A fun, easy read; good solid mystery.
Good story teller with a thoughtful plot. Want to stay with it even though too many
issues are resolved with results bordering on fantastical and lots of outdated stereotypes.
I enjoy all of Mark Gimenez. He is altogether as good as John Greshem. His approach is exciting and often surprising. Great writer!
Have read several books of this author and loved each one. Recommended them to my husband and he also liked them as did my sister.
Great author
Great read!
Pretty sad really with a love-sick fool unable to resist a temptress with mean intentions.
I loved this book!!! Mark Gimenez is one of my favorite authors. I eagerly await his next book as I have read all of his books so far. This was my very favorite!!
While I already enjoyed novels about the law, Gimenez takes that pleasure to another level. His stories are exciting!
I started reading this book and thought it looked fairly long. I usually only read for about 1/2 hour before going to sleep at night, and a long book is kind of hard for me to keep track of the story. I was sucked into the story very quickly and found myself staying up late just to get to the next part if the story. A real page turner!
Highly reccomend this book!
Wow, what a pleasant surprise! A real page turner, great characters and excellent writing. Highly recommended.
Cliche
This book kept me on the edge of my seat! Plenty of twists & turns.
A fascinating legal thriller with a Texas twist!
Mark Gimenez writes as great a legal thriller as John Grisham (one of my favorite writers)!
I really enjoyed this. A who done it mystery.
Wasn’t sure where story was going so I kept reading until I had to finish it. Interesting story about life in Texas.
Reviewers seemed to think the book is too political. Knowing Fredericksburg, I think the author is right on about the conflicts between the old guard Germans, the liberal storeowners (from Austin) and the Hispanics. Good book with a good hero. I do like his style.
Stays exciting. Great fleshed out characters.
