It was one night. He wasn’t supposed to rock my world. Gray Lucas is everything I hate in a man. Cocky, rich, entitled and a player. He’s a pro athlete and his exploits are legendary—one of which was me. We had a one-night-stand. It was wild, passionate, exhilarating and a big mistake. Except maybe it wasn’t. Because the more time I spend with him and his crazy family, the more I want him to … time I spend with him and his crazy family, the more I want him to stay…
But men don’t stay…do they?
Book 1 and a complete standalone romantic comedy.

5 Stars Worthy, this author knows how to pull you in when she’s telling a story, the characters are hilarious
This book was hilarious. Jordan Marie knows how to write funny books . Ida-Sue was a freakin hoot. I’m currently reading book two now. And I’ve already laughed so hard and im only up to chapter 4. If you’ve read any of Jordans books you know what I’m talking about.
I love Grays she was the funniest it made me think that’s right don’t mess the boys mom
This book is so darn funny and romantic, that I continued to laugh out loud with the characters, especially he mom….reminded me of a hippy in the 60’s, naming her sons after colors, ie. White, Green, etc!!!! and the daughters after flowers. She is a hoot and well worth the read!!
The perfect stroke!
Admittedly I don’t know much about golf, but I definitely know a thing or two about family and love! I loved Gray and his crazy family and I want Ida Sue to adopt me because she can:) CC was definitely a harder character to love, because she had so much that she kept from Gray with regards to what happened with the Rivertons and her mother. I was surprised when the secret was revealed because never in my wildest dreams did I foresee what it was! That said, this book is definitely got a lot going for it – it has a sassy heroine and a cocky hero yet both are down to earth which is refreshing. Looking forward to the other stories to come in this series and I’m hopeful Mer will find herself a Lucas brother too, that would be the prefect stroke:)
One of my favorite Jordan Marie books! If you haven’t tried her yet, what are you waiting for?!
WOW! This is my first book by Jordan Marie and I was impressed. I read the description of the book and decided to take a chance on it since I’ve been really into stories containing athletes lately and am I glad I did!! The story flowed extremely well, and I never felt like there was a lull in the advancement of the plot. As most plots, the main characters went through their highs and lows and I felt that these issues never seemed forced or thrown in just for the sake of conflict. The characters were extremely well built and even though the leading male was a professional golfer, he was written in a way that still made him seem attainable to the everyday person, making it easy to place myself in the story. The supporting characters, friends and family, had this feature too. They were written as characters you could clearly see being your best friend or family members, prodding you for details about last night, or embarrassing you in front of your new boo. I appreciate when stories do that because they not only act as a bit of comic relief during the main conflict of the stories, but they also make the “fairytale” aspect of romance novels, seem so much more in reach, because you feel like you know people like that. This book is the first in its series and I cannot wait to read the rest of them.
Gray and CC will make you laugh and love with their hole in one HEA! CC may seem tougher than nails and to the outside world she is this saucy no nonsense mechanic and on one hand that’s true but she also has this softer side that she guards fiercely. Having grown up under the tutelage of a rough and tumble but loveable man like her adoptive father Banger she gained a lot of life skills, but emotionally is a little stunted. When blowing off a little steam she comes across one Gray Lucas and has a fun and sexy weekend excepting never to see him again… until he happens to break down in front of her garage. Gray is considered to be golfs playboy and he is just fine with that moniker. He has no plans to shackle himself anytime soon and likes to have his indiscriminate fun. After a couple memorable nights with a saucy redhead, Gray is surprised he when wants to see the delectable CC again and when fate breaks him down in front of her Garage it seems like like destiny. Usually he cannot get woman to stop hanging on, but the beautiful and vivacious Cooper is not falling for his usual charms. She is not like other women and he is falling helplessly under her spell. Now he just needs to convince her to take a chance on him. But what he doesn’t know is that outside of his playboy ways she has other hazards that will need to be traversed if he wants to win her heart.
I’m still smiling
How’d I miss this treasure? I can’t remember when I’ve smiled and laughed so much whilst reading a book. Jordan brings this and so much more. I can’t recommend this book enough.
Favorite Exerpt:
“I look into his eyes, finding them so deep and intense. Am I? Why am I so nervous? I’ve withstood bigger storms in my life than Gray Lucas, right? If this all blows up, then it will be my shame alone and I’ll just go on. If it doesn’t, then could what started off as a one -night stand become something… more?”
Review:
Jordan Marie has been one of my favorites since I devoured the Devil’s Blaze MC Series that concluded this spring. Knock me over with a feather that her next venture was not another explosively suspenseful, gritty, insanely sexy MC series that she has always delivered in the past. This gem is a romantic comedy of epic proportions that is a literal goldmine with the cast of characters she introduces in The Perfect Stroke.
Jordan Marie is amazing at crafting the cocky player in Gray, while completely hitting the mark with fiery CC. The whirlwind hits them both unaware, and these scenes are incredible between these two!
I am completely in love with the introduction of Gray’s super huge, crazy, hysterical family that I can’t wait to read more about! She has given us a finely crafted, multi-layered surprise that left me with the feels, throwing my kindle at antagonistic characters, giggling hysterically around each corner, and wanting more, more, more! A perfect summer read!

Absolutely loved it!!!
Not a bad read, fairly well written… although there were some flow issues. I like the big family and name angle!! Will continue reading series on Unlimited!
I have read and loved every one of Jordan Marie’s MC books so when I saw she had written another book I grabbed it right up. But because it wasn’t MC I kept putting off reading it. I really need to quit doing that! I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! It is SO funny.
Gray is cocky and sexy and boy, does he know it. He has no problem finding somewhere new to practice his stroke. he doesn’t chase women, they chase him. But almost from the beginning, he knows CC is different. So when he happens to run into her again he breaks his own rules trying to get together with her again. But CC doesn’t make things easy for him.
CC wasn’t looking for more than a good time when she met Gray. In fact, she almost shot him down right from the start. And when he showed up in her small town she definitely wasn’t interested in things continuing. But hey, why not take advantage of the situation, Gray wasn’t going to be around for long, right?
Well, things don’t always work out like we expect them to and this time was no different. There were plenty of twists and turns in this book and lots of laughs. Really looking forward to getting to know more of Gray’s crazy family. I was more than pleasantly surprised with this book.
Love it when opposites attract. Fun read.
Overall this is a good book. I enjoyed that it had many things I’d never read about before (golfer, mechanic, crayon boys). But I also felt that is was cheesy and it had so many steamy scenes that it got to the point that I was like “again, seriously?” And they became repetitive.
This is my second time reading this book. I was reading some of the reviews before I started it this time and it made me wonder if I was forgetting what the book was like. I really enjoyed this book so I was right in remembering that I liked it the first time around. Gray was a jerk and a player in the beginning and CC had a lot of insecurities but I really enjoyed their journey. Gray really only had eyes for CC after they met, it just took him awhile to realize that fact. There was a bit of mystery surrounding the family Gray was supposed to be wooing for sponsorship that was quite a tangled web in regards to CC. I really enjoyed how karma caught up with them. I did think the book was a little long but I can’t wait to read about the rest of Gray’s crazy family.
This book was great. I loved the characters. They had me laughing and swooning! The family of the hero is great. I can’t wait to read the next ones in the series!
I enjoyed this romantic story. It was really easy to read and good for a true romantic.
Liked characters and interaction.
Enjoyed the humor of the main characters who are from different backgrounds. Nicely done!
