The whole series. Just a real education in how the cathedrals were built…how it took generation of committed people to get them off the ground. The obstacles they faced. Just a truly great and epic read.
Extremely historic and educational.
A good read and hard to put down. I’ve read it twice.
Set back in early times, biblical wars, witch craft. Family torn apart by the king and his rule. Seriously great book
Very interesting. It was really long and it was interesting to watch the characters develop over years of their lives.
Probably my all time favorite book
This is a book for the entire summer! or any other season as well. Well documented and well written. Teaches you history without pain. Enjoy!
One of my favorites.
This trilogy is FANTASTIC! Reading them in order is better than what I did. LOL Mr. Follett is a master… A friend mentioned I may like him about 18 months ago. I have read 22 of his books since. East tomb is a classic in telling a tale, the characters are sensational, the writing is superb Enjoy! I know I did!!!
His best book ever and surprisingly one of his first. An all time favorite. A classic
This is in my top ten favorite books of all time!

Difficult to get into, but worth the struggle!
This book is very long but well worth reading. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
One of my all time favorite books. I have given copies as gifts.
This book is #1 on my favorite books list. I have read it 3 times, and will read it again.
Ken Follett draws characters that you care about and that you learn from.
The first time I started the book and saw the date, I thought…. why am I reading a story about the 1100s? This can’t be any good. But the story and the every day problems that the people encounter along the way, are every bit as relevant today. This is just a wonderful story to lose yourself in. Enjoy!
One of my favorite books of all time.
Wonderful written story
My favorite book f all time. The entire series is very good.
Compelling, gripping, but long, story. Follows two generations in the building of a medieval cathedral. Full of triumph, pathos, tragedy . . . . Some excellent writing here.
