At least perfect on the outside — really well written
What a terrible person this Mother and Mother in law was. Hard to believe she could be so cruel to her own family
That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and feel very lucky to come from a loving family!
For women everywhere with a MIL from hell!
I loved how the author found such thoughtful and stunning ways to twist words to make all the characters in the book feel like they were questioning their sanity and yet know that something wasn’t quite right. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Tragic and all too realistic … for anyone who has ever, ever lived with a malignant narcissist. Parts of it were hard for me to read and I didn’t write a review because it cut too close to old wounds. Not for me to commit murder, but I recognized all of the emotions and terrible damage. It took many, many years to understand what had happened and what continued to occur; I could definitely relate to the desperation.
If you’re not sure if a member of your family is a sociopath, you’ll know when you finish this book!
three women in love with three men. Three men and their mother. Where is the line in the sand and who will cross it
The “Perfect Familyl” is far from perfect which made it an interesting and entertaining read. The characters were all well developed and pivoted around the matriarch of the family. At first I assumed the description of perfect was used because the family had flaws and weaknesses like most families. After reading it I hope that’s not true because the undercurrent of this family was manipulative and evil. Very entertaining and while not entirely believable, still a good read.
It was so good.I couldn’t put it down.
Fun, easy read with lots of twisty turny family dysfunction.
It was an interesting story with a good ending.
Relatable characters with a well conceived plot. Twists and turns till the end. Worth your time. Most interesting ride!
An. Entertaining thriller with twists and turns that kept me guessing right up to the last page.
Actually enjoyed the read mostly because the characters and scenarios were very believable and relatable, tho towards the end they threw in a rather outrageous past for the main character that was pretty unlikely and I thought much of that was totally unnecessary and detracted from the overall believability of the book. If I was rating 1-5 I’d be tempted to reduce it from 4.2 to 3.5 because of that but since everything else about it was pretty good I would not, despite my irritation with that section.
I liked this book. It is well written. Some of the story was predictable but much was recognizing what we don’t know about one another no matter how closely related we are. Good twists right up to the end.
Slow at first, but good!
This book made me antsy. I wanted to jump into the book and shake these people.
Omg, omg, omg, omg
Genius
Seriously excellent book
I liked the way it “wrapped up”!
Was an interesting read and draws the reader in as it gets stranger and stranger. Good read
