One of my favorites – ever!
This is one of my all-time favorite books. From page 1 I was deeply engrossed. I wish the book was twice or three times this long!
Initially I read the book while travelling, but I got so engrossed in the story that I just had to read at every available opportunity.
I could not get enough of the entire series and read them in no time. This was Ken Follett’s best I think.
Ken Follett has never written a bad book, and this collection is outstanding, even for him!

This is a book to fall into.
This is a phenomenal story. You get involved with the characters from page one. Some are endearing, some you feel sorry for, some you can’t help rooting for and then there are those you absolutely despise. Loved it!!
One of the best books I have ever read
Great read. Takes you right into the medieval world.
I never thought I’d get through a book like this. But it kept me wanting to read more and more. I had just started reading again and this is a long book, but I will say now, it is one of my favorites ever that I have read. Captivating for me, a page turner, a book I couldn’t wait to pick up and read each day and night. Great characters…I told many people to read it, it was absolutely a must read. Loved it. !
Would read again.
Who would think that a book about old world building of cathedrals and the people who built them would be so interesting? This is the best book I have ever read. I learned a lot about history too.
It feels like you are living the n the harsh realities of the cathedral building era
