Wonderful story and characters giving life to a historic period.
Be ready to read the whole saga. You won’t read just one. This book stays with you for a long time.
This book made me a Ken Follett fan for life. It was my first Ken Follett book that I read many years ago., I’ve many more since.
One of the best books I’ve ever read. Loved the history and architectural descriptions.
Plot driven to the point that it makes no sense.
I hardly ever read something more than once, but have read this 3 times.
VERY LONG
My favorite book of all time.
Read this book years ago and I still feel it is one of the best!! Then I found it was continued in two more books!! I was thrilled and read them ALL–best of the trilogies I have seen. I think most adults with an interest in history will find them enthralling….
Best book I ever read! And I read all the time. I actually read it twice.
Loved this series
The book is too long. It is hard to keep track of all the characters. It would be better if Follett had made three or four books out of it as a series. It just went on FOREVER!
This book got me started reading and loving historical fiction years ago!
a great book. well written and researched.
One of the best books I’ve ever read.
Totally unexpected shift in genre from that author but well worth the read.
Great book about the building of a cathedral in an English town.
This might be the best book I’ve ever read. It still resonates with me years later
Best book I have ever read!’n
Amazing book! It made me read 7 more of Follett’s novels and I have yet to be disappointed.
