel lost having not read the first three. I will probably go back and read them though if they are as good as this book was! Definitely recommend if you like a good enemies to lovers romance!
