Peyton Castillo’s life is nearly perfect. She has a job that makes her happy, the perfect apartment, friends who love her, and all the time in the world to do whatever she wants, whenever she wants. She’s single and loving it, but she has a handful of weddings she’s RSVPed to and no plus-one to go with. That’s where Adam Portman, her gorgeous-and-knows-it coworker comes in. Peyton’s proposal is … proposal is simple: she’ll complete a work assignment Adam’s been dreading if he agrees to be her date to one of the weddings.
The offer is tempting, but sparks fly when Adam counters with a proposal of his own. That work assignment isn’t the only thing he’s been dreading. His parents’ 30th anniversary celebration is coming up soon and his mother is determined to set him up with her best friend’s daughter, who will be at the party. Adam needs a date to play along and convince his mom he’s off the market, and Peyton is the perfect choice…

Adam and Peyton are so cute. I love the way this slow burn story seems to sneak up on you and on Peyton. I like secondary characters. Adam has a fun family and they add so much dimension to the story as does Maxie and Lindsey. Cute, fun, sweet and still some heat.

The Plus-One Proposal is the story of Peyton Castillo, who has a perfect life except no date for the weddings s she will be attending , and Adam Portman, her co-worker who agrees to be her date if she completes one of his work projects. This friendsto lovers quick read novella has humor, witty banter, and a secret romance. It’s a fun contemporary read.

This is my first time reading something by Ms. Cross, and I have to say it was a very fun and delightful read! This was a very cute friends to lovers romance. Peyton and Adam have been friends and co-workers for quite some time. Their back and forth banter kept me smiling the whole way through. They were the perfect couple, even though it took them a while to figure that out. It was nice that they already had a good friendship going. It didn’t feel rushed when they started to realize their feelings for each other were much deeper. It was a quick and fun read and the storyline flowed nicely. I would love to go back and read the other books in this series!

She has a bunch of wedding invitations to go to and no one to go with her. Her co-worker that she is good friends with is her only option. They are always there for each other. It is short and sweet to see how their friendship develops into more and has a very happy ending that neither had expected.

This is my first read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It was cute and I loved that Adam was so patience with Peyton. I definitely will read the other books in the series. Highly anticipating Lindsay’s book.
Peyton and Adam work together, they share a cubicle and are considered each others work spouses. Peyton doesn’t want a relationship right now because she is focused on her work. Peyton has a lot of weddings to go to and no one to go with here and she comes up with a proposal for Adam to go to a wedding with her and she will complete a frustrating work assignment for him. Peyton and Adam have a lot of fun together. Peyton and Adam each make a counter proposal for 5 more weddings and Peyton agrees to go to Adam’s parents wedding anniversary party weekend at their lake house. The chemistry and attraction between Adam and Peyton is off the charts hot and intense.

Main characters well described and defined. They develop nicely through the story. I like their chemistry which is steaming of the pages. A couple that fits so well together but they have to see it themselves. A sort of friendship developing into a relationship. I like the funny side and their dynamic.
I would have liked the story to be a bit longer, but it is still entertaining and recommendable to others. A cute and realistic story.
A funny story of two co-workers, who basically have a relationship during work, but ignore it outside their work time until one day Payton needs a date for a wedding she has to attend to .
The characters are entertaining and the story is intriguing enough to keep you reading.
A truly enjoyable read.

Peyton is in the perfect relationship with her work husband Adam but when they agree to spend time together outside of work things turn serious. This is a wonderful book and some well written characters. Loved the way that she finally realize that Adam is the perfect man for her.
A delightful little read of work husband / work wife that leads to so much more. Wonderful characters that blend so well off each other with such an easygoing work relationship. Love the storyline with the negotiating of the actual trades, very well done with believability. Great outcome and I was thrilled that the big sister was able to get her point across in a fun manner.

This is part of a series but its the first book I have read in the series and by this author. This is a best friends at work romance turning into love and its in the POV only of Peyton. Its also a short story. Only 80 pages.
Adam and Peyton are best friends and married at work never outside work. Until one day Peyton asks him to be her date for a wedding and he asks her to reciprocate. The two are in love but Peyton is very in love with the singles life so Adam never rocks that boat until Peyton discovers that she might want more.
This was a cute and short story and I enjoyed the characters. It is a nice lunch hour read but there are no complications. Its a straight forward friends finding love together and no real complications.

What a perfectly wonderful love story. I thought Adam and Peyton were just a perfect couple, although they didn’t realise it at first. A lovely story and I now have to read the others in this series.

“The Plus One Proposal” by Cassie Cross was a relatively short read (novella-length) without a whole lot of character development, but the story itself was cute, sweet, and amusing, and I enjoyed the couple of hours I spent reading it on a chilly afternoon.
Both of the main characters, co-workers Peyton and Adam, were likeable and funny, and I really enjoyed their relationship dynamic, especially the witty banter. They acted exactly like best friends from the very beginning of the story, so I was surprised that it took them so long to acknowledge that aspect of their relationship. It was much easier for me to understand why Adam was concerned about the prospect of admitting his romantic feelings to Peyton. She made her stance on romantic relationships pretty clear to everyone, and while I completely understood (and agree with!) her desire to travel and have a career before settling down, I was very happy that she recognized her true feelings for Adam before it was too late. They made a great couple, and I’d like to think that they will have lots of adventures together in the future.
Overall, “The Plus One Proposal” was a lot of fun and I would recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance. I look forward to checking out more books by Ms. Cross in the future.

Peyton and Adam work together and are very close friends. She laughs he is her work husband but in truth with the amount of time they do share with one another, they really seem to be in a relationship. She has several weddings coming up and needs a plus 1. She bribes him in doing a report to go with her and in return she has to attend a weekend away for his parents anniversary party. Everyone around knows these two love each other but it takes the nudge of his mom to make Adam confess. Thus is a cute shirt read on how coworkers take the leap for true love.
